Dave DeGugielmo O Line Available
dollars 2 donuts replied to Ittakestime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Augie, I wasn't ribbing on you, I was making a joke at Castillo's expense. One of my first, but likely my last, as it is really beating a dead horse. Honestly, maybe Bryan and Dave did talk recently. -

This seems to be a no brainer...so it's never going to happen. He can be the only explanation for firing Castillo! -
Gronk likely headed for retirement per Rapoport

and you know what thing is too, CBiscuit, is that you can throw your arms back, absolutely get into a guys face, bump him like crazy and you are not going to get tossed. Every Bill should have been doing that...and let Gronk throw the first punch. ...but they should have been doing something. -
Would Cordy Glenn be an option in FA?

Guys you all probably know better than me, but is there a chance he could go inside? I thought there was talk of him when drafted of being a guard. Maybe not now with all of the foot issues, but just wondering. -
Kuech, RIP, and prayers to your family.

Jets select Adam Gase as HC

The Jets hired a younger, more socially uncomfortable and less charming Putin. ...too soon? -

Look, I'm serious. I do pride myself on not being a superficial person. ...but holy mackerel how is anybody with hair on the back of their neck not creeped out by this guy?! Anyone else waiting for shaggy haired late 70s Donald Sutherland to come out from behind that Jets screen, pointing his finger and wailing while staring at your soul?! (Look, if at least either @Royale with Cheese or @3rdand12 get the reference I will be happy. Everybody else is just pure and satisfying gravy) -
Are the Bills the Ronald Wayne of the NFL?

I assure you that you will still live a very long and productive life...missing very, very, very, very little. -

The one that Jim was dating...took on the booze cruise. Outstanding memory, LSHMEAB. EDIT: DID you happen to catch her the other night? ....also losing at the Golden Globes. Everyone talked about how if she had only taken the Kidman part in Big Little Lies she would have won. What a screw up. -

Ya know what, Nextmanup, you lose 4 statutes in 6 years, when you figure at some point...ya know, they would just give it to you, then you have a tendancy to be... ...pissed...Like a Bills fan. -

We are the Amy Adams of the NFL, or maybe she is the Buffalo Bills of acting. I believe she is 0-5 for the Oscar. EDIT: Yep, she also lost 4 in 6 years 2006 - Supporting Actress for June Bug 2009 - Supporting Actress for Doubt 2011 - Supporting Actress for The Fighter 2013 - Supporting Actress for The Master 2014 - Best Actress for American Hustle -
I'll say the exact same thing I said before in this thread and said I would keep coming back to as a reminder. ...and that is the Allen vs Mahommes is a red herring in this mishy-gosh. This is about a reporter taking a dig at Buffalo and the Bills, when there were other fish to fry, as well, concerning the option to take Mahommes.

Soooo much right with your comments above, Peterman (which you will always be to me ). So many things are so bad that if they improve everything as you stated above and given the rushers we have (which I fully agree with you on) AND, I MIGHT REGRET WRITING THIS, BUT PLEASE LET THIS BE "SUPER HYPOTHETICAL TERRITORY", this team could be 11-5 next year and yet Allen may only be a 24 TD, 3,800 yards passing QB. In other words it may not be all passing yards and passing tds. It may matter more just to be plain better everywhere on offense. I know, I know...it is a sin in this day and age to say a QB with those numbers is "good", but it may be the case. GO BILLS!

He hasn't done a ton lately, but when the Bills play him he always makes me nervous about what he possibly could do (run, long throw, short throw, throw on the run, etc.). That's how I feel and I am just a person watching the game. I can imagine what I'd think if I actually had to defend him. -
Agree and great post, along with the other points you made to other posters comments. However, the talent level between the two teams offenses isn’t really comparable, and it was the las, game of the first season for both. You’ll know from my other posts that I never say Allen is better than Mahommes. mahommes is unbelievable and no matter how optimistic I might be he isn’t doing in season two what mahommes did in his second year. my thing is this isn’t even about Allen vs Mahommes, but about a writer taking a shot at Buffalo specifically, when other teams in the league, qb needy, could have picked him earlier without giving up anything. edit: and Mahommes was the guy I wanted (or Watson) in 2017. ?

In my opinion, and going back to the original article, this isn't about a pissing match between the value of Mahommes vs Allen. Don't kid yourself, this is 100% about pissing all over the Bills as a lacky, "aw shucks, we done screwed up again yuk-yuk" franchise by a writer who doesn't know any better. This is from a writer who glosses over our first playoff in 17 years and then views the 6-10 2018 season as stumble, when pretty much most around here expected there to be a step back, especially when you purge talent and have 55 million dollars in dead cap space...but why let facts get in the way of a good slam. Like I said earlier, four QB needy teams had a shot at Mahommes and didn't take him. I think Trubisky is quite good, but you tell me the fun an offensive mind like Nagy would have had with Mahommes...and they wouldn't have had to give up anything to get him, and he would produce quite a bit more in Chicago this year than he would in Buffalo...but then again, as the saying goes: "When in Rome, let's f*** over the lowly Bills." I remember almost a generation ago our GM, Tom Donahoe, talking about the importance of the Rooney Rule (named after his old boss) and that the true importance was having minority candidates in for the interviews which would hone interviewing skills and eventually break that barrier with eventual coaching jobs. I also remember that it was virtually in the bag that Marvin Lewis was going to be the Bills first black head coach, hired by Tom Donahoe. I also remember those plans went bust by all accounts because Mrs. Lewis likely didn't want to raise her family in Buffalo...fine. The thing is, even given the knowledge of the above, the Bills hired Greg Williams, a very accomplished DC, and they got ridden out on the rail...by media...everywhere, for exacerbating the racist theme of NFL hiring practices. ...weeks later I believe the Cowboys hired Bill Parcells, without even interviewing a minority candidate...and not a peep...from anyone. Because, hey you know...don't be like that. It's Parcells and he's really good. The hell with the rule, and they are the Cowboys. It's real. It's bulls***, and honestly, you get tired of it after awhile.
