I know this is the only game and i know it is on Thanksgiving, but I just don't get the prime time vibe as it is not in prime time. Who knows, may be something little like that...just the fact that it is a 4:30 game might help. However, I would just assume that they would be super motivated to prove themselves on the national stage.

I will ride the joy of this season right now as much I can over this increasingly difficult schedule. Because right now we are not 9-6 going into week 17. We are not PO'd because the Pats embarrassed us at their place, and we aren't etc., etc. The Bills are 8-3 and the DIVISION IS STILL OUT THERE AND IF THE PATS STUB THEIR TOE AGAINST KC AND WE TAKE CARE OF ALL OF OUR BUSINESS FROM NOW UNTIL THEN WE ARE PLAYING FOR BOTH THE DIVISION LEAD AND HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE THROUGHOUT THE PLAYOFFS WHEN WE MEET THEM IN LATE DECEMBER. Years since we could say that this late in the season...and I feel just young enough nowadays to cheer for it.

I loved watching him during that season. May I just add something: on the lead up to this game on Thursday I am so hopefully that I believe I have the optimism of my 12 year old self. ...I was pretty positive little dude at 12.

Through 11 games Allen has 15 passing TDs, to go with 7 rushing TDs. Not hard to figure out that if he keeps up this pace he'll finish with 32 total TDs. I believe the franchise record is 34 by Jim Kelly in 1991 (33 passing, 1 rushing). It is the only time Kelly did it. The thing is in checking this out it is the only time any Bills QB has been at 30 or over TDs. Unless I am missing something it hasn't ever happened, before or since. Even in Ferguson, Bledsoe and I think Fitzy years of 24 or so TD passes (there was a 25 in there, too), I don't believe any of them had 5-6 rushing TDs in a season to get to 30. I know this is just an individual player stat, and not necessarily a so sexy one as it includes rushing TDs, but still I just really found it kind of interesting. Even with some hick-ups he should really hit 30. On the other side of it I don't think it is crazy to think he has chance at possibly tying or even surpassing Kelly, albeit that would be a lot, but hey it would mean nice things for the way these last 5 games play out. Not bad for a second season. Go Allen, Go Bills!

I didn’t read through this entire thread To see if any one posted this. although this regime was the one that cut him I remembering reading articles where McDermott and staff were quoted about being very impressed with his work ethic. it has been a tough road for him after his issues in college, but I like seeing that the kid got some years in, and some money out of, the nfl.

Joe, even in the best light given the above he only comes close. First, do I want him to do what you are saying? Hell yes, and I will take that! are you kidding, 25 tds...GREAT. However, you are going right to my very point...that is WE NEED HIM TO DO THAT FOR THE REST OF THE YEAR AGAINST TOUGHER COMPETITION. We are on the same page! Secondly, if he does that, and doesn't throw ANY picks for the rest of the season he ends up at 48-26, with Rushing TDs. It isn't the same as 52-19 (55-19 with Wilson's rushing TDS)...but this is all tangential to the main point. Hypothetically and out of thin air not based on too much...If the Bills go 3-3 and Allen has 10 tds and 4 picks and generally looks good, I am probably good with that, especially if 10-6 gets them in the playoffs. Before the season I may have thrown out 24 tds and 14 picks as a goal for him, with 30 tds total as a nice progression. The above scenario: 23 passing tds, 13 picks and lets throw on at least 1 more rushing tds for 32 tds total...I love it. ...but give me your numbers, which I think aren't just good but significant. Give me 12 tds, maybe just 2 picks and 4-2 with an upset victory on his shoulders and damn...25 tds, 9 picks, 34 tds total and 11-5...Joe HE IS that franchise QB then. Wilson IS at a differently level right now, but respectfully the guy threw 52 TDs in his first 2 seasons, with 19 picks and a QBR of over 100. That is for both seasons. He stat line is very similar (26-10 year 1 with a 100 rating and 26-9 year 2 with a 101.2 rating). I have yet to attach "sub par" with any post here that I have made. He also is more advanced than what even I though he would be at this point, too. I am with you on that. However, I want more. We need more. Other guys are doing more. The guys who aren't doing more, Rosen and Darnold, I don't give a crap about. I want Allen to progress as much as he can and as quickly as he can to keep up with the Jackson's of this League as well as the Mahomes'. Please, I just ask you to note what I am writing and not trying to read between the lines. I am not disappointed with Allen, but I want to see more and with the way the League is I am asking, and hoping, to see more. After Miami, game 1, the first seeds of doubt entered my thoughts. however, he has been much better... ...but I want him to be great...consistently...and soon. Because he'll need to be.
