Neither here nor there since our first pick is 24 deep. That list will be much smaller by then. Then we go from 62 to 109.

If they draft WR in the 2nd that player gets what? 20% of snaps? Josh needs more because we have to score 40 + to win? A Safety won't be starting and in the meantime we're gonna wait til after week 6 to get Hoecht and the equivalent of Austin Johnson for the Dline. Hope Joey makes it to week 6. Not to mention hanging on to DQ one year too long like Star. Will Hairston actually start?...not get hurt or potentially lose out to a 4th rounder? Hell Elam was picked 7 spots higher in a trade up.

If they're lucky 2nd tier at best. Their first selection today is what no. 24?

I'm still for trading next year's 30-32 pick to Seattle for 52 and 82. They have 2 picks in both rounds and may want to have that 2nd first next year in case Darnold turtles. I've gotten slammed for this before, but after last night, I don't care how stupid anyone thinks it is. That gives us... 52 56 62 82 109 132 Then our 5th and 6th rounders can do more to move around a little. I have little faith and I think last night was 50% a pride pick in that McBeane wanted to prove themselves that the Elam pick wasn't poor evaluation, selection, but just a weird fate. Look at Philly's Defense and where those guys were drafted. That's what separates champs from the rest.

Hopefully our 1st rd. pick can cover for ten seconds....

Well hopefully they can find another Benford later. They will probably need to. -

Massive liability in run support? Poor open field tackling? Shoulder injury? Needs to prove he can hold up to the rigors of the NFL? Good job. Won't be starting day 1. Awesome -
YEP might as well trade down. I guess d line ain't as important as we thought.

Trade to 55 from 62. Two picks in a row would be great. -

Landon Jackson is an AZ. kid... -
I wish the TV and WGR would be synched. A lot of times i'd rather mute the TV.

I'd be happy to get 2 Dline guys Porter and Thornton. I think the Frazier / Parrish / Alexander etc. types will be just as good. Also speed WRs later too. Fix the damn Dline first. -
It will be such a drag if Beane trades down.....

I agree and picking Grant is fine by me. But, I think Harmon gives the best of both, besides we could / can pick 3 1Ts later. I'm wondering how many guys are playing the position at 330+ anyway. -
Gonzo Mock Draft Version 3.0 Final Version( Starts on Page 7)

I'm sorry but my gut is telling me Amos meh. Arm tackler, Poor eye discipline/ doesn't turn head around for ball, can get beat in foot race, rated rd.2 etc. Do we get through camp and still elect a vet to start instead? Nope can't take that chance with 1st pick. Gimme Harmon or Scournton. -

Harmon is only a big mac smaller than Jones and Jones is his NFL.com comp., except he is more versatile. -

I think he's gonna be better. Listening to Beane, I feel the same with rather having a guy that can be both but has pass rush ability...that has been proven with his college stats and accolades. He's ranked DL 2 for a reason and him and Ed together on passing downs? I just feel we can find a 1T later, but not gonna find an equal talent to Nolen later. I'd rather have Nolen and Tyliek vs. Grant and ..... I won't mind at all if Grant is the pick, I have the same name, but since we'll be double dipping I want the DT who can also be a sack artist. Also, IMO Oliver is over rated as much as I like him he is what he is. -

I'd bet money Cincy takes Harmon. If I were to trade up to 24 , it'd be for Nolen who I believe was beaten for the Outland Trophy by Mason Graham and is position ranked as no, 2 DT. I'd rather take the versatile disruption over the traditional 1T first. Yahoo sports has these 2 gone by I think 22. yep -
TSW 3.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #26
nosejob replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not a fan of moving down, but the more I look at player overall ranking, the more likely it seems that we won't get a sniff of Grant , Harmon or Nolen. ie. Cincy will for sure take 1. All seemed to be graded to go by early 20s. -
Lol, your're right about all of this. I can't see Nolan getting past KC or Philly. This is the only way I do not get DT 1st. very good draft

I would also make this trade for Nolen if the other 2 are gone. Too many accolades to mention including finalist for Outland trophy award. (nation's top lineman.) Oozes the interior pass rush and past production Beane wants. -

I def. think he's worth drafting. Hopefully in the 4th. Even if we get one of those end of 3rd picks. Basketball background 7' wingspan. The Bills training staff could really turn him into a monster and showcase his athleticism. BTW, the only GR opines that I can align with are Tasker and Browns. -

I gotta go with the day 1 starter. Harmon He was a junior, he's from Detroit so good to go with Buffalo and has been referred to as a young but bigger Cam Hayward. Will probably be 3 down starter who can play up and down and pass rush will just get better. One problem checked off. -
We can't afford to pick DE high to only play 2 downs this year...unless they feel it's a slam dunk he'll be a 3 down player next year.
-
I hope they get a deal done....but Beane has to know now what's likely to happen so he can decide what to do should a draft day opportunity come up. That means talking to coaches and players and finding out where his head's truly at. Does he hate living here? Wanna play close to home and family? Is he unreasonable with expectations? What do his team mates think of him? Plus Beane knows him and the agent personally. I'm sure he's done dug up all the dirt.
