I used to go into a small bar where I grew up south of Buffalo (in the 70s when you could get served at 16) and loved the 10 cent wings and 50 cent Cream ale drafts. In the mid 80's when I lived near West Palm beach I was at a bar and the bar maid never heard of them. I taught her how to make em with the Blue cheese dressing and then every one there wanted them. (No Franks there then so Tabasco, butter and a touch of garlic powder). She wasn't happy to be that busy that afternoon, but I'm sure she made some very good tips. Don't know if it caught on right then cause I was only there once, but I felt like I did a public service.

So on that note, I did hear Beane touch on Ed's cap hit and believe he will work it a little somehow and Oliver stays. Look at who he's played next to ( no DT1 consistently) and who his D.C. was. He's going into a contract year and with some stability next to him,( hopefully Phillips ), we should be able to expect a better year. Unless Beane can get a trade with the Bears or Texans and pick up some good, at the top of rounds picks, I'm fine with keeping him. Just look at some of those other contracts. I'm not happy with Settle so to me there's already a hole.

I believe the guys we have will be much improved with McD running the D. I believe we'll see some freshness to it. We'll have to wait and hope for good additions and for our younger guys to make progress. ie Bernard and Spector with some conditioning and an off season experience. Elam, Benford, Shakir. I really think there will be some pleasant surprises.

Man nothing aggravates me more than seeing RBs mocked to us in rd. one.

Let's not forget Frazier is gone. McD said he wants to get more aggressive with and edge. I think he will use a lot more 4-3 and blitz some more. Different scheming and play calling with what we have could make a pretty good upgrade to our defense alone. I'd be happy with one of the top 3 LBs at 27, but they very well may not make it there. This board will implode when he takes the DT from Pitt who projects as the next Aaron Donald....but I wouldn't complain.
