If Allen is real deal, bills make playoffs
dollars 2 donuts replied to QBorBust2018's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. However, I think even if he is ok I think they could make the playoffs. if the kid gives you more than 20 td passes, and 25 or more tds, total, as well as not be a turnover machine like Sam Darnold has been the last three years (I like Darnold, but dig intended there) then it should be a good season. -
SNY, you actually have to go back to my original post as I state when everything is said and done he will not have accomplished anything of great merit, but he doesn’t have to be ashamed of his career. 125 or 126 is a lot of games, albeit he is about 50-75, but he’ll start more in Miami. Again he is not great, but man he has played on many bad teams and will end wandering around this league for 15-16 seasons. I wouldn’t likely give him a second thought if he spent 10 years as a back-up and threw 20 tds in 20 starts, but the guy has accomplished a little more than just yoeman credits in the league. You don’t fall ass backwards into being on the verge of throwing 200 career tds. You also are currently 3 td passes behind the guy who was taken first overall in your draft year, and you’ve had to fight and be traded to be “the guy” over that same period of time for whatever team you’ve played for.

Oh, WEO, you know what I mean. He's never won a SB, never been to a SB, never won a playoff game, never been to a playoff game, never won a division title, never gotten into the playoffs. As I, and others, have stated before they should have picked Wilson in the 3rd based upon his play at Wisc (and not hind sight now) and Fitz should have been the starter during Wilson's rookie year. 71...man, the guy had 71 TDs in 3 season straight season with the team (9 the year before for a total of 80 in his Bills career). Absolutely and the documentary on that game is pretty good. However, his success didn't come from playing football.

Happy Birthday coach McDermott
dollars 2 donuts replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don’t think he’ll reach 50 with the Bills. I think after the second Super Bowl victory at 48 he’ll want to step back from the game and take a break for a couple of years. -
You know, Albany, I never thought about this before and I obviously haven't looked anything up, but I wonder if he is the most successful Harvard athletic Alum, ever? Successful with respect to the sport an individual plays, I mean. Not like someone who played baseball for a year and then hit it big on something else. I just don't know anything about their sports history.

Ryan is currently 50th in yards (29,357) behind Roman Gabriel and ahead of Jake Plumber. 4,110 yards gets him ahead of Phil Simms at 35. He has 190 TD passes (53rd), and 22 more gets him to Terry Bradshaw and Matt Hasselback at 35, but Flacco is there too and will be moving up, as well as Russell Wilson ahead of him still playing.

I know this isn't likely, BL, and I know he probably has a lot of successful classmates from Harvard...but I love thinking about some of them who may have laughed at him and thought that he maybe wasted his education. ...yeah, $58 million by the age of 36 is pretty darn good, regardless of your career choice.

In the most critical position in all of sports he will likely never accomplishing anything of great merit. However, he will likely walk away, let's say at the end of 2020, in the top 35 in NFL history for both passing yards and TD passes, while also pulling in about $70 million dollars. That works. For him and his family...yep, that works. Of course he is not great, but there is nothing for this guy to be ashamed of in his career. EDIT: and as others have stated it may have been a mistake for the Dolphins to sign him as he may win too man games. For a team that is is likely gunning for first overall next year he may end up winning them 5.

You won the internet today, Ridge. Savor the flavor because a new day starts in a few hours. You made a mistake, BG. You left out the part of the article where it says, " his fine will likely be missing out on millions of dollars as, at the very least, on a 5-8 year career as a back up QB in the NFL." Man...how could he just pi** that away. It's still amazing to think about.

Are you embarrassed to wear Bills gear?
dollars 2 donuts replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They can take my Bills gear, Huds, when they pry it out of my cold dead hands and peel it off of my rotting corpse. Hopefully many, many, many, many, many years into the future as it would be inappropriate burial attire for someone who died of natural causes, quietly and painlessly, in my own bed. -
Full Intelligent Breakdown of DK Metcalf

Gruden in Washington doesn’t have to worry about such things as what players are going to be on his team. Bruce Allen takes that weight off his shoulders. What a good guy Bruce Allen is! -
@BarkleyForGOATBackupPT5P I mean it was like a weird sort of foggy dream...it just wasn’t real. My best friend, a member of this Board, his nephew was going to school with Ngata, knew him a bit and Ngata was jazzed about the idea of coming to a town like Buffalo. When the Bills pick came up you could almost see 30 something men doing cartwheels in a basement knowing for a fact...for a FACT, that the Bills would pick Ngata next. It just made too much sense... ...and then... ...and then... huh... huh... ...?... ...oh, yeah...”you can never have enough dbs” thing...is a real thing...that an old man or some other old man or someone with power over the decision decided was more important...then like, you know...a sure fire, SURE FIRE future pro-bowler on the Dline.

What if Rosen Ends Up In Miami?
dollars 2 donuts replied to RocCityRoller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am as worried about Rosen being the QB in Miami as I am about being carried away by army ants. -
I am at Disney world this week with my family. i appreciated you guys doing the heavy lifting and keeping me up to date as I can only scan my phone briefly. eball, in typical Bills fan fashion I please with day one, or pre-true free agency, but I’m taking a wait and see attitude. GO BILLS!

JM, great post. However, the thing is you may not get elite players, but you are likely to get players you want and need. Everybody isn't going to say "no." Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde came here and that was when things were worse. Were they as known comodities then? No, of course not, but they are now and we are better for it. AB wants the money and the limelight. No, he is not going to get that in Buffalo. Hell, he may not get that in B-Lo even if we were 10-6 last year and our QB threw 30 TDs. Please keep in mind the team was stripped, AND had a 50 million dollar dead cap space hand tied behind its back. They don't anymore more. Is there any denial that this team will be more talented than last year's team? Even moderate gains will be gains, and our QB now has a year under his belt. They will get help where needed. There is no reason...THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO BE OPTIMISTIC. To the point of my post, where are the sabres right now? Other than the 10 game streak for the fourth time in five years they are worst team in hockey. I still think that is where most of his angst is coming from. I don't know whether you follow JW, but I do and it was getting kind of tiresome, both on the morning show and on twitter.
