Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays bump.

Guys, I know about the division currently. I’ve laid it out like others have.
I’m also in the category of “This team will never lose again.” I think even one of us made a great thread about this.
That said, what are the most likely scenarios that get us in at 10-7? Likely scenarios would be who is likely or could lose to who.
Go Bills.

2 seed is still plausible. Not easy, but plausible. Bills win out, Miami drops one to Dallas or Baltimore, KC drops 2 of 3 to Raiders, Bengals and Chargers. No Arrowhead required.
They only need KC to drop one. If all the other AFC south contenders lose 1 game and fall to at best 10-7, we win the tie breakers at 11-6 against KC.Heck, as long as we go 11-6 we can root for Cincy over the Chiefs.
-
2 Bills wins and five losses (1 each by Miami, KC, Indy, Titans, and Jags) gets the Bills the #2 seed.
I believe in any scenario with Kansas City we cannot be tied with any other teams, and going to the max bracket of tiebreakers. It needs to be just us and Kansas City for the number two, and we obviously win in head to head.

Fournette just passed Reggie Bush on the Bills all time rushing list.

You should be able to watch it on Peacock regardless of where you are.
Locally. I don't think it is if not local.
Yeah, it’s working.
Thanks.
Go Bills.

No clue how things work in the Buffalo area. I would assume that, if it were to be blacked out, it’ll be blacked out and shown on WRGZ or w/so it’s called (the local broadcast)
Yeah, that’s exactly what I mean, and my issue is I have not had nbc/channel 2 for about a month now due to the dispute.
Yes, I have an antenna, but it is a chore given my tv and location to try and set it up. I would prefer it on peacock.

How to Watch on TV:
Time: 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST
TV: NBC (WGRZ Buffalo)
Play-by-play: Mike Tirico
Analysis: Cris Collinsworth
Sideline: Melissa Stark
Nuch, thank you my friend. I apologize for being thick, but it is still a little unclear whether living in Buffalo I can just watch it on peacock. It seems like it may be blacked out, like the Sunday ticket does, or used to do. I really don’t want to watch it off the antenna and would prefer peacock.
I’m looking for them to be definitive. Along the lines of “we know there is BS going on between satellite providers and the networks. No matter where you are, you can watch on peacock.”
I’ll be set, either way. Just looking for early piece of mind from them.23 minutes ago, Since1981 said:As much as regional and national media talk about how important Bills are to their loyal, devoted fan base—pretty annoying to force a floundering niche stream svc upon a 76 yr old. I’d say the $6 isn’t the issue, it’s the setup and hassle factor.
Just for general information purposes, that was New Era’s mom. I know it is just the way the quoting works on the board that it looks like I said it.Just because I’ve written on here previously about the fact my mom passed away more than 20 years ago.
I don’t want to be accused of lying about the late best woman in the world. 😉

I don’t cry about it. I think to myself- it sucks that I had to pay $20. Then I accept that this is the model of the times and it’s likely to continue. I would never cry about it on a message board. But then again, signing up and cancelling only took me 2 minutes. If that wasn’t the case for you, I can understand the inconvenience. My mother, who’s 76, wouldn’t even be able to sign up for peacock. So I can understand why someone who aren’t tech savvy would be frustrated
Personally, I’ve spent $20 on countless bad meals that I didn’t even enjoy. I’ll enjoy the game and it’ll last 3 hours. I’ll then also have access to peacock for a year. For about the price of a game of bowling or a potentially bad meal.
5 hours ago, Mike in Horseheads said:And you'll get to see the NFL playoff game on there
I already had peacock. My only remaining question is will it be blacked out locally here in western New York given the “potential” to have access to the broadcast or is still primarily a streaming game and can’t be blacked?
i have an antenna ready to set up just in case.

I love the Lions. I loved them last year...heck even back when they were struggling to end their draught.
However, this guy has 1.5 good years going for him (fine) and still isn't at the apex of the league (but close) and they have yet to see their first playoff game.
Let the GMs and the owners know in the room when it comes time. Don't be a douche and have it "escape" out into the world like this.
...ya douche.

So I just read an article of how the Bills can create a ton of cap space. To the point of having $20m or so to play with. Not all the moves would be made. And honestly I wouldn’t want them all to be made. I’ll see if I can find it for you. But some real interesting bits bout how renegotiating Josh adds like $24m in cap space. Doing the same with Dawkins, Knox, Johnson, Milano and others to create even more. Like I said, I wouldn’t want them to do all of these moves. But some of them not only make sense, they would be smart moves.
found it:
Someone will absolutely take a chance on him. And he would be a fool not to cash in on his 2nd contract. After that he can do what he wants. But my guess is he’ll earn around the $60-75m mark for a 5 year contract.
and yes, he likely won’t live up to it. May end up like Shaq Lawson and then back here to finish out his career as a situational pass rusher again.
You've been dishing out the goodies, rags.
I have yet to really disagree with you today.
Yeah, that sounds about right for AJ. I thought earlier this year there is no way he gets offered less than $10 million per, with possibly more if he sustains.
The frustrating thing his he is just getting to where he should be now, and he may end up going to somebody. Plus we also have to consider Rousseau on the horizon.

I think AJ may cost more money in FA than Floyd. Yes Floyd has him in sacks. But AJ does have a decent turnover and broken up plays to his resume. Not to mention he’s doing it all while not being a full time starter. Some team is going to look at him and think…. Wow, if we could land him just imagine what he could do full time. And that might be the only reason we keep Floyd imo. Especially if he wants to continue to play for a contender and change rings. He’s already been paid. He’s in the twilight of his career. Maybe he takes a little less to stay with someone like us. Who knows.
But for the record. I appreciate you Leonard Floyd
rags, I am with you, brother, and would love it and I want both back, but honestly I was surprised at how out of whack we are salary cap wise for next season. Sure, they can do some things, but man...$42 million before we even start doing anything?!
That's more than cap yoga right there.
Go Bills!

I’m sure you guys do too.
apologies for making another appreciation thread, but I think it needs to be said. 1 year 9M. He’s played like a 18-20M man this year Imo. It’ll be such a dam shame if we don’t make it to the playoffs and lose this guys next year. Such a waste of a prime time pass rusher on an incredible contract.
I thought he would be our most impactful addition for the 2023 season (Kincaid included) and he’s been as advertised and slightly even better than I had anticipated. He’s the kind of guy that can wreck super bowls. Let’s pray that he gets an opportunity in the playoffs.
I appreciate you Leonard Floyd. Please resign with us and hopefully retire a Bill.
Leonard Floyd, I appreciate you, too.
On 12/11/2023 at 6:00 PM, mrags said:Everything you said is 100% correct. Except there is like less than 1% chance he is re-signed after this year. Unless AJ demands waaaay too much money (possible) and they cannot re-sign him. They may get a shot at Floyd who will likely not earn as much because of his age.
Unfortunately, mrags, you are correct.
I don't even think we are going to be able to keep AJ. with our cap situation being as bad as it is.So, we'll lose AJ and we'll lose Floyd, but due to the cap hit at least we get to keep Von...

What I find funny is you go to Miami boards and they are all talking about how they are about to lose the division becuase - as they say - they are paper tigers and they know it.
they will lose out
Drew, it still stuns me that even though their team is 10-4 and have the Bills coming up at home the Bills live absolutely, positively rent free in their heads.
Forgive me, but their stress over the Bills is like nectar or ambrosia to me. It's just so good and if the Bills take care of their own business we get to so wonderfully enjoy this everyday for the next 10 days leading up to the glory of Dolphins week with the hopes of the division still being on the line.
Man, it has already been like Christmas since they lost to the Titans.

Is there a night game the last Sunday of the season? As I recall they set up the timing of games so no one gets an advantage in knowing what they need to do to get in. But my memory could be fading. 😀
Yes, there should be.
Detroit and Green Bay last year, btw.

If the Bills lose to an inferior team (Chargers or Pats) yet again, then I won't sweat not making the playoffs. In my view they would totally not deserve a berth and would be a fraudulent good team.
If they beat those two clubs, and lose to Miami in a defacto playoff game...and still not get in then so be it. The early losses sunk them and it would always be "what could have been"
Zow, this is the take. I concur.
BTW, if we get to the final game of the season and win, BUT Miami goes 2-0 over the next two weeks with wins over Baltimore and Dallas, guess what...they deserved the division then. Nothing we can do about it after the fact.

Well…it seems like I can get it. I may have to test it out first with the early game, but it allowed the search and it allowed me to save the game to my stuff.

personally, I don’t mind paying (I do, but whatever) either for an antenna (lost my last one) or for peacock premium plus (briefly).I have a young child, though, and I really don’t want to drag her out to a bar at close to her beer time to watch her Bills.

okay, just wanted to quickly point out something
(1) apparently peacock has a wild card game this year. i didn't even realize that until reading this thread.
(2) lots of people are recommending to buy peacock for the Bills game and then cancel right afterwards.
if you buy peacock today, your month subscription would cover the wild-card game (which very well may involve the Bills). wild card weekend is Jan 13-15.
i'd illegally stream both, but if you're going to buy peacock, then NO, don't cancel it right after Saturday.
Thank you, Harry. Do you need to buy premium plus ($11.99) to get the game or will the base subscription ($5.99) cover it?
-
Well as it turns out I only pay for premium not premium plus (jerks) so I don’t get wgrz, but I do get nbc sports, nbc now, etc.
the question now being, will I still get the game or do I have to pay for premium plus (jerks again)?

I am one of those few people who just plain had a peacock subscription before all of this that I kind of forgot about.
So...this is probably not the weekend that I am canceling.

This is going to be a major get right game for Gabe Davis— guarantee it. I think we will see the passing game go nuts.
Boy, Miyagi…8 receptions for 161 yards and a td in his last five games and 6 for 105 and a td were against Philly, which means he has 8 more receptions the last five games than Debbie Reynolds who died in 2016.
I hope you are right for the playoff push.
Go Bills!

There has been no update on him and on top of that nobody is even asking about him.
The only reason why I’m asking in a new thread is because the old one was so old (Oct 16 last post) that the thread note said a new thread should be started.
I’’m fine with our current group, and I know his injury initially seemed serious, but I thought shortly afterwards he was generally fine and then he fell off the face of the earth.
If I missed something about his condition I apologize. If anyone knows please post.
If anyone cares you can post, too.
