Buffalo Barbarian 's Final Mock
dollars 2 donuts replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look at you, BB! The hell with drafting a RB you say, and you know what, this year I think I am with you. Little nervous about Sweat, but I get why you picked him. I like Samuel and wish I knew more about Kaden Smith. -
and THIS is why I don't send Ridge Christmas cards with a return address on them! R-dubs...I am the fat guy in the ugly reindeer sweater. Bill, here's the thing, I am also tremendously busy with family and work. However, this board is one of the few things I do have time for on the side and considering what a great job so many of our members do around here of summarizing the drafts I really get almost all my information from here.
-
Congrats to the Bills for drafting at least 3 players with at least 10,000 career yards rushing.

I now like about 5 guys in this draft at 9 and about the same for round 2. If one of them gets picked, great...the thing is, like with the Christmas gift you didn’t get, there will be disappointment over the 4 other guys you will no longer have the chance to draft. It’s what I hate about this process. We invest so much stupid time, starting in January, ramping up in February, crystallized in March due to free agency, and virus like in April. I know more about these young men than I know about some of my relatives, and I work with some of my relatives. I have football crushes like a 10 year old kid and I am old enough to not remember being a 10 year old kid. And it all begins in 36 hours...as much as it will come to an end...And I will love my Stretch Armstrong, but will morn that I did not receive a Radio Flyer.

The Worst Bills Draft Picks of the 2010’s
dollars 2 donuts replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We traded up to get the third QB off the board last year, and that was qb. With all the receiver talent in 2014 why the hell would we move up to take the first receiver off the board, especially at the cost of a number1? I agree with you on this, but the EJ pick definitely played a part in this. -
PanchoBilla enters Hospice (Has now passed away)

I will join in a minute, as this is about a minute later. -
I like this young man, but as others have stated boy is the film unimpressive. I know he is quick, but it just looks like very single guy he is lined up in front of just plain doesn't try. I mean really looks like that is highlight really isn't as much as anything special he does, but just an indictment of how bad the guy he is playing against is.

It has dragons and the undead. Good stuff. -
23 years ago today- Eric Moulds (1st rd pick)
dollars 2 donuts replied to Solomon Grundy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My goodness what a freak. I can't believe how many of his TDs were longer than 10 yards, and how many were highlight reel material. It makes me think that I don't need good receivers for Allen as much as I need good receivers and 1 great one for Allen. -
See a theme here at RB, Bills fans?
dollars 2 donuts replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let me see, 25,000 yards rushing between 2 of them. One is known for being fast and evasive, another is a slammer who is a great lead blocker to boot, and a third has damn good hands for a RB and has a career average of 4.0. Essentially, everything you said. Yeah, I am with you, and them. -
I'd worry at 9, but would feel more comfortable in the teens. Yeah, that's why I brought this up. Didn't know about the character issues. good points. Guys, I am going to leave this open just for it a bit longer, but can somebody let me know how to lock my own thread? I don't want this thread tying up space here.

@May Day 10 Good points and a good post. Thank you. I was there on opening day in 1988, May Day, and I was there last year. She is still the belle of the ball in the minors. Additionally, winning may be secondary, but somebody has to win and somebody is winning. I just know it is never the Bisons. Please keep in mind that while lauding Toronto we now are with an organization that has provided us with 6 straight non-playoff season, likely going on 7, and they haven't even fielded a winning record since 2014.

...or at least one that has better minor league prospects or minor league organization. Junior aside Buffalo and their stadium still are the jewel of the minor leagues and since Cleveland let Buffalo go, wherein they had 8 playoff appearances in their first 10 years together, Buffalo has now missed the post season 13 years in a row (3 with Cleveland, 4 with the Mets, 6 with the Blue Jays). Additionally, year 14 is off to a shaky start. I know proximity is important, but it is very frustrating that we can't hook up with somebody that has a reasonably run minor league program. 13, soon to be 14 years is a ridiculous time to go without a post season bid, but more directly, not to have a competitive team in Triple A. Only 3 times during this stretch have they won 75 or more games, not once have they won 80 and they have never finished in 2nd during this stretch.

171 grabs in 4 years, and a career 4.0 rusher...yeah, if you are a mid-round RB hoping the Bills will draft you...maybe you should be thinking about another team.

Can the Bills wait past the 3rd Rd for a RB ?
dollars 2 donuts replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Come on, Punt, you know they can. They will draft one next weekend, but truthfully they can even wait until next year. You just plain don’t need to prep RBs in the nfl like you do other positions. -
Allen Sophomore Slump?
dollars 2 donuts replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@Inigo Montoya Great OT, Inigo. 7 out of 10, as you say, which I believe is 4 linemen, 2 WR and a tight end. However, I’d like to throw in the 5th olinemen, Dawkins and his renewed commitment to being a better player instead of just succumbing to the inertia of being a pro. As well I am going to mentione Zay/Foster as the situational third receiver and their expected growth, and finally Shady, a man who is making a push for the hall of fame and still has juice left in the tank. I just think there are way to many positives, as opposed to last year, that are beneficial to Allen to think that he would have a sophomore slump...actually, I think they may be better at every position this year on O...crazy. -
Bills 2019 schedule officially released
dollars 2 donuts replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
From my very first chance I quickly went through it and initially got to 9-7, which includes 2 losses to NE, as well as a loss to Pitt, among others.
