  1. We have been 3-13 just once in the last 32 years. Does anyone really think THIS is the team that is going to equal that mark?
  2. What's worse, you guys, or rather what is BS is if the Bills finish 6-10 or 7-9 and we get a "see, I told you they'd be bad.". No you didn't as the team won either 100% or 133% more games than you said they were going to win.
  3. Nuch, buddy, that first Super Bowl...man, I am never going to forget being there as long as I live.
  4. Let me translate: "Anything that you here coming out of our mouths having to do with the importance of defense, or other facets of football don't mean diddly. Your entire worth in our eyes comes down to who your quarterback is and how many TDs and yards he is going to throw. Everything else is meaningless to us." I think we are a 5-11 to 7-9 team at best. However, the castigating of this team over that position (which I would like it to be better, too) and the idea that everything depends upon it is silly. EDIT: Picking 2nd overall, though, WOULD be pretty sweet.
  5. Nuch, I was on the wide right side, but at the opposite end of the stadium. I briefly thought it was good and that the refs were stepping forward to throw their arms up.
  6. BP, you made it simple and you created a new and easy moniker to remember. Toughest SOB ever...not much to say beyond that. somebody: "You see Jim Kelly last night?" "Oh, you mean the toughest SOB ever...I certainly did...we all did"
  7. I don't disagree with this, however, I'd love to see how some of these young offensive linemen turnout in a few years, likely somewhere around this League. Btw, why do I get this feeling that the coaches and the front office may have a modicum of optimism about this line?
  8. I'm stupid. I thought this meant he is "...already there.", as in he is getting everything down and understanding it.
  9. @THE SLAMMER Ya see, The Slammer knows. The Number 1 selling poster of all time.
  10. Interesting fact. I did not know this. Thank you.
  11. Stuvian, would you consider selling your phone with the tickets?
  12. Has no one brought up Farrah Fawcett's 1977 red one piece bathing suit poster?
  13. This is all the result of the money the ncaa makes on the backs of these student athletes. Why not make the ncaa a not for profit, or better yet change their by-laws to have them divest themselves of all but a small bit of profits with the rest to go back to education and schools that need it or even charities that help students or student athletes?
  14. I wanted to bump this thread. I was worried about it getting lost in the minutia of all the other pre-camp threads going on.
  15. That said, I originally wanted to ask why when I read your post. The jeweler is apparently the one with the most to lose, as the items are his, expensive and no one has paid him for them. Don't get me wrong, Doc, as this is an unlikely move by probably a lot of the jewelers that we may know, but this is a different world.
  16. Ya know what, points to you, Soda. I didn't think of that.
  17. The center position can frequently be the most significant on the offensive line. They are responsible for assignments, blitz pickups, quarterback communication, and much more. The battle for the starting center job in 2018 is between recently acquired Russell Bodine, and familiar face, Ryan Groy. Groy originally signed with the Bills in 2015, but he is not quite used to challenging for the starting role; as Eric Wood was a perennial starter in Buffalo. “It’s just part of being in the NFL,” said Groy. “Guys leave and guys come in. This is my fifth year in the NFL. I am kind of used to the transition.” Groy’s experience with the Bills certainly works to his benefit, and he realizes the importance of communication at the position. “The thing when you build chemistry is to have the ability to communicate and understand what you’re looking for on the field,” he said. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/camp-countdown-no-11-who-will-be-the-starting-center I would guess Bodine IF AJ is the starter. Groy at LG Slammer, I do get you on this. However, and forgive me for not having a link, but it is my understanding that Groy has not played a single snap at Guard this offseason. Yes, he is listed as a back up and could probably do it, additionally I thought of him as well as a starting Guard, but they haven't played him there this year. Sal may have mentioned it on WGR.
  18. Ok...well...this makes things a little bit better. thank you Slammer!
  19. ??....*sigh*..."this world". I don't understand it. I don't live in it. ...and I am glad I really never have to deal with it other than posts about it at TSW. This is just craziness and a crazy life style for all parties involved.
  20. I thought he was, and I liked him quite a bit. I remember he was doing a live broadcast at a long since defunct restaurant at the Galleria (Kahunaville maybe?) and during a break I couldn't help but go over to him and tell him what a great job I thought he was doing. He was very appreciative and gracious.
  21. How "old" of a guy were you back then, Geo?
  22. BP12, I'm not lying to you...I called two friends. I was in a parking lot so little risk of an accident, but on the road...well, I was laughing quite a bit. Told my wife about it, too. Seemed like just a normal call at the start, and the guy was just being a little too honest with his comments.
  23. I'll tell ya, if this is leading to the way it appears to be leading, that is that Shady likely didn't have anything materially to do with this, I still wouldn't put it past the NFL to put him on the exempt list for some reason, which would piss the hell out of me. So even if this matter generally "wraps up" over the next few days I'll still be waiting to see what th NFL decides. Honestly, at times I hate this League, from the League offices, to the owners, to the rules right down to the players. I am a victim of my love of football, not of my love of the NFL.
  24. Note: the below is a purely hypothetical conversation between HBF and Cordon and this post makes no inference that Hap has any knowledge of what took place earlier this week or the possible reasoning or actions between the parties. This poster shall not be liable for any board members on page 165 that state, "Ya know Hapless Bills Fan knows what went down with all of this..he knows a little TOO much...you know what I'm saying?" Cordon: "pssst...btw, Hapless BF, I really do know that the jewelry isn't mine, but between you and me if I just keep it long enough people will stop bugging me for it...so, I'll have that. The furniture isn't mine either, but what the hell, I'm here and I am sitting on it...in my house that I have rights to because Shady Boo-boo gave it to me and said we were getting married...No lie, he just said it not too long ago...if you got a problem with that take it up with my lawyer."
