Buffalo Bills Schedule Leaks
dollars 2 donuts replied to FitzShowUsYourTitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The first game should be Buffalo vs Chicago (Green Bay was an independent in 1919) if for no other reason than we can get the Bulls**t screw job we took on the title in '20 and '21 out of the way and make those Halas babies cry. ...want it at Soldier field?! FINE, YOU'RE ON!!! EDIT: If the schedule disadvantage is now coming up from the last decade, and we have the likes of "No goal" and "The Music City Miracle" on our backs I wish someone would actually do a story how Halas did us in, not only in the early 20s, but in 1950 when he stopped the Buffalo Bills of the All American Football Conference from getting in the NFL. -

One additional note that I hope doesn't get lost: This is why I want my owner to be super rich. They are not going to make the same amount of money off this team the way other owners do with their teams, and therefore they are not going to have that extra income stream to pour back in the team. Tired and gone are the days of having an owner (respectfully to hockey and Ralph) that has 80-90% of their worth tied up in the team. I am likely in the minority, but I really don't want the Pegulas shelling out more than a billion dollars on a stadium...and then...well done, that's it, no more. BTW, where is your $50,000 PSL Bills fans? I'll always love this team, but maybe more importantly I want the players to love playing here and appreciate what they have because of the thought and care that went into the nice touches. -

I don't have a link, but I also read that they have a new hyperbole chamber that is simply the best one that has ever existed. -
Boy, MJS, I need my relief pitcher to do something, especially one the caliber of Gore. If I had Nolan Ryan in his last couple of years i wouldn't just sit him. Allen could do 700 and I don't have as big a problem with him doing it as some. I just don't think the coaches are going to let that happen.

Forgive me for I am one of those glass half filled guys. I honestly believe it will be a bounce back year for Shady given the line improvements and I think Gore brings so much more to the table than just his 15,000 yards rushing. I have trouble wrapping my head around the idea that we may have two Hall of Fame RBs on our team at the same time, so forgive me if my rose colored Bills glasses stay on. I will say this, though, if your name gets mentioned with the phrase "Hall of Fame", I doubt when an opportunity presents itself to move the needle forward for you or your team that you are the type that is going to shrink from that responsibility. That said I reasonably think and hope that we get 1,600 yards from Shady and Frank. I don't really care how you break it down, but I can imagine a 900-950 Shady and a 650-700 Gore. I am not going to be the guy that crazily says we have two -thousand yard backs here because I just don't see that happening and I think the above would be acceptable with most Bills fans. After that give me 480 from Allen this year. A step down, but still a good sum given his skills and with a likely step back that Bills' coaches probably would like to see. As well, give me 10 yards per game from some other source. All said that is 140 yards per game, which would have been 2nd in the NFL last year (Dallas was 2nd with a 139.something). I would love it if it were more, but if your team is banging out 140 yards rushing in any way shape or form I think it sets up nicely for a hopefully and potentially balanced offense. ...don't get me started on a potential 3,600 yard passing season (the combined yards would put us 15th in O if it were 2018). Your thoughts?

2 picks in the first seems like a given to me...

Great analysis, Shaw, as usual. So, in a way I guess we are looking for those guys at a position of need for the Bills in the 20s which talent at that position drops of precipitously after that guy is drafted. -

@IgotBILLStopay Igots has mean on this Q. WIlliams trade up thing so much that I can't think about anything else. Stupid attractive draft nuisance enticing Igots. Yeah, I would like the above for what it does to our D, especially over the next 4-5 years (Williams, Star, Phillips). However, If it doesn't happen I am a big fan of trading what we need to get two in the top 32. However, I don't necessarily want to trade back and then use some capital to trade back in. I like the potential pick at 9. I'd rather have 9 and 20 something rather than teens, 20 something a little extra capital later on. I want those first two picks to just plain start. -

Shaw! Players love Buffalo. It's a no brainer he would sign here. *sits and waits for both sides* -

Yeah, but the thing is my original post was about a number of guys that I like are potentially going to be cut...that hasn't changed with whether we trade for draft picks or whether the coaches get to see it instead of me. -

It’s just that I don’t think the preseason gives that much of a taste. They’ll do it in practice, but not many of us will see it. -
@IgotBILLStopay I haven’t considered him him this whole draft season as I always thought he was out of reach. Additionally, even though we’ve filled a number of holes, we still have others to fill. All that said I believe I am with you on this, and I would give up a quite bit to do it. With this move I think an already good/great defense becomes an absolute mess for opposing offenses to play against.

Absolutely true. However, don’t you like to play with new toys first and then eventually get bored and pass them on? -

Jeepers freaking creepers, in August this team is going to end up cutting guys I like quite a bit. -

This is absolutely horrible. Additionally, and I’ll do it because I was the guy who brought it up in a similar thread a few months ago with an arrested former player who spent less than an eighth of his pro career as a bill but was shown in the article as a bill, it follows here. Although, in the articles defense he was briefly here, but did see action in the regular season. -

Is Kelvin Benjamin's career over?
dollars 2 donuts replied to The Bills Blog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In 2009 on team that was almost as bad, for 2 million dollars the Bills got a 35-36 year old T.O. to catch 55 balls for 829 yards and 5 tds. I bring it up because it is still just so amazing how bad Benjamin was, in his youth with a contract on the line. If the ball was on fire you'd think he'd catch it. You'd think he'd run every route as if his life depending on it. ...it just never seemed that way. -
Ranking AFC Playoff Hopefuls P1

MJ, I respect the heck out of you, but I disagree in this instance. I actually believe in my vulnerable football heart of hearts that cries itself to sleep at night while eating chicken fingers...hot, that if they had started Mayfield from the get go I think they would have won the division. I am also not just basing that on the first two games, but rather how he maybe would have progressed over the season. Maybe they also would have locked it up before the end of the season if Hue had been fired a little earlier. Since then I believe they have only gotten better and the draft will fill in some holes that makes an extremely interesting team at a number of different positions, that much better. -
Simms Top 5 WR (draft prospects)
dollars 2 donuts replied to Allen2Moulds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rags, if so could he drop to the second? If he does and the Bills didn't take a WR in the first, do you think it is a no brainer to take him here (like some mocks have shown)? I just know very little about him.
