  1. I agree, but I do get why Jackson got it. Heck, it was just plain the best player on the best team and I can live with that. Honestly, too, this was a year where all these guys, these top 5-6 all contributed something and there could be an argument for each of them. ...and it does sort of make this so weird, because I am not arguing about who won it, but over why so many picked a particular guy for number 2. The Cowboys with Dak, albeit talented and interesting, were exactly who ALL OF US thought they were. Additionally, I know or believe that the voting does take place before the playoffs, but that said was ANYBODY surprised at the Packers embarrassing them even at home? Also I am not mad about Allen not getting it...but given this guy's generational talent can we please get him all the tools he deserves, even if it is just for one season. Can we not do to this guy what the Sabres shamefully did to a historic talent like Hasek...waste him and then wonder what could have been?
  2. Wonderful. Her probably sends his mom flowers on Mother's Day. He's a good guy who had a good season and again I don't dislike him. After this good season by this good guy, though, if I am starting an open draft I dare any of you on this Board with the second pick overall to take him. And I don't like basing the MVP upon "after Jackson's stats this guy is next." Anyone can go right ahead and forget about Allen and go to McCaffery or Purdy...and honestly when I have written about this elsewhere I too had Hill above him. Holy mackerel did that Miami team depend upon him, but also was a star who shined throughout the League for most of the season. The Cowboys were a good home team, but were as soft as any of their iterations that they have put on the field for the last decade...and Dak was a healthy representation and vanguard for that smooshmellowness. In short and very respectfully, I disagree with him being...the second Most Valuable Player in this League...by 17 people.
  3. 17 people. 17 people said after Jackson the second most important player in this League was not Allen...not McCaffery...not Purdy... ...but Dak. ...17 people. I don't hate Dak, and I actually think people are too hard on him at times, but what I believe to be real, breathing, living people who walk upright on this earth came to this conclusion. and for the benefit of the doubt I don't have one shred of proof that any of them are named "Helen Keller."* (* Too soon?)
  4. Super Bowl 25. I was there for the "wartime" security checks. Whitney Houston Looking back and realizing I had a better seat than Bruce Hornsby ...and a kick that from my angle and for 1 instant I thought was good.
  5. We are underwater on Diggs for the next couple of years. I think $31 million and $23 million dead cap hits in '24 and '25. I am completely down with him being a Bill for a couple of more years, regardless of the drop off, because I believe he can still produce. However, can we please just finally agree that the next/eventual new number 1 WR needs to be drafted in 2024, if for no other reason than to possibly help free up an aging Diggs? I love Shakir and I like the potential in some of our WRs, but come on now...we need a #1 who can wear big boy pants this September.
  6. Only 214 days until kickoff. Which hopefully should be September 8, 1 pm, at home. But if not "hopefully," then likely 9 pm, on the road in Beirut on a green Carpet Smart carpet over concrete.
  7. In business profit cures all ills. In football… …score. run’em up.
  8. Bump for the revisions to the OP. Bump for the moment. Bump for St. Crispin’s Day. Tell’em, Bill… King Henry V: What’s he that wishes so? My cousin Westmoreland? No, my fair cousin: If we are mark’d to die, we are enow To do our country loss; and if to live, The fewer men, the greater share of honour. God’s will! I pray thee, wish not one man more. By Jove, I am not covetous for gold, Nor care I who doth feed upon my cost; It yearns me not if men my garments wear; Such outward things dwell not in my desires: But if it be a sin to covet honour, I am the most offending soul alive. No, faith, my coz, wish not a man from England: God’s peace! I would not lose so great an honour As one man more, methinks, would share from me For the best hope I have. O, do not wish one more! Rather proclaim it, Westmoreland, through my host, That he which hath no stomach to this fight, Let him depart; his passport shall be made And crowns for convoy put into his purse: We would not die in that man’s company That fears his fellowship to die with us. This day is called the feast of Crispian: He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named, And rouse him at the name of Crispian. He that shall live this day, and see old age, Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours, And say ‘To-morrow is Saint Crispian:’ Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars. And say ‘These wounds I had on Crispin’s day.’ Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot, But he’ll remember with advantages What feats he did that day: then shall our names. Familiar in his mouth as household words Harry the king, Bedford and Exeter, Warwick and Talbot, Salisbury and Gloucester, Be in their flowing cups freshly remember’d. This story shall the good man teach his son; And Crispin Crispian shall ne’er go by, From this day to the ending of the world, But we in it shall be remember’d; We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition: And gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin’s day. From Henry V, Act IV, Scene III And to paraphrase that great former child star Sandy Lyle from “Along Came Polly”… “Hey, Stadium Wall Members, aren’t you the fans of that team that never lost again? …you’re ***damn right we are.”
  9. I want to punch myself in the face, lay naked in the street and scream “what’s the frequency, Kenneth?” All at the same time. To each his own on how we are handling this monumental moment in Bills history. Go Blue. Kick their a**. Make us proud and euphoric.
  10. Why in the world did I never get into really hard drugs in my life? I could so use them right now. 🤢🤮😵‍💫🫨🥴🤪 I am literally going crazy and getting massively sick. Go to **** all you lunatics who are “so excited.” I am a God fearing man, but one who will be sitting in his pew today with his family smoking cigarettes and shaking a tumbler of whiskey on the rocks just to cope. Go Bills! Go my sanity.
  11. Josh: 25 of 35, 315 yards, 3 TDs, 8 rushes 58 yards and 1 TD. Cook: 20 carries, 75 yards, 1 TD Ty Johnson: 6 carries, 30 yards 485 total yards. Bills 38-21 This is the way. Go Bills!
  12. Great points. Beck, back in the day I played a couple of times in high school on the old Rich Stadium carpet. holy **** 😂😂 terrible. The improvements in field tech are worlds above what it was back then, but like you said when it gets cold and it gets hard…man, it’s frustrating to see even only one possibly injury from it when you are trying to get to the Super Bowl. As a fan I could honestly care less about my conditions. But having the best conditions for our players, and having players then want to come here to play because of the conditions was virtually my sole desire for a dome. Go Bills!
  13. More a referendum on a dome. No one can convince me that the weather and field conditions didn’t at least play a small part in some of the damage to our guys.
  14. I know it is very cold outside and the ground is completely covered, but has anyone suggested to Martin to just rub some dirt on it?
  15. Nibody brings this up, Wiz. You are 100% correct.
  16. Royale, I am saying ditto to the above and absolutely no sarcasm intended. Brother, EVERYTHING you stated above, all of it, I am feeling. I can’t believe how badly I want this one. I can’t believe how distracting it is right now for me. I feel like that one female character in the original matrix just before her plug was pulled…”not like this. NOT like this.” We can’t get them here and then be decimated by circumstances. I believe we will win. I would “get” a loss, but I would be devastated. our boys are going to do this. Let’s go!
  17. 2020 Seahawks, Niners and Broncos games to name 3. I feel you, QQB. There are great plays and moving the ball at times, but no more premiere gunslinging. What a surprise it would be if it popped up this weekend. Either way, Go Bills!
  18. Man…Martin was kicking so well at the end of the season and even in the Steelers game.
  19. The snow straight up in the air throughout the stadium was beautiful.
  20. Recovery of a ball from a player in bounds, regardless of who touches him (whether that player making contact with him is in bounds or not), or some other player “touches the ball but does not possess it” (inbounds or not), should be the definitive standard.
  21. I’m sorry, but given all the injuries on D I am not enjoying any of this lead up. I can’t stop thinking about this game, 24/7, and I can’t stop hoping and praying they get a reasonable number of these guys back on D. I want this game so very badly. I’d be willing to go bald all over again just to have it. Please somebody come to my house and bash my head in with a hammer. Just also be sure to wake me up by 6:30 on Sunday. Shaving and sponge bathing me until I am awake again shall not be required of you, but if it is your thing you may feel free to consider it a bonus. Go Bills!
  22. Not gonna lie, BD, it is effecting my enjoyment of this week.
