  1. If they were serious about him in the first 3 years, even on bad buffalo teams, he would have finished his career at the same time, even with his devastating knee injury in 77(?), but likely would have been in a position to challenge Jim Brown as the all-time leading rusher. Yep, just checked. 360 more yards in each of his 3 first three seasons would have had him walking off the field in December of '79 in San Francisco, as the NFL's all time leading rusher. Please excuse the exclusive focus just on football with respect to OJ here. I am just stating numbers. 1969 1,057 instead of 697 1970 848 instead of 488 1971 1,102 instead of 742
  2. It has to be Oliver. Doesn't it have to be Oliver, even if you sign JP for DT?
  3. Shocking and sad. Too young.
  4. How is it that this old, seemingly done story just keeps on getting worse with time? Damn.
  5. Mango, it matters. Not to everyone, but it does matter. Thank you for posting this, brother. Prayers, thoughts and sympathy to the Goodwins.
  6. This is sad all the way around. BigK, can you imagine if Richie had stayed a Bill during his first time around and Buffalo drafted Martin instead of Glenn?!
  7. ARRGH, Shady, that's what makes the 98 season playoff loss to Miami so hard. I don't care if we ended up losing the following game (you know what I mean) , but beating the Dolphins there and you own a 3-0 advantage against them in the playoffs, and 1-0 against the Jets. Can't help anything with the Pats as they were our very first playoff loss, but still.
  8. Love it. More so love not wasting time with it. They got'er done before the unis were even clean yet. EDIT: and I know this is weird, but I very much like the guys that I like playing for us making more money. I like that he isn't being chased out of the league and that he gets to make another good sized chunk for his family. EDIT 2: In 14 years almost half his career earnings of $15,584,000 +/- has come as a Buffalo Bill in the last 3 years (about $7,485,000, not including this new contract).
  9. Jeepers, Cuddy, you just put the idea in my head of the Pats getting Foles, and Brady not wanting to retire heading to Miami.
  10. Yeah, it's his home town. If they didn't want him, fine, but I am not going to argue against someone wanting to come home and play for the team he grew up watching.
  11. I honestly think that just in his second year, and as the standalone starter at LT, in the NFL I can see where you would get comfortable with your job, as he said. The things is the true pros know you have to play and train like your team is about ready to cut you. It's not challenging for a roster spot...it is challenging yourself.
  12. Augie, I wasn't ribbing on you, I was making a joke at Castillo's expense. One of my first, but likely my last, as it is really beating a dead horse. Honestly, maybe Bryan and Dave did talk recently.
  13. This seems to be a no brainer...so it's never going to happen. He can be the only explanation for firing Castillo!
  14. and you know what thing is too, CBiscuit, is that you can throw your arms back, absolutely get into a guys face, bump him like crazy and you are not going to get tossed. Every Bill should have been doing that...and let Gronk throw the first punch. ...but they should have been doing something.
  15. Guys you all probably know better than me, but is there a chance he could go inside? I thought there was talk of him when drafted of being a guard. Maybe not now with all of the foot issues, but just wondering.
  16. Kuech, RIP, and prayers to your family.
  17. The Jets hired a younger, more socially uncomfortable and less charming Putin. ...too soon?
  18. and I love McD, Nih, but honestly brother...he's got to pick up on this, and he didn't. Very frustrating.
  19. Look, I'm serious. I do pride myself on not being a superficial person. ...but holy mackerel how is anybody with hair on the back of their neck not creeped out by this guy?! Anyone else waiting for shaggy haired late 70s Donald Sutherland to come out from behind that Jets screen, pointing his finger and wailing while staring at your soul?! (Look, if at least either @Royale with Cheese or @3rdand12 get the reference I will be happy. Everybody else is just pure and satisfying gravy)
  20. I assure you that you will still live a very long and productive life...missing very, very, very, very little.
  21. The one that Jim was dating...took on the booze cruise. Outstanding memory, LSHMEAB. EDIT: DID you happen to catch her the other night? ....also losing at the Golden Globes. Everyone talked about how if she had only taken the Kidman part in Big Little Lies she would have won. What a screw up.
  22. Ya know what, Nextmanup, you lose 4 statutes in 6 years, when you figure at some point...ya know, they would just give it to you, then you have a tendancy to be... ...pissed...Like a Bills fan.
  23. We are the Amy Adams of the NFL, or maybe she is the Buffalo Bills of acting. I believe she is 0-5 for the Oscar. EDIT: Yep, she also lost 4 in 6 years 2006 - Supporting Actress for June Bug 2009 - Supporting Actress for Doubt 2011 - Supporting Actress for The Fighter 2013 - Supporting Actress for The Master 2014 - Best Actress for American Hustle
