Yeah, Royale, it was really weird due to not only what I heard from fans here, but what was said earlier in the fall on the radio made it seem like it was a contract year for Jerry. I went over to spotrac this morning and was surprised to see he has another year left on his deal. -

Oh man...wow. EDIT: @HOUSE ...and I know you know this, HOUSE, but just to be clear to the others the "wow" is how unbelievably well this trade has worked out for us...even to this day. Three tackles, man...who drafted Sheppard, anyways?! -

Additionally, he is in our cap next year. We don't have to spend FA dollars just to keep or replace him for one more season. -
Is this a playoff team with Tyrod?

2019 Draft Big Board

Jeepers, Mango, I thought that, too. I really did. -
You are a fan, ukbuffalo. These are great choices and you probably can't go wrong with either. If you are going on play right now...probably Milano. If you are thinking long term...Edmunds or Milano. Tremaine may pass Milano very soon, but I just wonder if the team is going to be committed to keep him here in the long run.

I should be coaching somewhere. I know lots of stuff about football and make great points about what plays teams should be calling before they snap the ball. I am a channel clicker, though. -
I don't think they can win the Super Bowl with even Chargers or the Texans in the mix. I am not trying to denigrate your response, UJ, I just really think that although they are winning often, like the Patriots, they are going on fumes. I think they are very beatable when push comes to shove time. Case in point last year, J'Ville had no business doing what they did to them in the post season, in Pittsburgh.

Well said, May Day. Agree with most everything. However, I have this feeling that if they lose at Pittsburgh in a few weeks that maybe 12-4 may not be good enough..Normal it should be but I bet there is an outside chance of Pitt going 12-3-1, or a potential tie-break with Houston at 12-4. If I am wrong then I hope they lose at least one more to be at 11-5. I think no first round bye, but a potential strong playoff showing (loss in Championship game?) could push Brady, either way. Is it a good way to go out given where him and the team are? or Is it enough success for him to give it one more go and he wants to at least go out with another super bowl appearance? Unfortunately I don't think it works out for him if he sticks around for next year. I seriously see the possibility of a 10 win, or even 9 win season and maybe making the playoffs but with an easy and early out. That would not be a "success" for him. It would be actually watching him get old before our eyes. I know I am biased as a Bills fan, but he has been so good for so long that he should go out relatively as he has been for the last 15 years...on top.

UB is a three point dog tonight. you, Vegas. -
That is the best thing for the Pats, now. The thing is they should have done the best thing for the Pats before...let Billy trade Brady to get some pretty decent value for him last year and prep Jimmy Garops to take over and lead this year. Seriously, regardless of their super bowl appearance that was a big mistake on Kraft's part...stopping Belichek. EDIT: they trusted him enough to do it with Bledsoe and look at how that worked out. He did it with Bernie in Cleveland, too. They should have trusted him with cutting the cord on Brady. No matter how much Billy likes his best dog he has no problem taking it out back behind the woodshed and shooting it in the head.

Bills Sign WR Deonte Thompson to a 1-Year Deal

honestly, Juice, about 1/3 of us were disappointed when we didn't retain him, and the same 1/3 wanted him signed when he came available. However, yes, someone didn't actually bring it up very recently. -

What the hell is going on?! It's like I am fired up about this team, right now, for the rest of the season. I don't think they stand a chance at making the playoffs, but with all the moves lately, the win on Sunday and an attractive, homeward bound heavy schedule the second half of the season I am dying to see this team win some games. Check List Going Forward: 1. Give Allen a ton of snaps. 2. Get to at least 8-8 3. Keep the Defense at number 1 4. Draft 10 guys 5. Sign free agents with a chunk of that 80+ million Dollars 6. Watch Tom Brady turn 42 going into next season. -

Finally one of my prayers (lesser ones, mind you ) is answered. Is he great? No Does he work hard, fit The Process and give you everything he has? Yes Does it show-up on the field? IT DOES A WHOLE HELL OF OF A LOT MORE THAN IT DOES WITH BENJAMIN! -
CB, it's a far cry from: 1. Someone like Peterman having to tell Benjamin before the snap where to line up (which has happened on more than one occasion). 2. Someone like Benjamin not knowing how to block...or even almost any of them (don't get me started). Sorry for detouring into something that is bugging me.

teef, it really has been interesting to watch Rochester just plain grow the way it has, even supplanting Buffalo in some areas, both living standard wise and from an economic development standpoint. Even though, Buffalo has been growing recently, too.
