  1. Guys, seriously, as was mentioned during a phone conversation with Bagel from this board earlier today...how fun is preseason going to be? we honestly could be looking at olinemen playing into the third and fourth quarter in front of Barkley that may end up starting for this team. Our fourth quarter preseason line might end being made up entirely of multi-year nfl starters. i know it is just preseason, but may I please claim 3-1 right now?
  2. There’s the thing, too NewEra, we have so long to wait I just can’t sit around and watch guys I like come off the board. Maybe they trade up, but unlikely. Edit: actually, if they traded a lot a way to get a 4th and we like the guy I probably would walk away happy with the five young men we picked up, especially as deep as our roster is now.
  3. Scribo linked to this early. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/nfl-draft-2019-running-back-rankings-lets-break-down-skills-of-top-rbs-from-elusiveness-to-contact-balance/ does not not mean he is poor receiver nd please see my more recent above. He was the worst rated among that group of rookies. Respectfully, I’m not sure he makes a great long armed target. He he has been on the field a lot in 3 years and had 51 grabs, half of high in 1 season. my point is even though this is a guy I like and I was one of the first 8 or so posters in this thread, is that I just don’t believe Singletary spells the end of McCoy’s career in Buffalo.
  4. Protocol in the cbs rating of him up above in this thread of the guys they had listed I believe he was the worst rated receiver. it doesn’t me he has had drops and maybe doesn’t mean he is a poor receiver. It does mean it is not a surpurlarive of his and...I kind of will take Shady McCoys receiving skills over his. If he is a better running back and a better receiver than Shady please show me. I’m waiting.
  5. I believe the top five on your list are the 2019 backfield. 4 RBs and 1 FB
  6. I saw his comments about this off-season and what he realizes and now means to be a pro. honestly, NewEra, he’ll bring it this year.
  7. Great points, cage. Honesty goodness, I believe we are better at 8 positions on offense. 4 new offensive linemen, a TE, a WR, and with two existing positions including a renewed commitment by Dawkins and Allen I believe will improve on his own and with the cast around him. if you want to throw in Zay and Foster? Man, then things are looking so up.
  8. I get why the Dolphins traded, but I am not necessarily a fan of the move. i think the Dolphins were in a good position, as they were starting to strip their roster, to be at the top or the second spot in next year's draft. Now, even with Fitz and Rosen, I think they can just be middlingly bad, but not in the position they want to be in to draft THE guy in 2020, which I thought was a good goal.
  9. i can't imagine what this team would be like under somebody else.
  10. The vision is silly. Plus the guy can skittle 6 inches to the left or right and then bam, he's off.
  11. I liked what I saw in this kid before the draft and this might be a good pick. However, I am pumping the brakes on the idea that a 5'-7", 3rd round draft pick who is a poor receiver is going to end Lesean McCoy's career in Buffalo. I mean seriously can we at least step back and be reasonable when we say these things? Even I thought about it briefly and then slapped myself upside the head.
  12. I am pleased with this draft, but sorry, I agree that we are a bit thin at wide receiver talent. true that after the first two rounds number one wr talent is at a premium. However, it is not an incorrect statement to say we are made up of 2s and 3s.
  13. I may like this pick. great job Coy. i liked checking this kid out in the offseason.
  14. I honestly thought of Ford flip flopping between G and T, as well. Man, this is such a good problem to have.
  15. Simple and to the point, JB. And spot on.
  16. So...making holes with prejudice. ?? Thanks man. Education is good even at my age! @MrEpsYtown one more thing, EPS: right now what does your starting five look like?
  17. Please explain, my friend Eps. I am embarrassed that I don’t know, so please don’t tell anyone I asked.
  18. Huds, seriously, I have no grudge against him and after Baker he was my other early favorite for QB. Then I read all the stuff, and didn’t believe it. Then I talked to someone in the know with the kid and he is...um...a jerk! ...and even if they loved him, I thought he would be a guy that wouldn’t be here after five years.
  19. Kalsu, I think on the first page someone linked to a tweet that it really seemed like, yeah, Tampa might have been interested in taking him.
  20. What’s weird that, even without giving specific names, before yesterday an OT in the first and DT in the second seemed likely. now we do it, but in reverse order and it seems to be a big issue with some. as they say the draft isn’t just for this year...but the thing is through the draft so far we have drafted two starters for this year. i am great with this.
  21. I think old man Shady...is going to be just fine finding holes to run through.
  22. He was still on the team.
  23. Just like a dick would do.
  24. I love that we are kicking the dirt up about Rosen right now. damn, this division is going to be fun!
