Antonio Brown RELEASED, signed by PATS
dollars 2 donuts replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only...only way I would consider it: 15 million, 1 year prove it deal, with contingencies that if you looked at anyone sideways, your done. wont happen ever, but still. -
Patriots cut Russell Bodine

I actually even even heard that, too, but he also wasn’t a bill during the season last year. -

OK then, YOLO, thank you. Can you also tell me why Allen wasn't a pro bowler behind those guys in his rookie year? -

Please, someone tell me how many starters on o-line from last year aren't even on NFL teams anymore, let alone not starting for their new team? This is excluding someone like Teller who kept right up final cut downs, and then got something for him. Miller may be the only who I believe may be starting, and could be wrong about that. -
My sarcastic posts aside, Riot...man, he is phenomenal receiver and HKs showed him as a real person. I honestly think that as a guy, he's not a bad one. ...but boy they have worked so hard over three years getting rid of the "me first" or "I'm not saying it, but you're lucky I'm even here, can't wait to get out, and I'll rest on my laurels when I feel like it" sort of guys.

BE QUIET! BE QUIET!! He would have been the best receiver we have ever had on this team and THAT is all that matters as it would automatically mean 12 wins. What the heck is wrong with you?! Don't you know that the needs of the 1 out weight the needs of the 53?! It is 100% about what this guy can do for this team on paper and on paper he catches a ton of passes and is a star...the hell with everything else. Big Ben can't carry Josh Allen's jock strap when it comes to leadership and influencing a team! ...it's like I'm on a board with a bunch of gnats.

I wish we would have got this guy. He would have meshed so well with the McBeane philosophy. I actually don't know how the Bills have been able to function without a distraction like this. I simply can't help but fantasize about him being the highest paid Bill.

ESPN article about the Bills
dollars 2 donuts replied to Stallions's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's have lunch together, nrenegar. Our screaming will have us kicked out before we even get to our apps. OH and btw, Bruce Murray did a game by game win/loss analysis for every team this season (and obvioulsy thereby every game). ...6-10. Exact same team. Exact same team. I've said before and I'll say it again, if Josh Allen has absolutely NO growth this year the Bills are 8-8. ...I just don't understand how they look at this team. -
If Chad Kelly Was Ever Going to Make It

Oh well, It's never too early to start getting ready for the team Christmas Party! Chad calls shotgun!!! ...or couch gun!!! "This is NOT my living room." -
Kyle should coach
dollars 2 donuts replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
RC you are so right. Man, I heard or read about so many stories of guys sleeping at the practice facility, putting in 20 hours a day and doing it for s****y pay. Could Kyle be a little fast tracked? Sure, maybe, but come on the guy has grossed almost 60 million in his career and if he has been smart, which I believe and hope he has, he could possibly be running around with 20 million in the bank (money left, but investments also) and enough to respectively live off of. I know it is not this simple, but even a 2% return gets you $400,000 per year, gross...I've read some place before that $400,000 is a reasonable amount of money to live your life well. -
Jared Goff New Contract Largest Guaranteed Ever
dollars 2 donuts replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gosh darn it, HUDS, thank you! I couldn't remember his name, but didn't feel like looking it up. yes, I agree completely. IF a veteran doesn't necessarily work out now, it's just because. It's not a resting on laurels thing. Of course many will say Marcel didn't play to his potential and I kind of agree, but that is a bit on us. However, he wasn't a bust, and I don't think he is with the jags, either. -
Jared Goff New Contract Largest Guaranteed Ever
dollars 2 donuts replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This doesn't necessarily drive me crazy, nor does the trend of guarantying large sums of money in general, due to the fact that even if the guy is terrible (which he won't be) you still would not likely cut him in the first couple of years, regardless of the money they are paying for him. So really you're looking at a wasted year three and the attributes of guaranteed money over years 3 and 4. The age of someone (mostly rookies) getting a huge contract and being bust right out of the gate on a deal appear to be over. -
Thumbs up, Wayne, bu it does: 1. Ignore the way they finished, 2. Discounts the moves that they made. I absolutely can't reasonably look at Allen and say, "Man, he finished strong, but forget about all that and focus on the very first starts he ever made in the NFL behind one of the worst lines in the sport with the "un-assistance" of simply terrible receivers that I wouldn't wish on Hitler." Not fair when around the league, including the Jets, it's, "...man they got so and so and look out because it means good things, yada, yada, yada..." EDIT: I honestly may be wrong, but I believe two of our Starters on the O-line from last year aren't even on NFL rosters right now. Cole Beasely makes this team better...if you are only generally aware of the nFL as a reporter you know that given our talent from last year. John Brown makes this team better for the same reason. Mitch Morris makes this team better Cody Ford makes this team better If everything and everybody else is a wash on this offense they've improved quite a bit right there. It's not just changing players and lets see...NFL PEOPLE KNOW THESE GUYS ARE AN IMPROVEMENT.

Because I receivers were so good last year. Come on Code Monkey, if my blue blinders are off (which they are), then shouldn't your "shades" come off, too? If you really want to sing the praises of Bodine, Miller, Mills and Ducasse, while scratching your chin wondering whether these guys are better, go ahead. I will listen, but I'll be reading the paper while you are singing. While you are at it please hum a few bars of kelvin Benjamin and us in a situation where Deonte Thompson could be a starter at WR. I will also listen to how the Jets are better than us and rated higher than us in power rankings, but like a judge would say, "counselor, get to your point quickly." I here you, but that is an answer without being a great answer. That is absolutely no fault on you, it just goes back to my original point. I'd rather have it be click bate by letting other people look at it and get pissed off because they think the Bills are too high.

I'm 50, so just short of that, 200 plus in attendance games including the Comeback and the Super Bowl Wide Right and the end of the Miami losing streak, listened with my brother as OJ went over 2000 yards in '73, we were in our shared bedroom. And there is plenty of opportunity once the games start...and there is just as plenty opportunity right now, too. It is pure laziness as a writer or critic to not actually look at the teams you are commenting about. Waiting until the games are played is for suckers and too f***ing easy.

Very respectfully, Bangarang, it is not. Additionally, I am tired of all the "well, they'll get respect when they win" BS. This is an analysis of the teams and where they are at right now. Therefore, I absolutely can't buy any reasonable person looking at this team and saying, "yep, they'll finish one spot worse than last year...that's the way it looks now." "Well, the Jets have Darnold and he improved, plus they got Bell so..." Why do the jets get to move up because of year 2 Darnold and Bell and we don't get any improvement with year 2 Allen, and the multiple moves we've made?! Its BS that they don't acknowledge Allen's improvement. Wasn't he 200 yards per game when he got back from injury? Wasn't he the 2nd highest rated QB (well, maybe fantasy wise, but still) in the last six weeks of the season? Didn't they go 4-2 down that stretch? Aren't the 2 QBs remaining on this team after last year's debacle 6-5 in games they started and finished? Didn't the League's number 2 defense only lose 1 player and replace him with a top 10 pick? Didn't they change 9 positions on offense with guys who are, to say the least, to a man better than the guys they replaced, and therefore, making Allen better? Do they really mean to tell us that overall this team is only a couple games better than the 4-2 stretch that they put up during the last six games of the season? Really?...REALLY?! It is wrong.

Just how important is Sundays game?
dollars 2 donuts replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What would really stink is if we generally thought we played a good game and the Jets still won. I truly believe we are better than the Jets...but man, I do not need that seed planted in my head of "could the Jets be better than us?" They can't be, you guys, right? They simply can't be. EDIT: For the love of all get out we replaced all but two positions on offense and I think we upgraded at EVERY spot with this change over, which exponentially helps the most important spot we didn't change, Allen at QB. -
Thank you for proving my point, Shady! ? THEY said "no injuries".

Oh I know, TB27, and nothing will happen. Heaven forbid (please, Heaven as I truly am a God fearing man) if anything should happen the tongue will be replaced by my lips kissing *** around here begging for forgiveness! Gentlemen...THIS is it. I will live with 10-6, but brothers and sisters I feel 11-5 in my bones! GO BILLS!!!
