I'll take a shot at the 2019 offense FA's
dollars 2 donuts replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is anyone of us not leaning forward in our chairs and getting excited over the possibility of signing Paridis? Do a number of other moves, but this is one of those that appears to be a MUST to me...and crushing if the Jets get him. Sorry, don't know who the Jets current starting C is. EDIT: I want to sign a C or draft/sign a T that I don't ever have to think about again until there contract is over. I know many of you want a G, too. However, I don't want to appear too greedy and jinx my first two options. -
Kyle Williams: Officially Retires
dollars 2 donuts replied to Clemfield2622's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
According to Spotrac by the time everything is all said and done this Sunday Kyle will have made $57,228,000 in his career. I easily trust he is someone who has managed his money wisely. Good luck in anything that you do in the future, Kyle, but should you decide to never work again...good for you, brother! -
Has the light finally gone on for Zay Jones?
dollars 2 donuts replied to KOKO NFL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman, and others, honestly...and maybe it is my fault. Something is getting lost in translation that is making people think I like Zay better than Woods and that we are better off. Please don't interpret it that way, especially when I come right out and say Woods is better. For what Zay is and what he has been able to produce, not what he has failed to produce in getting open or dropped passes, I am good with where he is. Do I have to bring up Hardy, Tuttle or Franklin as year 2 comparisons? I hope not. I would have taken Woods for 4 years at 8 million per...hindsight, 4 years at 10 million would have been a steal. -

He better start getting separation this offseason, Corner...man, we don't need another hole. Lord have mercy our receivers are terrible. Like that thread from the other day, it is annoying seeing average receiving groups making great catches, to a man. -

I don't necessarily disagree with you, Corner...mater of fact you are probably spot on. ..and, as mentioned, Robert Woods is better. I am just still not unhappy with Zay's progress as what I believe to be a true number 2, which is likely what he was drafted to do. Woods had annoying drops, too. No where close to the umber that Zay had..but I know that you know that he had them. -

Zay needs one more reception for 14 yards to be at Robert Woods' career average in Buffalo. Woods is 50.75 receptions, for 612 or so yards, and 3 tds per year. Zay is currently at 50, for 599 and 5 TDs. Of course Woods is better. However, Zay was always penned in as a number 2, and these numbers in his second year are fine. He still has to grow some, but having this kid be behind our eventual number 1 and getting 56-64 grabs for 6-7 tds may be enough for a buffalo number 2. -

My sentiments exactly. My God, the flag is red, white and blue and has a buffalo on it. Hollywood couldn’t write a better script. -
What is a high ceiling player in the NFL?

Many true statements in your post, CB, and on top of that the kid's team imploded and he is still having an amazing season. -

Macaffery (spelling, sorry) in Carolina really comes to mind as a high ceiling player. Great coming in, but what a year he is having in 2018. -
Hey, Ry, I just over on the other thread (should have posted here) that Spotrac has us virtually at $100 million in cap space ($99,686,374 to be exact) if we let Clay and Shady go. Not 100% sold on moving both considering money isn't a factor, we have so much space, and I want like to see what a better line does...but still...it's more than just a thought.
-
Just FYI: Sorry, I can't get the image here to move over to here. $99,686,374 is the Cap Space at Spotrac if Shady and Clay go.

I will say this, even though our line is terrible and they likely need three moves I still think it is actually overrated. no where to run for RBs and on passing plays, come on...a pocket is a pocket, Allen not getting sacked 3 seconds after the ball is snapped does not a pocket make. a number of times last night I saw Big Ben not have to move six inches left or right in his pocket due to his pocket just plain not collapsing. Please note I am not excusing our RB play of late, but damn our line stinks.

Rams and Bills May Have Discussed Hughes Trade

Matt Barkley extended for two years
dollars 2 donuts replied to jletha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Doc, if you would have posted a picture of bikini clad models playing with puppies instead, you still would not have gotten the amount of upvotes you’ve received for the above. 100% spot on brother. As far as Barkley, I honestly believe he is a dependable back-up and a team player for Allen going forward. I’ve wanted him signed and done with for a few weeks. I love this move. I am not looking for a starter in his position. I need a guy who is there for his team, his starter, and able to start a couple of games, if necessary. -

This is a shame. It is too bad we don’t have enough cap space in 2019 for a high performing veteran who is already under and in our cap figure for 2019. ? i’ll also never get this ongoing misunderstanding by some in this fan base that thinks Hughes is a FA in 2019 that we have to find a way to move. not necessarily the point of the OT, but still it comes up more than you think. -
Boy, Corner, believe me I know the above is not the point of this thread and I am with those here who hope that this guy gets his life straight, even if it means he never gets back to football. ...and I know I am being petty, but the above bugs me. I Like Rap, but I am annoyed (maybe needlessly) at the "let's pat Belichek on the back for making a good decision even though it didn't work out." The guy gave production that he was very capable of, and then some. BB didn't take a piece of coal and turn it into a diamond. He took a very talented receiver and got reasonable production out of him until his next suspension. No pats really necessary for a receiver needy team like NE.
