‘Old Man Willie’ Willie Brown dies
dollars 2 donuts replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like they said in Citizen Kane, “Old age is the only disease where you don't look forward to the cure." ...time is passing too quickly for me, now. Just trying to enjoy it as much as I can. -
We are on to Philadelphia

Putting a shellacking on other teams early and taking them out of the game is in our wheelhouse, so it should be no problem. ...it's our mojo. ...it's our jam. ...it's how we roll. -
I believe Darnold is a magician...he is able to turn a loss against the Bills and a loss against the patriots into a single loss in 2019. Man, the people supporting him are good!

Simply outstanding, WD.

Josh, one viewing of this every morning and then call me at 4:30 on Sunday. EDIT: I am now thinking seriously that it would be great for the Bills to license this and put it on the jumbotrons in the second or third quarters. Might get a laugh and relax the players.

Royale, man...if no concussion what could have been. As we know and as I referenced in another thread, maybe there would have been magic in the kid as he currently has 4 fourth quarter comebacks and he is the NFL's 3rd highest rated QB in the 4th. I really think he is 2nd behind Watson, and Ryan as just there because they are trailing and teams are in prevent.

I know I am incredible late to the party, but I am sorry and I can't help thinking about it. ... ... ...what if Allen didn't go down against the Pats? The idea that they could have won that game is just starting to hurt more and more as the season goes on. Throw in that the kid as of now has 4 fourth quarter comebacks this season.

Slim, I wrote about this before and I won't go ad nauseum here. However, how do you see Allen with one year under his belt, the same QBs this year that were 6-5 last year as starters on this team, and then 9 new guys on offense that even if you just looked at them on paper were better than the 9 guys they were replacing and say to yourself... "Same team. Yep, same team. 6-10." ??????????? -
Frank Gore is a freak and I love him

I swear to you on everything I hold holy in this world I was going to edit the post above shortly after writing it to say at the end... "Did I say freak? I'm sorry, I meant Super Freak! He's a super freak, super freak, he's super freaky YEAOHH!" -
No, YOLO, and I am sorry to be THAT GUY again, but you are, as usual, mistaken. The talking heads around the NFL don't bring him up as one of the best in the League, so he isn't. He is only talked about by actual Bills game announcers and then quickly forgotten, as he should be. Everyone should stop reading the above and please go back to whatever it was you doing before YOLO decided to interrupt you with this factual nonsense. (subliminal: "submit. submit... ...submit")

Yes. Considering the endurance and relying a lot on that, yes. I believe he is the NFL's all time leader in yards after the age of 30 and in this day an age of the pass it is impressive. EDIT: Once hitting 30 the guy has had 1557 carries for 6,297 yards and a 4.04 average. Yesterday was his 100th game during that time so even given that he is limited in some games, even with us, he's averaged 63 yards a game over that stretch...there is merit and worthy acknowledgement to that. However, his hall of fame status doesn't matter right now as much as his contribution has mean to this team. -
...just a stupid freak. When they signed him I thought it was great and was hoping he'd provide us with Kenny Davis type 600+ yards for the season...good times. In between, Shady gets cut and Singletary is out for a number of games...bad times. Except for this Godfather of Ground and Pound said "f*** that...get on my back" and he is currently 16th in the NFL in rushing (keep in mind we had a bye) with 388 yards and he is 12th in yards per carry for guys who have rushed 70 or more times. Not only is he one of only 4 men to rush for 15,000 career yards (known), but he is on pace this season to become the oldest player (36) in NFL history to run for 1,000 yards (did you know that? also waiting for that guy I'm missing who actually did it older than 36...but just stay with me on this joy ride). Of all the surprises this season, seeing the other teams DLines "Gored" by this man has been one of the most surprising. He needs 134 more yards in the next two games to pass Barry Sanders for third all time in front of Bills fans. I am hoping he does it, and I am hoping some of you feel the same way, unless you are one those "safe spacers" that doesn't think that it is right for Frank to get all those manly carries as it would hurt Devin's feelings. ...ahh, you see...I went political. My apologies. GO BILLS and GO FRANK...you freak.

Bruce Murray needs the Bills to go 1-9 for his preseason prediction to come true. -

Call me crazy, but I just plain think the Colts are better than the Bills. I know if they win the division what's the point, but I am just bringing it up because I don't think it will be a slug fest between Houston and Indy...Indy is just going to outright win it, unless something happens. As far as just team by team, Indy compared to the Bills, they are better coached and have a better QB. Not saying our guys aren't good, but right now I think Indy is up there with Baltimore as competing for the second best team in the conference, with a wait and see as far as when Mahomes comes back for KC. We are the 5th seed right now, and honestly, I think that is fairly accurate with the way this team is situated in the Conference. -
For a youngling you done right real good like. We ain’t much for fancy book learnin’ around these parts. Nice post, process, and it is frustrating. Either it is my imagination playing tricks on me, but I thought I saw someone else during highlights last night that threw for 300 and I thought “him?”.

Gunner, I know this is stupid, but please allow me this: I played the dolphins in Madden this weekend (even using the color rush uniforms!) and I was annoyed at how good the Madden development team made Miami’s TE. He was making circus catches and deep catches and made the game too close...even for a video game. ...sometimes, I guess, they know what they are doing with players.

Every TE on our team pales in comparison to Miami’s TE. that kid is going to be a problem.
