You know who I would have liked?
Getting Damien Harris back.
I know he wasn't hurt this weekend and I know he wasn't coming back for the Bengals, but my hope was we wouldn't be without him during the entirety of gauntlet stretch coming up.

My setup is obviously about catching Miami or I wouldn’t have posted the Miami part of it. However, yeah if we finish at 10-7 and split with Philly and Dallas (let’s say) that means we are 6-6 in the conference. I really don’t think it is impossible for 3 other teams to be at least 10-7.
We have the entirety of the central and annoyingly, possibly even the Jets with Wilson and QB, which I believe is one of the signs of the apocalypse.
Btw, this administrations next playoff win on the road will be their first playoff win in the road.

10-7 might make the wild card (also could miss on a tie breaker). So we have 4 losses left we can take. Here is our remaining schedule:
Tampa - Thursday Night Football is weird and sloppy. Tampa is better than the Pats and the Giants.
@ Cinci - Bengals had our number last year, they haven't played great so far
Denver - *Should* be a comfortable win
Jets - Already beat us once. Jets D has Allen's number.
@ Philly - 5-1 and Super Bowl team
@ KC - 5-1 and Super Bowl winners
Dallas - 4-2 team, very tough defense
@ Chargers - West coast road trips are rough, team has similar talent to Bills
Pats - Well, we just lost to them, so we can probably lose to them again
@ Miami - 5-1 team, we were able to beat them once (with a fully healthy defense though)Games we should definitely win:

Games that are toss ups:
- Cinci- Chargers
- Jets

Games where the other team should be favored:- Philly

I don’t think Dallas will be favored especially here in Buffalo. They are almost as dicey as us at times.
a big one…Cincy. We can still pull things out, but really need to rack up some afc wins and we have to pull the upset in Ohio.
Be 8-3 going in to the more difficult window, split those games, beat NE and be 11-5 headed to Florida.
Will Miami be no better than 12-4? Let’s hope so.
If we head there 10-6…hmm…boy.

Next year is the last year, PayDay. It is not ideal if he doesn't come around, but he is still a guy they have to keep an eye and and it is fairly painless to get rid of him after year 3.

Jeremy made a good point, there are already professional flag football players on highly competitive leagues. They are better suited than some nfl guys to play that sport. I coached it with my sons for years along with youth football. The tactics are very different.
Besides it’s disrespectful to the flag guys to just discard them for the nfl guys.
I might be in the minority, but although I’d never substitute real football for flag, it is fun to play, coach and watch. There’s a lot of strategy in coaching flag. It’s very different than tackle ball. The similarity though is it’s a lot like chess. You keep trying to outthink you’re opposing coach and deploy you’re resources to keep opening holes.
Guns, I agree and no lie I am down with not only flag football, but Olympic flag football.
Huds knows my one and only angle was to please him comedically with my response.
Hell, I will watch almost anything if it is competitive and played by people who know what they are doing.
Do a search for videos of pro dart tournaments. Holy mackerel it’s nuts. Good stuff.
And yeah, it is very different and I am not sure how much nfl guys actually add, if anything.

Could still state he is one of the future coaches with a winning record against him, counting out those that have played him nay a couple of times.

Sweep the Pats this season and McD becomes the first and only coach in NFL history to have a winning record against BB in 10 or more games (8-7).
Josh is already 6-5* against him in starts.
(* 6-4 in games he has started and finished)

BTW, Robert Woods is a really good example of a good to actually great #2. Almost never the #1, but just extremely dependable and trustworthy.
I loved him here as the 2 even when our offense was sputtering.

Sometimes Josh trusts throwing to others almost to a fault. On top of that if he only trusted DIggs then Diggs honestly would have 10 or so grabs every game.
A) isn't all Dorsey, because Josh probably (maybe?) needs to see things a little better, but some of that is up to Dorsey to help him and his receivers.

He did have one really good year when it is arguable he played like a #1 with us. The other three it just is not.

Generally speaking if you want to get two #1s, the way to do it is to suck and get a nice high draft pick when you've already got one #1 on your team. There are certainly exceptions, but overall that's the way to go about it. Most true #1s are high draft picks.
Now, name a team with two #1s who have won a Super Bowl in the last few years.
The 2022 Chiefs? Nope.
The 2021 Rams? Nope.
The 2020 Bucs? Nope.
The 2019 Chiefs? Nope. Hill missed a lot of games and racked up 860 and was still far better than their #2 WR, Sammy W.
The 2006 Colts, definitely. Where is another team since then?
What you more often see is a really excellent QB making up for not having two #1s by spreading it around, and including TEs and RBs and #2s and #3s.

I said he was a future Hall of Famer.
More specifically, even as you stated, he was a #2. Yes. And that is what we are looking for.

Here's the thing, as well, if someone came to me if I were the GM and said, "Would you trade Allen for Mahomes, straight up?" I would honestly say "No" and that would be for various reasons.
However, I would immediately follow it up with (and I love, Josh) "Give me Mahomes and Andy Reid and I will sign the paperwork right now."

The only way that makes sense in today's world to do that is via drafting a WR and having rookie wage scale for 4 years and then letting them go when they reach year 5(if they aren't a #1 pick that has a 5th year option), or possibly picking up a 5th year option.
Bills will need to probably pick one in the first round next year if they want someone who legitimately can fill that role and might have to move up to do so. Or trade for one again, but that's unlikely since they are already paying Diggs big money...Eagles were able to do it since they had Devonta Smith on a rookie deal and had no big $ allocated to WR at the time. Same with Dolphins trading for Hill while Waddle was on a rookie deal.
Cincy has it because Burrow got hurt and they lucked out for a year and were able to draft 3rd and get Chase after having Higgins. However, they already have let Higgins people know they have no plans to resign him so he will be leaving after this year.
The only teams with 2 high paid WR's are the Chargers(how's that look now that Williams is out for the year?) and the Bucs with Evans and Godwin...and they aren't great either.

Me...I'd like to be in the 10%. I don't want my team to be the standard. I want them to be the exception, or at least see what the air is like over there to judge and not potentially waste a generational talent at QB.
You see I lived through a time that was pretty successful with this team when there were two future Hall of Famers at WR. Those Bills apologize to you, wholeheartedly, for not being standard.

I would like to outscore the living hell out of them, which in my book is putting the foot down on the freaking pedal and not even looking back to see what is going on until we've dropped 49 on them.
...but that is just me. I'm all about the speed and the beat down.
I know that is not everyone's cup of tea as many of you around here are, "oh nooo, we gotta balance and be measured and we need to see the spread sheet where everybody gets the ball and we yada-yada-yada."
To each their own, and God bless you all, but I say let Allen be Allen and actually...I know I know, don't get upset...maybe we impose our will on them.
