  1. 'caus speculation is that is the going rate.
  2. Pure speculation! 5 years 50 or so million. Anything less than that and I'll be doing cartwheels.
  3. At 16 million dollars per, I'd be looking for that guy to at the very least catch 100 balls, with 12 TDs for 1,400 yards...at the very least. Can he do it? We'll see, but I wouldn't pay that for him.
  4. Spidey, just a handful of games. Just a handful of games we need him for. I am hoping 10-12 at the absolute most.
  5. It's just that it is the second time it has happened in this thread, and a few months ago I got labeled in a thread for pages as a result of a post wherein I never said a bad word about the Bills.
  6. IB, we are going to hit the jack. freaking. pot this year! EDIT: franchise QB, FA, a full laod of picks in this year's draft and 70 or so million, when everything is said and done, for next year. Great time to be a Bills fan.
  7. Yes, a first year (actually 2nd with a huge arm) and a journeman (24 years old) WR. Yes. I don't want either player, especially Sammy at 16 million per. Do any of you still just plain like football, other than what the Bills are doing? I have no problems getting enjoyment out of watching Mahommes throw to Sammy in games that don't involve the Bills.
  8. I honestly believe this guy's body (namely his knee) only has 12-20 more games in it. ...which I, as a Bills fan, will gladly take as our rookie QB is groomed.
  9. Sorry, I forgot to mention that in my OT as I did also hear it as I was leaving the parking lot. Honestly, if they trade with us Giants fans truly should be thrilled. If I were in their position I would, even if they wanted to trade away a few of those picks for next year. 5 in the first 3 rounds this year as well as 5 in the first 3 rounds in next year's draft would be pretty impressive.
  10. Jay, I've been using gifs of this from the Lonely Island guys since yesterday afternoon!
  11. Great points, Dorq. However, can't they also prep the protection now and potentially get a QB either this year or next year?
  12. This has been the case for a bit, but even heading into work this morning from listening to both WGR and NFL Radio various NYG commentators and/or fans were commenting on how bad the OL was, but the conclusion really seemed to be that they should stick with getting a QB. ON GR the guy talked about not being "cute" when it comes to trading down, but how about being smart? For the love of all things football a trade with the Bills for the 2nd overall pick would give them a total of 7 of the first 66 guys taken in this year's draft. I know they wouldn't do this, but you could honestly replace your entire offensive line in one season and still get a quality RB to make a run for the last 2 or 3 of Eli's career. On NFL Radio, I believe, the caller was mentioning that of all the problems he thought the Giants had this year, Eli was not one of them, and that Flowers is a disaster. I have been getting anxious since last night that the Bills may not be able to move up to get one of the top 2 QBs. However, I just don't know how the Gmen, or even the Colts, pass up 4 guys in the top 65. This isn't a QB thread for the Bills, it's about the logic (or illogic) of other teams passing on what the Bills have to offer.
  13. Hindsight, guys, can you really blame Marrone supposedly for walking out of the war room and slamming the door after the draft of Sammy? I really can't. @Hapless Bills Fan @Kirby Jackson @26CornerBlitz
  14. Not worth 16 million...no, not even close. I never remember saying that it would. However, I was speaking more to Mahommes big arm and risk taking down field going along with Sammy's hands and speed. Guys, can we appreciate something from a football standpoint without it being a "woulda, coulda, shoulda" or ripping on a former Bill?
  15. After yesterday, Spidey, consider this option moot! go bills!
  16. Doc, you son of a gun, these are just plain easy up votes for you! love it!
  17. Just a reminder: 43,000,000, or there about, when Wood retires. so about 35 million after accounting for the draft.
  18. Mahommes to Sammy...man, that'll be something to see this year.
  19. 16 million per, on 3 years. Good for him, but that is a little rich.
  20. Guys, don’t forget that we get maybe 3 million more in cap space when wood finally retires. our dead money will be huge but it will be over this year.
  21. We could move 12, 42, and 65 and maybe something in next yea's draft for a QB in the top 5, plus we still have a 2nd and 3rd rounder this year. Guys...I am dizzy right now. EDIT: @thunderingsquid Jumpin-jiminey, thunderingsquid I forgot about our #22 pick!!
  22. Maybe 3 years, 150 million for Brees is going to happen! Look, the writing was on the wall last season, and even Dareus said so.
  23. Let's not forget about Wood. When he retires they do have about 5.6 million in dead cap, but they also get about 3 million in cap space.
  24. Thank you for ending the drought and for your winning record as QB. You've got a lot of weapons in Cleveland. Good luck in helping them turn things around.
  25. No-no, Nate. We just get really board looking for things to do in February.
