Mike Tomlin Should Be On The Hot Seat?

3 head coaches on that team in 47 years. We had 3 head coaches over a period of 742 days From December 2014 to January 2017. Man. -

Is having a franchise quality QB essential for
dollars 2 donuts replied to KingRex's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think for here it is...for Green Bay, it is. I think the 800 lb gorilla in the room is that it is still difficult to get people to come here, unless you are a winner. OK, so maybe it is the chicken or the egg thing, but I think you get to be better, quicker, and with more attention with a star QB than just being sort of good as a team. -
Plus there is absolutely every indication he will be able to trade for Hogan and bring stability back to our WR group. 3...2...1

The Patriots are division rivals. Their job has always been to pound us and everyone else in the division. IT is the nature of the beast. It's like getting mad at the sun for burning you. Marrone was a surly S**, not likef at OBD by the administration right on down to secretaries. He could have stayed and opted to walk..just walk...with cash...without even talking to his players. Dareus is "buying in" now with the Jags because he is no longer doing the Buffalo Pout which we seen before (Willis, Sammy, was it Gallery from Washington?). I like Bortles' moxy, though. I strongly dislike Patriots fans, I just don't know

What's the price to move up and get our guy?
dollars 2 donuts replied to ProcessTheTrust's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So much this. IF they are spending 140 million to sign Cousins I'm looking at 21 and 22 to help this team out immediately, not drafting a QB for the future when the future has already been planned out for at least 4 years, given cap ramifications. This is what people have to realize about Cousins, if he falters he's still going to be our QB for awhile. Still draft a QB, but it can wait. If signed hopefully Cousins would be very good. However, if he isn't you still aren't going to put him on the bench for 25 million per year. -

Why I Think the Smart Move is Pay to Get Cousins
dollars 2 donuts replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it is going to be about 140 million and I just don’t think he is worth it and the limited space it gives this team to make moves. dont get me wrong, I think he is good...very good. However, I don’t know if it will translate into being good for this team and once he’s signed, he’s signed, it’s over. You better love him because you not only have to keep him for years you have to play him at that price and we are not SF or Minny, meaning we don’t have tons of cap space. id take my chances on a top kid, or a later first round kid and Alex Smith and then sign some people. -
Well, you got one from me, Step!
-
Indeed, Chuck. Ya know what else? We have been horrrrrrrrrible at keeping our own guys, or wanting them to stay on our team. Don't get me wrong, I want us to sign and keep our guys for stability. However, I am just not going to have "filling the many holes" be the deciding factor when it comes down to whether or not we should go after a franchise QB.

If Darnold, Rosen and Mayfield are in their top three and they love one (or all) of them, go all in and get your man. If one is still available at 3 or 4, then send #21, 22, a second rounder and maybe something else from this year, or 2019 (but not a 1 or a 2 from 2019). Defend it? Look, they've had holes for a while. I'd rather have holes with a "serious" potential franchise QB than more holes filled without him. Risks? No one wants to dance because they need a QB or the price is too high...higher than what I have stated above. If that is the case, do the veteran bridge (Alex Smith) and draft Rudolph or Jackson. Why I would not get Cousins: He may be great, but being in the neighborhood of $140 million you better be darn sure as you are not getting rid of him after year two if things don't work out. This is your guy for at least 4 years. Rather take my chances for a couple years on a young franchise QB for 5-6 million per year.

I am surprised they find it more boring than Snooker. Just put the ball in the d*** hole, will you. -

Is there any reason to believe that Rosen and Darnold won't go 1 and 2 to Cleveland and the Giants?
