  1. Everyone talks about Hughes today (as they should), but let me tell you The Lorax is going to have one hell of a final season.
  2. No mea culpa, no mea culpa, and then a mea culpa. My brother-in-law and I both agreed that down 16-0 if they scored something on this drive, anything, then they would have a chance. They did, 16-3. Down 16-3 I then said they would come back and take the lead, 17-16, late in the game...no mea culpa there. However, immediately afterwards I also said that the jets would burn away the rest of the clock after we took the lead, get in to field goal range and then kick a field goal for the 19-17 win. Thank you, new Buffalo Bills, for proving me wrong!
  3. Agreed, unless there is something else killer where they pick. However, doesn't change my post...he looked like a number 1...the 2020 pick isn't on the team for 2019.
  4. So very much agree, plenz. Man, there is 400 plus yards passing, then there is 400 plus yards passing against a Seattle defense, and then there is 400 plus yards passing against a Seattle defense at home! Plenz, it is just week one, but holy cow even if we get to 2-0 we are looking at a tough out with Cincy at home, home against Brady, Gordon and AB, and then on the road against the Titans that took the Browns (Sports illustrated cover boys/super bowl bound Browns...?) to the wood shed. If they beat the Giants they HAVE to beat Cincy at home because, maybe...maybe, they could be 3-2 after 5.
  5. NE is great. NE might win the Super Bowl again. but jeepers creepers, they are not THAT great to do it against the old Steelers. No, no, no...this a brand new, shiny, kind of turdy Steelers that are eventually going to have to do something different in the near future. That doesn't necessarily mean "let's see what we can do quickly for the 38 year old QB." WEO...is there outside chance...OUTSIDE, that the second best team in the division might be the Bengals?
  6. Sorry if this was answered earlier, but is this his 2nd or third 4th quarter comeback? I know one of Detroit and Tennessee were comebacks, but I don't remember if they both were.
  7. If his teammates asked to please go door to door selling vacuum cleaners I think he would do it, with a smile on his face, and red, white and blue in his heart...for his team. ...yeah, that's a captain.
  8. Boy, WEO, did you ever ask a question right there, my friend.
  9. I know, I know, I know. However, wasn't that us, to a degree, after week 1 against the Ravens last year?
  10. Liked because, come on Ac/DC, with Bon Scott. No brainer. and also because you don’t hear High Voltage all that much.
  11. Please forgive me, but may I just get this out there if it hasn’t been brought up earlier in this thread. ....what an a**hole. I’ll sit and wait for the invariable, “oh, he’s actually very smart to do this.” ? Great, he’s smart a**hole then. Edit: “Men” don’t do this. Say whatever the hell you want, but they don’t.
  12. Ya know what, Loco, I think I even remember the coaches giving him praise for his work ethic before he left. Again, if memory serves that didn’t cut him (didn’t necessarily offer him a deal, either) and he was actually signed away.
  13. With you, brother. With you.
  14. Oh, by the way, to pick up where we left off awhile ago...I’m sorry, League, tell us again how you were making fun of us for not getting Brown?
  15. and draft picks and players given up: 0
  16. Only...only way I would consider it: 15 million, 1 year prove it deal, with contingencies that if you looked at anyone sideways, your done. wont happen ever, but still.
  17. I actually even even heard that, too, but he also wasn’t a bill during the season last year.
  18. I take it something got going here? Whatever it was, glad it was straightened out.
  19. OK then, YOLO, thank you. Can you also tell me why Allen wasn't a pro bowler behind those guys in his rookie year?
  20. Please, someone tell me how many starters on o-line from last year aren't even on NFL teams anymore, let alone not starting for their new team? This is excluding someone like Teller who kept right up final cut downs, and then got something for him. Miller may be the only who I believe may be starting, and could be wrong about that.
  21. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Why in the name of hell does he always get a pass with this? I believe (I looked in to this awhile ago and I am going off of memory) between Sr year of college and partial rookie season in the pros he had 42 turnovers.
  22. Royale...jeepers, that's simply perfect. EDIT: Also because I was able to do it with Rickman's voice in my head.
  23. My sarcastic posts aside, Riot...man, he is phenomenal receiver and HKs showed him as a real person. I honestly think that as a guy, he's not a bad one. ...but boy they have worked so hard over three years getting rid of the "me first" or "I'm not saying it, but you're lucky I'm even here, can't wait to get out, and I'll rest on my laurels when I feel like it" sort of guys.
  24. BE QUIET! BE QUIET!! He would have been the best receiver we have ever had on this team and THAT is all that matters as it would automatically mean 12 wins. What the heck is wrong with you?! Don't you know that the needs of the 1 out weight the needs of the 53?! It is 100% about what this guy can do for this team on paper and on paper he catches a ton of passes and is a star...the hell with everything else. Big Ben can't carry Josh Allen's jock strap when it comes to leadership and influencing a team! ...it's like I'm on a board with a bunch of gnats.
