  1. dneveu, honestly at least once every couple of weeks I think about and appreciate how fortunate we are to still have a team. So easily could be us.
  2. I know you need a dance partner to trade down. However, it would be intriguing to trade down in Round 1, get a tackle, get a WR with the Bills 2nd round pick and then pick up one of those tier 1 Cs in round 2 with what you got in the trade down. Jeepers can you imagine if you also pick a G and T in FA?! ...sorry, just like thinking about it.
  3. I always dug this song. Honestly ranks close to New York, New York. I also love Sweet Home Chicago, and Boston Your My Town. ...but I'll take this one, thank you very much.
  4. As a Bills fan I am not sure whether I should be rooting against Amy Adams to lose her 6th academy award, or for her to break out of our shared "0-for" streak. Best Supporting Actress nomination today for Vice, and below is my post from earlier in this thread: We are the Amy Adams of the NFL, or maybe she is the Buffalo Bills of acting. I believe she is 0-5 for the Oscar. EDIT: Yep, she also lost 4 in 6 years 2006 - Supporting Actress for June Bug 2009 - Supporting Actress for Doubt 2011 - Supporting Actress for The Fighter 2013 - Supporting Actress for The Master 2014 - Best Actress for American Hustle Although Glen Close is nominated, too, and I think she is 0-6, but not in such rapid succession...like say, 4 straight SB losses.
  5. Forgive me, whatdrought, I am not trying to over simplify this, I am just being concise. I agree with what Shady says above, and additionally...have a good GM that keeps picking good young talent. Maybe not great, but just good enough, and through multiple rounds, to spread across the board on your team and keep you competitive as you lose some very higher end talent as a result of your QB salary.
  6. It is a shame this game was tainted by this and just a bit on a good guy like NRC. Not his fault at all he was just playing the game. However, I would have loved it if everything stayed the same and just before NRC gets there he would have turned to face the direction of the ball and put his hands up. People would still complain, but the controversy would be over as he would be going for the ball. ...damn, second thought, if he is there way to early that it probably should be called in that instance, too. Still would have liked to have seen it.
  7. Row...row...I remember the play, Not live, but I have seen that video countless times. Damn. When I was watching SB XIV I for some reason thought they were going for their 4th straight...at the time. Still, 4 in 6 years...amazing. A couple of teams have done 3 in 4 years (Cowboys, Patriots), which is tremendous, but I still rank the Steelers a little higher.
  8. Or they would have gone to 3 straight, too? Didn't know that.
  9. Spot on as always and well said. One thing though, No Hud my friend, Miami did do it before us. I believe SBs V, VI and VII.
  10. @H2o Bark's, when reading it I actually had the image of H2o delivering it with a cold, deliberate and firm voice, without inflection and without pause or mistake.
  11. Btw, side note: enough with this. Either be Robey or be Coleman, or be nothing.
  12. They are at a disadvantage if the refs allow the ground to actually CAUSE a reception for the Pats, in plain sight, like they did with Hogan yesterday. especially if not overturned by obviousness in replay.
  13. It’s the sole reason why the Dolphins should hate the Bills...always. one of the greatest QBs of all time and just one SB to show for it. I call you hero with the above, H2o. May you live to be a thousand years old.
  14. It sucks, Cap. It sucks. it sucks, it sucks, it sucks. It’s not enough that these bastards win, but they also take the little talismans we cling to...jerks. edit: the only thing left after the four Super Bowls is if they pay Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, and Andre Reed to retire as honary Patriots next year during a halftime ceremony. ...during the Thursday night kickoff game.
  15. They destroyed the closest Super Bowl ever mystique with that OT Falcons game debacle, and wrecked our greatest comeback of all time. was ours bigger? Of course, but everyone will remember the SB comeback more. I freaking hate the Pats and they’ve ruined the next two weeks for me. and no it is not good enough for me to have them lose the SB, the final game of the season, due to the two weeks of BS we have to put up with.
  16. Of course not...Manning couldn't run. Also in their respective first years Allen won more games, even though he started less.
  17. Huds, post of the day. They don't have to be long and they don't even have to be about football.
  18. If they were serious about him in the first 3 years, even on bad buffalo teams, he would have finished his career at the same time, even with his devastating knee injury in 77(?), but likely would have been in a position to challenge Jim Brown as the all-time leading rusher. Yep, just checked. 360 more yards in each of his 3 first three seasons would have had him walking off the field in December of '79 in San Francisco, as the NFL's all time leading rusher. Please excuse the exclusive focus just on football with respect to OJ here. I am just stating numbers. 1969 1,057 instead of 697 1970 848 instead of 488 1971 1,102 instead of 742
  19. It has to be Oliver. Doesn't it have to be Oliver, even if you sign JP for DT?
  20. Shocking and sad. Too young.
  21. How is it that this old, seemingly done story just keeps on getting worse with time? Damn.
  22. Mango, it matters. Not to everyone, but it does matter. Thank you for posting this, brother. Prayers, thoughts and sympathy to the Goodwins.
  23. This is sad all the way around. BigK, can you imagine if Richie had stayed a Bill during his first time around and Buffalo drafted Martin instead of Glenn?!
