  1. Yeah, I believe there is a little difference between ownership interest and controlling interest. If he had one half of one percent I doubt there was an control or voting associated with it...not that it would make that much of a difference at that level of ownership, anyways.
  2. I can read about it, but I don't have to hear about it. ? Bocce-Balls, so these are the new emojis/emoticons! I couldn't see them when posting on my ipad.
  3. Horsey sauce is what we get when God smiles down us. Again, I think they are fine with not making a dime or even losing $ slightly, while remaining competitive...as long as they stay SUPER RICH, which they can do by not investing in a new stadium.
  4. I'm not kidding, I sometimes think of it, too. However, I just love that movie and Kim is an attractive female owner so...it just sort of goes together. Similarities end there.
  5. People never want to hear about how the sausage is made, and we never do around here because of how smoothly things run without realizing the effort that a number of you put into this place. I'll never tire of saying it...thank you.
  6. Good point. $500 mill could give us a sweet ride. Not everything that everyone wants, mind you, but still a nice rig. However, you have to also think of the expense of road access.
  7. I know I may be in the minority here, a new stadium would be cool, but I am fine with keeping the stadium, keeping ticket prices within reach and not out of range for me to consider, and having owners that are super rich and can make lucrative moves that help the team on the field instead of being pauper's like Sullivan was in NE, or hearing Ralph say he had to sell a painting to be able to sign players in free agency (which I didn't believe, but still, didn't like hearing it).
  8. Someone told me awhile back that he had half a percent. If so his cut would have been about $7 million at the time of the sale.
  9. Truer words may have been spoken before...but I just can't think of them right now. so let's just go with every word you said. The justifications made over the years for trading away what even then seemed like a future hall of famer have been mind boggling.
  10. @MrEpsYtown @The Wiz @elroy16 @SouthNYfan Was reading TSW on my iPad awhile back, but on the big screen tv in the living room I had a Bills twitch game on. Rarely do players play as the Bills and it gives me a Bills experience similar to game day...meaning a game I can't control. Anyways, my wife came in and asked, "Didn't you already see this game?", thinking it was one of the real Bills games I Dvr'd. Look, it is not so life like when you hold it up to direct scrutiny, but in passing Madden is a nice pass time, especially if you are a fan. Edit: btw, the game was especially pleasurable as The Bills were up on the Patriots 28-17 at the time I was watching. Let's just call it my version of fantasy football.
  11. Always will thumbs up a Madden thread.
  12. Tannehil being out the whole year and San Diego getting lost early in the season.
  13. With some leak like this occurring I just think the demand to be in attendance at this event is just going to grow considerably.
  14. Yes, WMD, and wasn't there some idiot out there who said either we could go 2-14 or that there was a chance (or a different guy said it) the Bills could go 0-16? wish I remembered who these mental giants were.
  15. That's why they call it faith. Yep, the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things unseen. Regardless of any religion, it is the reason why a team that doesn't warship at the almighty passing game (to the utter consternation and criticism of NFL insiders and talking heads alike) and yet confoundingly gets into the playoffs.
  16. My bad, especially as I always knew this as a kid...38-38, including the playoffs.
  17. Finished with a winning record. 37-36. heartbraking to me as a youngling seeing them get to 4-2 in the '82 strike shortened year, wherein 5-4 virtually guaranteed you a playoff spot in the only 8 team per conference playoff year in league history...and they lost their last three games and finished 4-5.
  18. I may have mentioned it somewhere in this thread, and sorry if someone has since mentioned it, but doesn't it seem like that McCarron locks in on his targets early. Jeepers, on one of those (forgive me, haven't watched in a bit, but remember it) i think he was staring at his receiver even before the ball was snapped.
  19. Tom Brady does the dishes in his house. ...the plastic ones, after a bar-b-que. ...and Giselle works the grille.
  20. I remember David Humm as a Buffalo Bill. AHowever, knew nothing about his Raiders life and what he meant to them, even though his stats are e trembly limited. The only three TDs of his career came in his first season. he passed away on March 27th due to complications from ms. http://www.raiders.com/media-vault/videos/Behind_The_Scenes_Raiders_Visit_EA_Sports/e9e898e3-7f39-4f61-8c60-b5d74b0b9e39 Forgive the above, as I have tried twice and can't link to the proper video. However, it is on the scroll below in the link that you can click.
  21. We're the details ever released of what Matt Kofler died from? a shame, he was only 49.
  22. Very well said and a number of great points. I bow to you, Sir. ...I am at the office right now and the bowing is a little awkward...people are talking. I'm going to stop now, but you get the idea.
  23. Oldman, we also really have to start wrapping our heads around what this regime is going to be asking this kid to do. Which I believe is: make the mid rang throws (10-20 yards), be able to move while making those throws, but hold your horses a bit as we are still primarily a running teams so even given that big arm don't expect to do it more than 30 times a game. Allen may only throw 30 times a game, and he likely still may only complete 17 of those passes (56.6%). The hope is those passes do more, travel farther and keep the chains going up field along with our running game. I think even a steady diet of 7.5-8 yards per attempt (225-240 yards per game) helps this anemic passing game out a great deal.
  24. @Magox I love the term "phantom pressure". It is so descriptive and so accurate. Yes, Mag, that is definitely a real thing with this young man. Great post, btw.
  25. Agreed. I think in June or July we see this team add either a WR or OL veteran using the 5-6 million in cap space (outside of the believed 5-6 in reserve the want to keep and their rookie signing dollars). ...or a LB.
