  1. We're fairly close on the family thing... both of my parents were married twice, both of my two brothers were also married twice and so was I. The only one in the family that was married only once was my sister. It makes a big difference if you find the right one though... I've been with this one for 48 years now and we've been married for 43 of them. I swore I'd never get married again after the first one but after dating my present wife for a couple of months I found out that some of them aren't moronic lunatics!
  2. Are you really that stupid or have you just spent your entire life in a snow-free environment like your son? "No unnecessary travel" is pretty much self-explanatory... it means don't go out on the roads unless it's necessary. If the big wheels want to create a "travel ban" due to the weather then that means there's no driving at all... anywhere... for any reason! A "travel ban" would mean you could get arrested for driving to work... "no unnecessary travel" means stay off of the roads unless you have a valid reason to be on them... as in going to or from work! I spent 18 years of my life as a Professional Truck Driver running the entire east coast from Maine to Miami... anywhere east of the Mississippi river actually... and both of those meanings meant exactly the same thing in every state I've ever driven through. Strike 3 Dude... I'm done attempting to educate you!
  3. I call this more of your bullsh*t that's what I call it. My cousin lives on a southwestern suburb of the city (Norfleet) and he drove to work in a northeastern suburb of the city (Bradfordville) and back home EVERY SINGLE DAY! He said they were "advising no unnecessary travel" but there was never a travel ban. So here you go again with some more of your sky is falling crap... nobody... including the "local government"... EVER said people had to stay off the roads! That's strike 2 Dude... ya got one left... swing for the fence!
  4. You need to figure out which side of your mouth to talk out of then Dude! In the first chapter you said TALLAHASSEE was snowed in for a week... now in this chapter of the story it's just the school was closed for a week? There's a mighty big difference between a city being "snowed in" and a school being closed... but I'm sure you were well aware of that when you were letting us all know about the sky falling. Your son is a lifetime Floridian... that's why he couldn't go anywhere. My cousin is originally from western NY and he had zero problems getting around in the entire Tallahassee area including a nine mile drive each way to work and back home again every single day ! It's no wonder I've seen so many people in this thread tell you that you have no clue what you're talking about!
  5. Wow... snowed in for a week? Talk about some extreme exaggerations! Tallahassee must be one heluva HUGE city... I also have family there and spoke with them a couple of times that week and they weren't "snowed in" for even a day let alone a week in the part of Tallahassee that they live! He said it was tough getting around but being from western NY originally he didn't have any problems at all... it was the morons that had never seen snow before that were causing the problems.
  6. Looks staged to me. Whatever that little wad was that he finally hurled out onto the hood of the car didn't look big enough to block his airway. Also... there were a lot of vehicles going by and it's a bit strange that none of them would stop to help what looks like some young Dude wrestling with a cop. Edit: I guess there were only two vehicles that went by... thought I saw more than that the first time I watched it.
  7. 43 years married plus we "lived in sin" for 5 years before getting married so we've been together for 48 years total. It's kinda funny... my wife's mother wasn't real happy about the living together thing for quite a while and then at the dinner table on Thanksgiving day a few years after we were married she said looking back at all of their friend's kids that had gotten divorced after a short marriage that maybe that living together first thing might not be such a bad idea after all. I guess I should add that I was married for 7 torturous years to my high school sweetheart starting not long after graduating high school before stumbling across the real woman I'm happily married to now!
  8. I'll definitely be trying that out... there's a spot for the bag right next to the bottle of "Gentleman Jack" I keep on the freezer door.
  9. Two pages and nobody even gave an honorable mention to York Peppermint Patties yet? When I open up a fresh bag of those bad-boys I always stuff my nose right inside the bag and hyperventilate for a while... it's the ultimate peppermint rush :)
  10. Don't feel like you're alone Dude! Somewhere during the 3rd quarter I considered contacting ANY team looking for a new coach to beg them to take Brady!
  11. Okie-Dokie... in the first chapter you used an old computer you were getting rid of... now I see "we performed these tests with our computers." Can't wait to see the next chapter.
  12. Being a retired Systems Administrator for a large (unnamed) corporation employing over a thousand users with computers and servers at all six locations in different cities on the east coast... I ain't swallowin one drop of this "story" either. Not all of us were born yesterday or fell off of a turnip truck my friend.
  13. Trust me... you're not swaying my opinion in the least. I spent 23 years in corporate IT specializing in security for 6 years before retiring and your story sounds pretty... well I'll just say... hard for me to swallow.
  14. Well if this is the same TikTok that's being banned in the US all I can say is bye-bye and don't let the door hit you in the a$$ on the way out!
  15. I'd be very interested to know how you did this testing and which product(s) "invited more virus issues." I'm not quite sure what a "virus issue" would consist of actually so you've got my interest piqued here.
  16. I don't live far from Brockport and I've gone by that place hundreds of times and never really knew what it was. The wife and I have dinner pretty regularly at a place just north of the canal and I can't WAIT for that damned bridge to re-open!
  17. Being a retired IT Guy I've built a LOT of computers for friends & family over the past 30 years and every single one of them left my bench with a "Trend Micro Internet Security" program on it. It's not widely advertised as the bulk of their sales relies on corporate systems but their Home & Small Office Suites are just as tight as their corporate suites. You'd have to guess that all of those friends & family that I built systems for always called me first when ANY little hiccup occurred and not one of them ever got a virus. I had several calls over the years telling me that they saw a message that an infection was attempted but caught and stopped but not a single one of them were ever infected. Just a note if anybody's interested in checking into it... Trend Micro is the name of the company and they have several different "flavors" of internet security programs at different prices. I'd highly suggest "Trend Micro Maximum Security" myself... that's what I'm running now and have been since my first computer back in 1993.
  18. Mr. Baseball also holds the record for the most appearances on Carson being one of Johnny's guests over 100 times over the years... and every single time he was on there he'd have Caron in stitches! When Carson was asked who his favorite guest was during an interview after he retired he immediately replied with no hesitation... Bob Uecker. RIP Mr. Baseball
  19. No... it's not "significant" and we're talking about the outcome of football games here. Comparing that to an election is a bit bizarre but regardless 60% is still barely more than half. Certainly far from what a normal non-exaggerating type of person would consider a "pummeling"!
  20. Looks a LOT more like Ray Romano to me.
  21. After that immediate score by Denver and then zero pressure on Nix during their second drive I stopped watching the game and went about doing some stuff in the office where I couldn't even hear the TV. The wife came out and told me it was safe to come back in near the end of the third quarter. You're welcome!
  22. Huh... kinda strange that only a few people didn't recognize this as sarcasm while the overall majority pegged it coming out the door. Maybe you could invent a sarcasm font in your spare time if it bothers you that much?
  23. Ummmmm no we're not... Baltimore is coming HERE!
  24. I've read numerous posts by you and not one single time in ANY of your posts does it sound even remotely close to you "rooting for him"! Doesn't your jaw get really tired from talking out of both sides of your mouth so much?
  25. Almost 60% is just a tad over half... certainly not what I'd consider a "pummeling".
