It's quite sad really. There's been a clear philosophy to buliding this team, I think. But it just hasn't worked has it.
The annoying thing is that the philosophy, far as I can see, simply hasn't taken having an MVP QB into account. It's almost like they've designed a system for a middling franchise to get to the playoffs. And - were it that - it would be fine; brilliant even. With an average QB, the running game and everybody eats idea might have worked. With extra cap room available for genuine DBs, the Bernard focus might have worked in D.
But it just feels that the hard work - the having Josh Allen - was already done. And when you have a a gift like that, you don't need to over think the rest.
It feels that now the experiment is a failure. We've gone backwards and the momentum has been lost
Part of sport I think. But this is a sad one. Our game should have been built around Josh being a superstar and instead we've clipped his wings - while paying him superstar money - to create very little aside from an improved running game.
Injuries unhelpful. But everyone has those..
