  1. Too bad. if Ralph were still alive Harry and Jordan could be nicknamed “Wilson’s Phillips”.
  2. It really was Watkins, but I feel more comfortable saying Stevie, due to the numbers and lockdown he had on it. @BigDingus great post, BD.
  3. PP I love where your head is at, but Rodgers is so damn good (makes me almost wish we hadn’t traded up and got JP in 04 so we could have drafted Rodgers in our spot in 05...almost ) and he is a first ballot hall of Famer.
  4. Sean he has battled cancer twice, I believe, and although he keeps himself in great shape I bet he can’t even throw the ball more than 20 yards. Plus even with new rule changes he’s sure to crumble under some of the bigger pass rushers in the league, needless to say he is slower than...oh, I see what you did there.
  5. I am likely in the minority here but I think this is fine and I think people have to just deal with the fact that this is the way it is in football in 2018 and going forward. Sal, when he was subbing last week for tasker, said what has been said in a lotta places: kids are not playing football any more/ moms aren’t letting their kids play football anymore and the sport is at real risk for going away at some point in the future. This isn’t just about sacking the qb, but all these rule changes to help make the game safer. The players will ALWAYS eventually adapt and If I may paraphrase something we say around here when it comes to a particular local newspaper or radio station, if you don’t like what the game is turning into with these rules, then stop watching. Even though some players are gripping, too, doesn’t even remotely make them right. It’s time for some dinosaurs to become extinct to ensure the whole game doesn’t go that way in the future. EDIT: and I know the main thing some of you are concerned over is the consistency issue, but this rule is new and it takes a little time...for it to get better, not necessarily perfect because they still don’t even seem to get holding right all the time.
  6. Is there any chance that he could have meant that Phillip Gaines more than held his own on the other side of the sideline?
  7. You’ll forgive me for not upvoting you for this tidbit, Sir.
  8. Honestly, it’s depressing.
  9. It is so dangerous it isn't even worth discussing. One man's Manning becomes another man's Ryan Leaf. Who the hell wants to take that chance when you still get a great QB for approximately a decade? Does anyone really think the Saints hate that Brees has been their QB in the decade since their Super Bowl?
  10. Man...Yolo, buddy, if they clear waivers which, and I know this sounds crazy, they might not. Then watch the Bills cut Matthews during the middle of the season. They wanted those two guys on this team for a reason. I liked Kerley, but I get why they cut him. Matthews better darn well be a someone who can make something happen on a level better than your current number 2 (not saying much), but for you get rid of potential future benefits.
  11. Tangential to this: what does everyone think of Carr? Was that a mistake by the Raiders or is he just a victim of what's going on right now with that team? That's what scares me a bit. A QB who looks great, you give him the bucks and then he turns out not to be what you would consider a franchise QB.
  12. I honestly don't know if anyone has asked this question because I haven't read through this thread, but who does he replace? If you assume a WR, just for argument sake, do you want to give up on Foster and his speed right now? Ray-Ray? We know they love Holmes on ST, and they are not letting go of KB and ZJ. I want better receivers, too, but it starts to get tricky when the talent level comes close to looking parallel.
  13. Forgive my profanity but as they say on Letterkenny F*** EVERY duck, as I knew it was bad, but I didn't know it was that bad. The high water mark of his time here being the 10-15 seconds in the Patriots game when it looked for sure that the TD you referenced above in the Patriots game was going to be given to him. That was a great catch.
  14. I see see what you did there, JH, you ole timer!
  15. "Notice that there are 32 points of articulation, and how Josh's cleats are made of real leather. Additionally, you can not only remove Josh's helmet, but his head as well to put on an Allen "celebratory" head after touchdowns."
  16. Jay, Jay, Jay...I am not used to seeing you aggro. I was just kidding. Further, if I offended you, I apologize, brother. You also didn't really address the part where I said it was awesome. This also just in, I knew exactly what you knew for which I was just making fun.
  17. It is so awesome that you know that, seriously. It is so pathetic that you know that, seriously.
  18. I am glad he got it. He deserved it. On top of that, as some of you have referenced Hughes, his 20 QB pressures so far this season is crazy. I think he is about to turn the corner in the sense that he is really going to start to get to the QB. I see him getting double digits this year.
  19. Oh come on, you think it’s just naturally easy to fumble in the shadow of the other teams goal posts late in a game?
  20. And yet they are fine with staying pat with every WR on this team. nobody better, anywhere, than what they have...
  21. Sometimes when a ball is throw to him and he puts both hands on it he catches it...a couple of times he even did it when he was wide open. Man, it is just such a nice change and so cool to watch. @Real McCoy Seriously, RM, isn't it truly ridiculous on what our guys don't catch? One guy, man, please...please can we come up with one guy who is just plain darn good at coming down with the ball? I am honestly getting to the point of being sick of our "aw shucks there goes another one" WR group.
  22. Plus, Gordio, I don't think he can leap over anybody, other than a smurf...I believe they are 3 apples tall according to my niece.
  23. Please sign SOMEBODY that doesn't treat the ball like it's door-to-door replacement window salesman.
  24. Promo, even in the first half I couldn't believe some of the throws he made. Watching from over his shoulder from the skycam on some plays I couldn't help but wonder how does even see the guy being open? You're right. He doesn't sometimes. He trusted his guys. Very tangentially, what do you think is going on in the back of Allen's mind when his "Number 1" receiver can't catch balls either when he is being contested by a puny DB or is wide open?
  25. @ShadyBillsFan Maybe you think that a quality win over a super bowl contender on the road would put us ahead of the 0-3 Texans, but you'd be... you'd be... ...wait, why are we behind the Texans on this numb skull's list?
