  1. "...a bunch of rednecks at a Bills / Dolphins game"?! Well, I find that hard to believe as I spill a day old can of Genny Cream Ale beer down the front of my "Who Farted?" muscle shirt and wipe it off using my '80 Bills cap with the front third of the bill cut off because those things are just too dang long.
  2. I seriously don't think you guys realize what an asset he was in NFL 2k and/or Madden. My goodness, the routes you could send him on and he would just always come up with the ball, even though he was lower rated.
  3. I give the only standard verification that I ever give that I was in attendance...I was lucky enough to be in a box on that date. No matter how bad it was getting there is very little chance I am walking out of my own volition on beer, wings, booze, soda, peanuts, cheese, dip, pizza and beef on weck. ...even if the rapture were upon us I'd still be thinking I should stick around for wings.
  4. For me it's easily well over 200 from '75 to 2009, with road games and Super Bowl 25 sprinkled in. Since 2009...man..I think 3. Just life, ya know.
  5. No, yeah, agree Zay should have caught it. However, I was just making a comment more on throw. My bad, too, as I speaking whil only having a faint memory of Mayfield's throw this weekend, even though I saw it. I just don't know whether it was late or not.
  6. Shady, I would be stunned if you couldn't do at least 40. I think you ca do that in your sleep...we just wouldn't know how to get it out of you!
  7. I absolutely get your point, but not for nothing when i was listening to Sal during Friday drive time with Bull Dog I think he said that even the Bills, or some commentators, thought the throw was a bit late by Allen.
  8. And this is the thing that we all know and that is very frustrating...this idea that "I am the next QB up and regardless of my skills I deserve the biggest contract in history, if for no other reason because it will be eclipsed shortly." DJB talked about what Allen will be looking for and we will see. However, closer to that time frame right now is both Dak, but also someone like Trubisky. If he does another couple of good years of 24 TDs, 12 pics and 3,200 yards passing we can almost guarantee he is going to ask for the top money in the NFL. Can you imagine if reality set it and it was pretty much, "meh, you are any where from the 5th to 10th rated QB in the league, objectively determined. So on the high end you get 5th money, low end 10th, but let's put you at 7 and be done." Never gonna happen. Note: not to get these top draft picks confused with guys like Tyrod or Fitz who, like it or hate it, signed moderate deals for their renewals.
  9. Just glancing, but I am thinking, based upon the talent spread now: 3 - ST (duh) 24 - OFF (9 OL*, 6 WR, 4 RB, 2 QB, 3 TE*) 26 - DEF (9 DL, 7 LB, 10 DB) * with the wild card being whether they want to keep 1 additional TE and/or 1 additional OL, which I think they would either take from LB or D line. EDIT: Something has to shake out with Love, Johnson and Yarborough. I know you can PS Johnson, but man if he keeps playing like he did on Thursday...seriously he is going to be gone like that LB (Lee?) that went to NE from our PS.
  10. Bodine and Vlad were two of our starters last year, and our two other starters are gone. AND it was an admitted bad sophomore resting on his laurels year for Dawkins (hmmm, I wonder why). I’ll say it ad nausea: our line was way worse than how bad we thought it was.
  11. I will be a broken record on this: as bad as anyone thought the Oline was last year they were actual much, much worse. I believe they got too much credit in some situations where they didn’t deserve it.
  12. Let me guess, it was also 2 pm in the afternoon. No...color me surprised.
  13. No, I think it just gets you back Up tackle, should they like Ford at G. Teller might be the number 2 back up guard, if your starters are Dawkins, Spain, Morris, Ford, and Nsehke (sorry if I spelled it wrong). So, with Feliciano as the back up center, Teller and Long the back up guards, and somebody showing something as the swing tackle, that group of nine might be it. plus you could always put long at back up center should Morris go down, and if anything happens to nsehke, Ford goes to tackle and long comes in. Then if anything happens to Dawkins this new kid could sub there, or bring nsehke over and put the kid at RT. PLEASE RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU HATE THIS OFFENSIVE LINE BECAUSE YOU NEED TO EXPLAIN THAT TO ME. ?? EDIT: I know I am the only one who does this, but whenever I think of feliciano his name in my head is always to the melody of Feliz Navidad. Feli Ci Ano. Feli Ci Ano!
  14. Limeaid, you got that pretty darn right. ridiculous, and the players go along with it, plus complain about safety measures on tackling.
  15. John, seriously I would be surprised if they cut him. Remember the old days when you could develop a linemen. I think this kid will be ready to fully step in and dominate in 2020, while serving as great relief in 2019.
  16. Pathetic. Man, besides the potential of Boettger who ended up on the practice squad for awhile last year, its ridiculous Dawkins and Teller are the only two quality lineman carrying over...and Teller doesn't even start?! Again, as before, that is ridiculous. AND we know Dawkins had a down year, which I think was rectified the moment he gave that interview after the season saying tha he has to be more committed and better, and it is showing. I will stand by what I have said here and other places: As bad as you think last years offense line was last year it was much, much worse. "well, well, they made some plays and protected Allen well at times." Too rarely did they make plays and even when Josh got passes over you could not only see the pocket collapsing, but collapsing in awkward fashion. Tell me you don't watch other teams around the league, even teams worse than us, and notice the general form when a pocket collapses. With the Bills it is normally a jail break collapse. That's why it was so frustrating after the miami game last year to hear Chris and Mike on GR talk about Allen leaving he pocket too early...he left just as the s*** was hitting the fan, and had he stayed without any options that would have been it. That play was kept alive because of Allen, not in spite of him and he just got gassed in the Florida heat when he threw it. They were simply terrible, and sometimes even terrible in games they won. Thank you defense.
  17. I have no problem with Nsheke as I thought he might take the job when we signed him. However, I would love Ford to get that spot, too, if for no other reason that we are now short at back-up T. I know, I know, 6 or one half dozen. However, I was just counting on Ford being the tackle and if anything happens to Dawkins or Ford, Nsheke goes in. We are a little deeper at guard than we are at T, and now we have our T draft pick going in at G. Which, honestly, that is fine if he is good, but again we are thin at T.
  18. Do you think he slipped into the sophomore slump, like Dion did last year? Maybe believing too much n the hype of his second half last year ad not enough work ad focus now.
  19. Has no on brought up the fact that teef has been in concussion protocol since the 1993 AFC Championship game and he is none the worse for wear?
  20. I can't help but love the s*** sandwich we are usually forced to eat as opposed to other parts of the country, time after time, because...you know, we are Buffalo. The above, and arguable some of the highest electric bills in the country while being right next to Niagara Falls, or being (I believe) having the last numbered designated stretch of thruway in New York (190, 290, 390 etc., not the 90 itself) to have tolls on it on the waterfront until someone said, "why the F do we have to pay this" and NY gov't officials shuffled their feet and pretended they had a reasonable answer. People wonder where that chip on our shoulder came from. Sorry. This won't last long. Reasoned or not I am just "in that place" right now. EDIT: Let me chase it with this...how many NFL cities are now left without CBS on directv? Buffalo, Cincy and Cleveland? Look at those three. it figures, if so.
  21. It's weird that part of his wish was to get traded for an undisclosed draft pick. That's some pretty specific mojo going on there. EDIT: Lined it out because other than my stupid joke this is a pretty solid thread and I didn't want to spoil it.
  22. Come on, Gugny, you are just saying that because you are too scared to come out and say that Allen's knee might explode this preseason. Admit it.
  23. Indeed, seriously, we knew this. However, I will still take EJ for 8 games a year then some mediocre other back up for 16. Again, and I know you can’t directly correlate it to him, but the Bills were 8-3 with him in 2017 and 1-4 without him. EDIT: For some reason, although not necessarily a too unknown reason, that mix of Micah, Jordan, EJ and Tre was something together in 2017.
