  1. Is there any chance that after his time in New England he felt a bit... wait for it. wait for it. not even worth waiting for it this far. please, don’t even wait anymore. ...deflated? (told you)
  2. How did he ever put up yards against that robust Tampa defense?!
  3. A susan flies says the baker times.
  4. Props to you, Seasons, for just pulling in Apollo out of no where. Generally love the Rocky movies, but honestly everything could have ended right there at the end of Rocky III and I'd be fine.
  5. Two things, quick, and I am sorry if they have already been talked about: 1. Given Pegulas comments are we just taking a domed stadium or retractable roof stadium off the board? I believe so, unless you can find a way to bring that under 600 or so million dollars, which a shot in the dark tells me is the sweet spot. 2. Wouldn't many of us anyways prefer or a more moderate stadium with more reasonable tickets than the cathedrals we are seeing built?
  6. Anything that gives them more concussive hits to the head...is probably not a good idea for a young NFL player.
  7. I was hoping for even just one more year.
  8. Very respectfully to all I've believed for the last few years that you draft your starting RB when you need a new starting RB, because the thing is you don't have to groom a RB like you do with QB, WR, TE, or OL. If you get one in the later rounds and they take over the job, great. However, right now I am fine with Shady and Gore. I think combined they should be able to get 1,600-1,760 rushing yards for the season which should be fine (throw in another 400 + for Allen which is not unreasonable). If the combination of the two, and then somebody you get in the 4 round or beyond, doesn't work, then you have a priority to get a RB next year. I just don't believe you have to get the kid ready.
  9. I absolutely hear ya, WEO. I was commenting on the post, but was more so thinking about a child or grandchild of the owner or a child or grandchild of someone associated with the team. As you stated that still may even be hard, but I should have clarified that in my post.
  10. I know nothing about Rochester politics, but that aside, this is a tremendous point and a very sadly lost opportunity to recognize one of the founders of the League. Shame.
  11. "...Gase would have offered at minimum Miami’s 2018 first-round pick and probably more." AND Detroit gets to be quarterback-less while being stuck in cap jail. Friends with Gase or not if I were Matt I would have been belly laughing as I was hanging up the phone. EDIT: I don't love Stafford as much as some do around here, but he is still the QB you build your team around for the next 5 years if you are Detroit.
  12. Damn straight, Sean! Oh, and excuse me gentlemen, I have to go buy tickets for my wife to see Kristen Chenoweth, one of her favorites, playing with the BPO the following weekend. That's after we go to that place where we throw axes at targets, and then do curling downtown, but before we have fat stacks of steaks at Russell's, one of the top rated restaurants in the country. While I'm at it I better pick up something pretty for her at Lululemon's at the mall. Maybe something she can wear while we are at Niagara-on-the-Lake catching a show at the Shaw Festival, or watching Shakespeare in the park at Delaware, or water skiing on Lake Erie or riding Superman at Darien Lake... ...or eating tacos at Mighty. In your face, NFL player losers.
  13. Hmm...when I look at these facts they tell me that Gore is an improvement over Ivory. ...but the moron in me says, "hang on there, Buckaroo, don't go jumping to conclusions!"
  14. OK...that made me smile a little. Don't convince yourself that I laughed, Houston, but I did smile!
  15. Man, we have nothing with Baltimore. Simply nothing. No rivalry. Nothing to care about between organizations. I know the NFL wouldn't focus in on a schedule like Buffalo (maybe for Baltimore), but why would they have these teams meet in the first game of the season for the the third time in 4 years?
  16. Kiss me. Come on, seriously, get over here and give me a great big kiss. I don't care who's watching, you've earned it. OK, I will start spreading the dirty laundry on these players now. However, not gonna lie, this is a tall order a month before the draft. Look for headlines like, "Greedy Williams kicks orphan in the belly".
  17. Yeah, just trying to decide whether it is Cleveland or Baltimore on this end. Whoever doesn't has a good shot at the wild card. For the first time in my memory Pitt is just an afterthought.
  18. Great post, as ususal! Hap, did you see the Tweet (I forget from who) where it was said that Allen was sacked 17 times within 2.5 seconds of the snap of the ball? Jeepers, man, I know he is still a kid, but let's keep making those moves to make sure he stays upright. I really still want him to make yards with his feet, but I would prefer if he worked harder at getting out of bounds and also slid maybe a step or two sooner than normal to avoid the Kikos of the league.
  19. They will always be open to it, but yeah Starry, I am really starting to agree with this point. I think there are at least a couple of choice opportunities at 10 that they just don't want to miss out on by the DL, OL, or TE.
  20. You are only saying that because they were a 8-3 in games he started and 1-4 in games he didn't. ...umm...please keep saying it.
  21. I love this. I wanted this last year. Honestly, things might have turned out a bit differently if they had signed him last year when they had the chance. No, not playoffs, but you know what I mean. That debacle in the first 2 games was gross. I would have paid him 5-6 last year and when (Cleveland?) got him for 4 I was P.O.'d. An easy amount for a guy they liked.
  22. The thing is, too, his injury last year happened while sitting in the pocket. Hindsight seems to be is that it was a good thing as he needed that time just to step back a bit.
  23. Actually, SNY, thank you as that made me think of something. Freddie did nothing of any great merit in the nfl either, nor did he lead a team to the playoffs, and obviously he never won a SB. However, I really love the guy and I have fond football memories of him. For me it is the same way I feel about Fitz, although the feeling is stronger for someone like Freddie. and I am sorry if I gave the impression that Ryan should be with the nfl greats. That wasn’t my intent, and he shouldn’t be thought of that way. Just that there is a reason that he shouldn’t be so marginalized sometimes.
