We May Need to Resign Ourselves to Allen at 5
dollars 2 donuts replied to Midwest1981's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No disrespect at all and it is a good analysis. However the only thing that comes to mind is Gilfoyle's response to seeing Jared's lip enhancement on this weekend's Silicon Valley. -
For a team that had OJ, and at a time that was much different, passing wise, it still does my heart a solid to see Fergy in the top 50. As of now he is 47th all time (29,817 yards), behind Randall Cunningham and just ahead of John Kitna. He is tied for 45th in TDs with 196. Sorry for the nostalgia trip, but since we are talking Bills QBs of the future I couldn't help but go to the deep past. EDIT (to include info from my post below): When he retired in 1990 he was 13th in yards and 15th in TDs.

bigger bust in first round

In that glorious 11-5 "Talking Proud" Dolphins streak ending division championship season of 1980 Gant caught 12 passes for 181 yards and 1 TD. ...he started 11 games and played in all 16. Mark Brammer started 5 games and had 26 receptions, for 283 and 4 TDs. -

Booker Moore, RB, Penn St., 1981. Sad story, but still, he is a must for this list. -
Indeed. Additionally, when Kelly came back to the NFL in 1986 it was still the indentured servitude days of the NFL...meaning he wasn't playing anywhere else, but Buffalo. Still, the Bills wanted to make him happy so not only did they sign him, not only did they pay him well, they made him the highest paid player in NFL history.

Am I the only one? I'll take any of the top 6 QBs
dollars 2 donuts replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wish the Bills knew. Seriously, you think back to the old days when John Butler knew what teams were going to do and I just wish the Bills could know how things were going to fall. I am also OK with the top 6. I would love it if the bills were OK with it and KNEW they could get a guy (and great if it is "their" guy) at 12, because getting our QB and keeping our orgasmucopia of picks would make this an all time great draft. ...but yes, as long as we get one of them I would be OK with that. -

What was the worst Bills’ trade of all time?

Along that same line how in the hell did the Sabres get a first rounder from nashville for Paul Gaustad?! -
Go on the record -do the Bills trade up?
dollars 2 donuts replied to sullim4's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was was a little offended by this thread, sullim. I don't like to be asked point blank questions. It takes me out of my safe space. ...I voted 4-11. Although let's be real, it is 4-10 as anyone whose anybody knows the dolphins are crazy. -

All boards are driven by the news and discussions that take place within them. That said TSW is not only a great bills board, it is just plain a great board. I actually come here first for bills news as opposed to sports websites as I would expect it to be here almost instantaneously due to the fine fellows who drive the TSW train. Thank you for all your efforts and the entertainment and insightfulness that keep me coming back, gentlemen. Thank you. -
Maybe I am just fatigued with this painstaking lead up to the draft. Maybe I am just annoyed that the jets WILL get one of the top 2 or 3 qbs in the draft. However, I have gone from being fine with not over paying to get to 3 to...well...i'd feel better if we got to three, even knowing we may have to, or could have, rolled with the Giants for 2. We'll soon see. I have enjoyed aspects of this year's draft, but I need the first round to be over and Thursday can't come soon enough. Go Bills. if regrets over not getting to 3 already well covered, Mods please feel free to lock.

Work schedule this upcoming week..
dollars 2 donuts replied to McBean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My wife saved me for Thursday night. My niece had reserved tickets a couple of weeks ago for her and her husband and her in laws for Avengers in the recliner seats at AMC and asked me if I wanted to go. I said yes and I was not thinking about the day (Thursday at 8 pm). Just before I ordered my ticket my wife said, "isn't that the night of the draft?" I married above me. In the midst of my Spring health kick so not a lot of food, but I am will be at home and raring to go at 5. Normally we are together watching our daughter who demands a lot of attention (which is cool by me!), but I think my wife will carry the load on Thursday. did I mention I married above me? -
Lance Zierlein compares Mayfield to Flutie.
dollars 2 donuts replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sean speaking the truth here. Flutie was like Saban, meaning his only real success in the league was here. chicago and New England were dreadful years and his brief time as SD's starter wasn't much better. -
Full first round mock
dollars 2 donuts replied to Victory Formation's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't impress upon this Board enough that I think the Dolphins are bat s**t crazy and that if you were to look at their draft board it would have only 10 words on it: "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy", written 10,000 times...and that should scare the hell out of anyone drafting behind them. The Phins are either going to trade up and grab the QB we are eyeing and have him hold for field goals for three years or they are going to draft Olaf Pilor because they heard good things about him on the Internet at www.theonion.com. -
I dont love Allen, but sexy draft Tatonka.

How long will you give our new QB?
dollars 2 donuts replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After 12 games in one season we will have a strong idea. After 24 games total I honestly think we will know the forever on a guy.
