  1. Doesn't it make it better, story wise, that at first he didn't want to, and didn't sign here? How do you finish the regular season story...get him 3 more td passes and let this season (with the additional yards) be his career best for receptions, tds and yards.
  2. Sorry if already posted and sorry if I am wrong, but I thought Flutie beat the cardinals on Sunday night in either 98 or 99.
  3. The Force is strong with this one.
  4. I did a laugh emoji, but I wish I could also do a thumbs up one, too.
  5. Oh, maybe House, but "2 Point Dogs" is a great band name.
  6. I am absolutely not suggesting that. I am suggesting that history gets fuzzy as time goes by and some people think that such an event was a routine experience as a Bills fan. It was not. It was rare and special. I believe Thurman may (may) have just had one, that Monday night game against the Jets. Greg Bell had one too....against Dallas when the Bills didn't have a win yet, late in the season...84, I think. I was there. EDIT: use of the word "only" doesn't insinuate an insult, just that such results were limited. Edit 2: @mannc Thank you for pointing out the above so I could clarify. I don't want there to be any confusion for what I was trying to say, which I should have expanded upon originally.
  7. BTW, and I am honestly going off memory from the history of the Bills in team guides I used to look at as I was just a doe-eyed young lad in the 70s, that Bills team that finished an unfortunate 8-6 started the season at 4-0 and 6-2...they let the playoffs just slip away after that and that was it for Lou, the Bills and OJ, really until Knox's Bills. OJ was truly one of the greatest RBs, but with dneveu's reference above, and recent thoughts on OJ's record setting 273 yards rushing for on Thanksgiving's Day shows 2 out of the only 6 times that OJ rushed for 200 yards. The more you know!
  8. You are a treasure, Sir. Stay gold, Pony Boy! Elect SDS President...make HUDS King!* * No payment was made by HUDS to Dollars 2 Donuts for the praise and admiration indicated above. D2D is just a fan.
  9. My parents were upstairs in bed. I was watching the game alone. I was excited about the turn of events and what it meant for the Bills and then I just remember being stunned.
  10. Can't call it hindsight when many of us thought Mack was just plain going to be the pick.
  11. HUDS, it was the great Mahatma Gandhi who once said of the Patriots, "Those guys suck...I'm mean they really do, right?!" It's not in the movie, you don't have to check.
  12. Damn straight we are going to win BA! ...whew...feels good to get that one out there , brother! BA, side note: What is Atlanta thinking about with respect to the Falcons?
  13. A lot, NHK, but man we know this is Pittsburgh...are their fans giving up tickets? So much better if this Steelers team was 5-8 right now, but this just makes this whole season more exacting. Full Disclosure: a buddy of mine invited me to go with him to the game, but work and family just makes it impossible. @NoHuddleKelly12 I've actually been using the "Any Given Sunday" equation/calculator. It is not a full proof computation, but sometimes the resulting figures have been advantageous to football teams named "Bills" and some college basketball teams named "Wolfpack" and "Wildcats"....albeit it helps when you have Italian coaches in basketball.
  14. HUDS, just two or three times. If they can bull rush Josh and on 2 or 3 occasions he makes them pay for it, the story starts to change on what you do against him.
  15. I absolutely, positively won't get my hopes up...after the games are over. For now, it is a long off season and we are STILL in the middle of this thing. Too bad Fitzy has no experience beating the Patriots... ...oh...wait...
  16. Yes. I mean really, jrb, facts are facts even if the QB is in question...we need only to look a little look at Josh in Dallas (i know, different team, but still) and josh yesterday. ...and yes, high tide raises all ships, but I just want what we have here with this team and this franchise to keep growing. It still could influence many possible free agents and coaches going forward.
  17. Change accepted and noted. Yeah, true, but I also think a little help around him would have helped him. Very tangential note here...sorry guys, I am really starting to lead towards a dome. I know it is expensive, but it really does change a lot of things for this team going forward.
  18. Who'd have thought? Sorry if this is a short and meaningless thread. Mods, please lock if you feel it necessary, but it's just I love thinking about this...not to get ahead. I think this gives the Steelers game as much meaning on the national stage, as well, that we could have hoped for. It is more than the Bills are just trying to win and in, and the Steelers are playing for the their playoff lives...a division in football is on the line here and for the first time in eons it is the AFC East. Go Bills! Oh...and once again into the breach for Buffalo...Go Bengals and Go Fitzy!
  19. yeah, why the **** not? After a strong performance yesterday (with some hiccups) against the best team in the league I am going all in on Hope, alas Princess Leia. She could fly through space, you know. Then she died in real life...very sad. Still believing, though, that one of those teams might be able to pull an upset. Go Fitzmajic!
  20. I want to answer, but you only asked Tiger. ?
  21. So, so good yesterday. I wish things would have played out differently, but honestly I am no overly upset or disappointed in yesterday's game. Less drops please and some better play calling, but that is it. We can hang...with anybody.
  22. Steve, absolutely nothing wrong with not loving Buffalo and liking every place else better. ...people are still missing my point...why is it so casual and routine to dis this place, without any thought that you're kind of being a jerk when you do it on regional or national raido or tv?
  23. ? i hear ya, brother. And please, let me stress, I don’t think we should ever talk like that. I’m just saying when you hear about another city...it just sounds silly even to bring up when you are talking sports.
  24. Its proposed...it’s not very good, but it is locale, not insulting, and goes directly to a comment about the team or the game and not the city.
  25. I just put in something as an example. No true wives or significant others were harmed, derided or intentionally disparaged in this thread...only place holder examples.
