  1. Juice, so much truth in what you said here I wish I could add an extra thumbs up.
  2. Sorry to be speaking out of school a bit on the OT, but didn't someone here also link to a stat that showed that Allen was far and away (maybe by as much as more than 50%) the QB that had the most yards passing through the air before the ball got to his receiver? I bring it up from the strained point (with little to back it up, mind you) that as the ball travels further through the air, there is likely a greater variable on what can happen, either with the coverage or even the receivers perception of the catch that has to be made, as well as the type of pass that needs to be thrown. For example, if I am standing next to oldmanfan, maybe 6-7 feet away, accuracy and precision go a little bit out the window as even if these measures are off, because as we toss the ball back and forth we can recover fairly easily given the limited variation on the equation of what can happen...I could be high, low, whatever on every single toss, but it will still be just a toss and there is little in between us that can change what is going on. As that distance grows I think things are a little more up in the air, no pun intended. I can have a higher completion percentage on shorter throws even if the throws are erratic assuming the above interpretation is sound, accuracy and precision be damned. My main point is even if this kid is 50-50, if the throw goes almost 10 yards I will take that as much on 3rd down as I would take someone who is 60-40, but the pass goes 6 yards and the receiver is stopped before the first down marker. Again, my apologies as it is slightly off topic, it's just this thread made me think of it.
  3. Thumbs up up from me, GL, because I think you on to something with that.
  4. Jauronimo i I laughing right now because I am actually thinking about your comment in the other thread last week...the animal reference, about something being cold blooded and another fact...dammit, I can't even totally remember, just that laughed for awhile.
  5. Just to add to the above, I hate the Miami Dolphins. When they were on...jeepers, I almost liked them, regardless of the way the show makes a team look (which is usually pretty good). Why is that something any organization wouldn't want? I know we are not eligible, but still.
  6. Red dog, I know this only goes up to 2014, but it does answer your questions.
  7. OK, OK, I regret going down this road. And officially, let this stand as my apology to the guys...I thought it was funny, but they were valid with their points (as all of you are) with your comments. (Oh, and dd, just because I regret it does not mean I am not laughing at your post!)
  8. Digging to me...but I actually dig it. Thank you WEO...it's actually a thoughtful and appreciated response and I get your point.
  9. I love the blase attitude from guys who have combined for more than 66,000 posts on a Bills message board, and who in the unlikely event that a documentary was made would probably tattoo the date it airs on your d***s...or maybe you'd do it just because your like tattoos.
  10. I don't understand why there has seemingly been a fear over at One Bills Drive, regardless of front office regimes, and even ownership, to do this.
  11. I assumed a little bit of common knowledge, especially on this Board. I hope this helps, too. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Kelly
  12. ...and its much too early to be a downer. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/look-jeff-glor-of-cbs-news-and-cnns-wolf-blitzer-cant-contain-their-bills-pride/
  13. I hear you, BF. However, hear me when I say that not ever great story in the world ends with a ring at the end. Rocky...didn't win the title in the first movie.
  14. Thank you, thank you...yes, I get it. You guys have a love affair with waxing poetic about the Saux, or the "U", and yes I know I am going back a few months with bringing this up, but this really was a thing. This really should be a 30 for 30, or something. What doesn't it have? The Drought. The unlikely heroes (Dalton, Boyd). The new coach and new regime. Would things be too late for the old veteran (Kyle)? The "touchdown". The once nationally mocked and reviled "Bills Mafia" shown to have tremendous heart. The foundations...what happened with Dalton and Boyd almost unheard of in pro sports as it relates specifically from one team's fans to another city (Houston, as nice as it was, doesn't count. That was a tragedy that had us all banding together)...show everyone the results of the donations. ...and The Reaction...all over WNY and Bills fandom everywhere. You mean to tell me you are going to have any problems interviewing Jeff Glor, Wolf Blitzer, Nick Bakay, Poncho Billa, Jim Kelly or anyone else about this? Be smart HBO and ESPN. You don't need to be a blood hound to smell this story and realize that many, even outside of Buffalo, would want to see this.
  15. Great read. I have never had any problem with King, even when he said stuff I didn't like. He always seems a straight shooter. That said, I also kept reading the article...should we have tried to make a move for Trent Brown, the SF RT? I know nothing about him.
  16. I tried to state this in the other thread. I wasn't trying to be cute and I wasn't trying to be funny. Throw all the intelligence aside, the good causes off the field, and the idea that he would challenge teams and administrations. it gets down to him being a U.S., grade "A" D***.
  17. I'm sorry guys, I just don't get all the "stupid" or "lucky" talk with the Jets in trading up. In what was well understood to be a QB wealthy draft (regardless of "putting our board together" bs), especially compared to next year's draft, they guaranteed themselves the 3rd best QB, no matter what. What is the difference between the 3rd and 4th best QB? in some drafts, Ben Rothlesberger and JP Losman.
  18. I think Star's 50 million probably puts him on the field. He was in the full rotation last year. I'm not saying he's great, but the coaching staff saw something in him.
  19. Itty-bitty, teeney-weenie, tiny-winey little hands. ...I really have no idea. Just felt like putting that rumor out there.
  20. The reality is I can give you a few billion reasons why there is no vetting taking place. I can also give you a few billion reasons why they have "cred". In answering your question a friend of my went to work for them back in the aughts. She had gone to school with Kim. After she got the job she told me how incredibly nice they were through the process and all the while she was telling me about them I didn't know who the hell she was talking about.
  21. Tell me someone didn't actually post that? Jeepers.
  22. I just don't think those who weren't around to see him play can properly appreciate how good of a rusher and receiver he really was. it's also not just the years he missed in the USFL, but the consistency to further hone his craft during those years.
  23. Like I said in the other thread, retire this tired dinosaur of the past, at least with respect to the NFL. Do you remember The Comeback? Do you remember Andre's touchdowns? Do you remember the cheer leads? Yeah...that's my point. ...and shame on Washington.
  24. We'll take you out for pizza and pop (or soda), along with some wings. ...and welcome to the sweetest little city this side of Lackawanna.
