    Not a shock.

I wanted him in the Draft.

Instead we took a 223 pound MLB.

Beane’s blind spot for Brown is hurting the team.

Is there any way to trick the Bills front office into thinking rounds 1, 2 and 3 are rounds 5, 6, and 7?

…and I’m kind of not joking.

Our next pro bowlers drafted in rounds 1, 2, and 3 will be, if memory serves, our first pro bowlers drafted in rounds 1, 2, and 3 since round 1, 2018.

If he were going to land anywhere is there a better landing spot than with Dabol?

50-50 he makes the team depending upon what he has left, but if he makes the team no way…no way he is a wall flower.  He gets touches.  A lot of them.

Good for him and good for the Giants.

@dollars 2 donuts, how many times have you run this same simulation to verify accuracy? 🤔😃

HUDS, honest to goodness, no lie, in Madden '93 if I really needed it...I mean really needed it I would have Thurman...actually just Number 34 I believe back then, run a sweep.  I would go all the way to the sideline, cut hard and then straight up the field...forever.

If I was at the 20, it was an 80 yard TD ALMOST every time.

Andre to the flags worked well too,, but it is crazy how much I turned to Thurman.  I think Madden '93 was just before the '92 season and was based upon the '91 season and in that one, I believe, Kelly was League MVP and Thurman was no slouch so they were, as the kids say today, the shiznit.

    ...do they say that still?

Maybe beautious?  Forget it, that's from my time.

I’m flying my three kids up from Tampa for the Raiders.  It should be great.  Only my sons are going to the game with all of their cousins and uncles.  My daughter will hang with my Dad, and sisters.

It’s a family weekend so no big tailgating goals, just good family fun.  Hopefully I’ll see someone you there.  I’ll see if I can talk them into going to Hammers as that’s like home when we fly up.

Guns informed me outside of this Board that he will buy every single Member of TSW who shows up a super mighty at the Transit Road MT at noon on the Saturday before the game.

I may have misunderstood his text, but you know what, let's just go with the above for now.

Don't be jerks and ask for extras that cost money like guac.  Be fair to the guy, he is a great Board Member and very generous.

716, I know that.  I was kidding back with you.  DK2 is too early to tell.  Rookie TE’s usually don’t pan out to too much, but it is 2023.  Pitts had a big first year, but he wasn’t just a 1st, he was the ATL offense. and has more speed than DK2.

I think because he could morph into the slot option around 500-600 yards, but he’ll be sharing with the OG DK, and there is more from Cook on top of Diggs and Davis.

I’m just patient in waiting until we see it.  Remember last year when the McKenzie hype after Crowder went down went on steroids.

Agreed, Era, but you know who you are leaving out (just a little bit)?

Jordan Poyer.  With our safety duo back in tact I can't wait for those times that McDermott sends Poyer flying in (and he will) from a blind, or hell, even straight on angle.

Crazy...he has been in the League for 11 years, six of that with Buffalo, but 10 of his 11 career sacks and 22 of his 24 career picks are with the Bills.

I doubt it. It's quite clear that there's serious hate for Allen at EA Sports. Despite a somewhat low 93 overall rating, there are several triggers which make him a serious liability. For one, his awareness is far too low causing him to make a lot of bad decisions. While his rate of fumbling is far too high, in Madden, his fumbling is absolutely ridiculous. Additionally, his pocket presence is "paranoid", causing him to panic far sooner than in real life. I once ran a simulation game in spectator mode and he fumbled 3 times in a sequence of just 8 offensive plays including 2 fumbles on 2 consecutive plays. His Madden avatar , despite his leading the NFL in turnovers in 2022, is a far cry from reality. I always have to go into the Bills roster and fix the most obvious errors to get a more realistic performance from him. Otherwise the Bills massively underperform as a team. I fully expect the same nonsense from the Madden raters in Madden 24.

Mahomes & Brady were the cover athletes for Madden in 2022. Nothing bad happened to them!

And nothing bad happened to the 2023 cover guy, as he was.... well, not alive 🤔

This is silly. How is there "serious hate" and how is 93 overall "somewhat low?" 🤣

That leaves only Mahomes & Burrow ahead of him, which is pretty much how most people see it. If we weren't Bills fans, some people would say he's too high. Jalen Hurts is an 89, ranked below Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson & Justin Herbert. If they rated him any higher, there'd be people raging about how overrated EA has him (which some already do).

I don't care about his awareness rating though. He does fumble more than other QB's, and he LEAD THE LEAGUE in turnovers last year for all QB's... He's still a 93 overall! That's not "serious hate" by any metric.

Read my post more closely. Better yet, put he game in spectator mode and use the CPU Skill slider "SIMSLIDERS". Set the game settings to 15 minute quarters and the play countdown to 13 seconds. You'll see what I mean. He's an absolute horror show. My son won't even play Madden any more online because of the absurd fumble rate. Yes he fumbles too much, but 4 or more times per game? For example, Kyler Murray ran 4 times fewer than Allen in 2022, but fumbled almost twice as much. His "Carrying" rating (A player's ability to avoid fumbles) was something like 12 to 16 points higher than Allen's. Clearly that's bias at work.

True, if you always slide or go out of bounds when you run with him. Plus, when controlled by you, that automatically overrides several of his triggers that make him cost the team wins.

As someone here who has written about this before on this board in years past…yeah, they grudgingly would raise at an inconsistent pace with others, and his initial yearly rankings were low.

That said, 93 is about right, maybe a tad low, but it is fine.

Do you remember his 2020 season?  He was something special, right?  He was also three years deep into his career.

At the start of the following Madden season, if memory serves, he wasn’t amongst the top…10 QBs.  🙄🤪

Well they can’t be worse than the G’s last year, and I have compassion for Brown who fought through the neck and back issues and no off season all the way back to his last year in college.

Ya know Guns we are a particular, and probably NFL standard, sort around here.

Justifiably if there is issue with Allen's health (shoulder, elbow) as a fan base we come to his defense.  As we should and given his level of play when he is healthy.

You and others have previously referenced Brown's injuries, lack of a true recovery, and continued concussive ( to the body) nature of the position he plays.

...and generally from a lot of us he almost gets an "F' you, be better or be gone."

I like the moves Beane has made on the Oline.  However, I am hoping that Brown can at least get back to what he was his rookie year, when healthy.

If he doesn't that is too bad, because he did so much imposing of his will that first year.  However I am very much pulling for him, because he is one of our guys, because he's done it before, and because of the disadvantages he has experienced caused by his injuries, especially at that position.

Maybe we could cut him a break and see.

    Go Bills.

Bibles of truth there in only a few short words, Doc.

It happens…Scent of a Woman for Pacino and the Color of Money for Newman come to mind.  Got wonder a bit with the next roles for Glenn Close (6 noms, no win) and Amy Adams (5).

so loved the original True Grit.  Then Bridges was awesome. My brother ended up buying the book.  It is a quick and good weekend read as enjoyable as the movie if you are a reader (his comment).

Nothing, because in an era where everything is remade, and poorly at that, the Bridges/Damon/Steinfeld remake was simply a great movie and a nice surprise.

All I know for sure is the Cody Ford was not a good football player when he was here.

so hard not to be this.  In the alternative my friend preached Creed Humphrey up and down to anyone who would listen (me).

Creed a solid starter his rookie year, a pro bowler his second and he is plugged in there for 10 years.

Taking Basham over Humphrey was pretty big one.  Mitch honestly could have been switched to guard.
