  1. Btw, crazy to think that 6 of the first 8 teams we play had a winning record last year, and the other two could have had a winning record if they had their starting qbs. in short, 3-5 would be something, all things considered.
  2. "77" was all I needed to see. I knew exactly what this was about. I was there. Unforgettable.
  3. I used to try and draw the Stallions logo as a kid. I loved it, and them, so much.
  4. Come on, man. This is just plain the post of the day. Amusing is good. Funny is better. I laughed out loud. EDIT: Sorry, the post of yesterday. I've been busy.
  5. eball...you are awesome. You are sarcastic, but you are awesome.
  6. OK, some of the prognosticators can choke on their 0-8 starts and their 2-14 or 3-13 season for the Bills. I also have been on the record as saying I would love them to have a great season but if they end up being between 5-11 to 7-9 I would not be too upset as I believe we are really into the second year of a three year rebuild. That said, what are you thinking if they are 3-5 at mid season? Let me add regardless of who is at QB. If they can find a way to, let's say beat Baltimore, Tennessee and the Colts (I know, a tall order as two of those are on the road), then I don't think it is insane to give up hope on a 9-7 season. Playoffs? Sorry, unlikely this year as I think the AFC this year may yield a 10-6 record for the sixth position in the playoffs, but at least they can stay in the hunt. Look, I know it is hard to sweep teams in your division, but sweep the Jets and Phins, and then add possible wins against Chicago and Detroit (teams I respect, but still the best shots we have), and you get yourself to 6 wins, with losses against the Jags and Pats. If we don't finish 9-7, if it is more like 8-8 or 7-9 I would still deem the season reasonably acceptable given the second year of a rebuild. If they are 2-6 with AJ or Nate then I agree with others along the line of you start to think about putting Allen in, if you reasonably think he can be as good as the guys who got you to 2-6. What say you?
  7. Brother, you said it there. Crazy how expensive life is.
  8. The last time we started 0-8, we finished 4-4, including a game that scared the living pis************* out of Steelers' fans when one dropped pass in the end zone at Pittsburgh (Stevie?) at the end was the only thing that kept us from finishing 5-3.
  9. OK, OK..."His and his wife Lauren."
  10. Maj, I can't believe I am typing this, but I am with Julio on this. This isn't the old days of contracts "sign and we will see you at the end", especially when the player's are as talented as Julio. It's just the way it is and in this case...I get it.
  11. He is due $12.9 million this year, including his bonus. He has made about $47 million in the first three, giving him close to the average of what is going on now for top WR. However, with this year's 12.9, it starts to pale in comparison. Honestly, I bet he is looking for something that locks him into at least 16 million per (or more), with another 30-32 (or more) million guaranteed.
  12. I respect your opinion, aristocrat. However, I feel that if they can't move the ball they will be 2-6. If they are dreadful all year, they'll finish at 5-11. That is a lousy record, but not necessarily the bottom falling out as 3-13 implies, even though it is just two games difference. The optimist in me would like to see them go no less than 7-9.
  13. I know, this is still such BS. This process was briefly streamlined for a bit due to the adjustment in rookie contracts. Now, we are still looking at a bunch of guys around the league not signed days before camp. Maybe they should just lock in the money in the future and be done with it. How long after the draft was it before Dahlin became a Buffalo Sabre? A week or two?
  14. Pegulas tied for 8th, but still only the third richest owner in our 4 team division.
  15. Dab, honestly asking...is it a fact that they commit more crimes or could it just be they are arrested by police more often? There's a difference. ...and others may, but I am not going to label you a racist.
  16. Man-o-man, cynical, they sure fooled me!
  17. When you're looking to weed out from a list of champions, yes. I disagree when it almost comes down to, in this instance: worst or questionable QB = worst team. Indy is only a slight anomaly in this. They have Luck, but he is a question mark until they see how he comes back...but the team is generally bad at everything. On paper the Bills appear to have a solid defense a year after making the playoffs (wherein they had the League's best playoff defense), but that gets them to being the 2nd worst team overall in the NFL, regardless of coaching, and a 3-13 finish for only the second time since Reagan's 2nd term? ...I'm not buying it and he shouldn't be selling it. I will reiterate, no way am I saying playoff runn. Unlikely on a winning record, too. 3-13? Preposterous.
  18. If (IF) we go 2-4 in our division this year does anyone really see us going 1-9 against the rest of the NFL? I believe we are 10-10 the last 2 years.
  19. We have been 3-13 just once in the last 32 years. Does anyone really think THIS is the team that is going to equal that mark?
  20. What's worse, you guys, or rather what is BS is if the Bills finish 6-10 or 7-9 and we get a "see, I told you they'd be bad.". No you didn't as the team won either 100% or 133% more games than you said they were going to win.
  21. Nuch, buddy, that first Super Bowl...man, I am never going to forget being there as long as I live.
  22. Let me translate: "Anything that you here coming out of our mouths having to do with the importance of defense, or other facets of football don't mean diddly. Your entire worth in our eyes comes down to who your quarterback is and how many TDs and yards he is going to throw. Everything else is meaningless to us." I think we are a 5-11 to 7-9 team at best. However, the castigating of this team over that position (which I would like it to be better, too) and the idea that everything depends upon it is silly. EDIT: Picking 2nd overall, though, WOULD be pretty sweet.
  23. Nuch, I was on the wide right side, but at the opposite end of the stadium. I briefly thought it was good and that the refs were stepping forward to throw their arms up.
  24. BP, you made it simple and you created a new and easy moniker to remember. Toughest SOB ever...not much to say beyond that. somebody: "You see Jim Kelly last night?" "Oh, you mean the toughest SOB ever...I certainly did...we all did"
  25. I don't disagree with this, however, I'd love to see how some of these young offensive linemen turnout in a few years, likely somewhere around this League. Btw, why do I get this feeling that the coaches and the front office may have a modicum of optimism about this line?
