I suspect the hold up with trading Mayfield has been that the Browns have not dropped their asking price - the combination of eating salary and draft pick compensation - enough. I think they’re hoping they get a desperate team. I see the logic. There really isn’t much risk to holding onto him for a bit. Heck, there’s still the chance that Mayfield’s emotions get the best of him and they wind up not owing him anything.
Well I feel Baker is a good enough QB to take a team deep into the playoffs. To me he looked like money against KC...until KC couldn't be stopped. If he has to suck it up and play hopefully he'll have Stephanski (sp?) on his side.
I really feel bad for Baker.....signed, Carson Palmer, Tim couch and Akili Smith.

I don't see why some team can't give a later rd. pick and get the Browns to eat at least 75% of Baker's 18 mil.
If I were planning on Davis Mills or say...Winston, I'd be thinking of pulling this off before Wadson gets suspended.
I'd think someone would at least try it. What's gonna happen if Baker has ( get's forced) to play when supposedly he lost the locker room?
Enter the Hoodie...

LOL, 3 time losing SB QB....One more loss and he will join the truly elite.

Love Boogie, he made plays every time he was on the field.
That said, there was tons of optimism and hype around AJ last year too, and we know how that turned out. At least Boogie has had multiple moments on the field.Everybody seems to be bashing A.J. I would first consider just how many snaps he had last year and then I would replay the hit on Tua which was probably the best QB hit of the entire season. He...at least to me seems very fast and with the vet leadership, I'm willing to bet the tune changes a bit this year.

No doubt there are other teams who will pay Bradberry more than the Bills will. Bills aren’t giving a CB more than a 1 year deal for a couple million. A guy like Haden makes the most sense.
I heard on the radio that the Chiefs are interested and odds are good that's where he'll end up. Seems like they have an unlimited cap. Anyway, I wouldn't mind seeing McD kick the tires on Kevin King UFA Packers. He was the 33rd overall pick in 2017. 6'3 200. played both safety and cb in college with plenty of accolades. He turned 27 last week.
He has dealt with injuries and unstable, inadequate coaching. With our training facilities and McD's Gurutorship, maybe he could turn into something. One year vet min should easily get it done.

Spencer Brown. If he can anchor the right side of the line and be a force in pass protection, we’ll be unstoppable.
I think he's gonna be very good as long as he stays healthy.

tremaine edmunds
i'm expecting him to be bills MOST IMPROVED player
#1 - these new DL will keep him clean
#2- these new DL will allow frazier to change edmunds TWO gap responsibility scheme down to 1 gap......eliminating him picking the wrong hole or the RB cutting back into the one he's not
#3- it's a contract year for him
(he's still young and the bills are playing him out of position.....hes not a thumping MLB)
That's for damn sure. ESPN stats: 70 solo tackles ( tied for 28th) 4 passes defended 1 int.( 108th). That's it.
That includes playoffs. CBSSports.com has complete game by game breakdown. IMO there's no way he's worth 12.7 this year and will likely be gone next year. It's been 4 yrs.
I'm willing to bet if we put Bernard out there, he'd put up better production. That 12.7 could get us (just as an example), a Quinton Spain, A.J. Klein and a vet CB.
Conversely K.C. 2nd rd. pick (rookie) Nick Bolton basically had identical stats. and stood out to me in the playoff game.

Please bear with me. I've been a fan since Dec. 1973 and was on the bbmb then here until a couple of years ago. I have been reading all along and decided to get back into the water.

NFLdraftbuzz.com. if I remember correctly had him position ranked as the no. 2 TE in the draft behind Trey McBride.....for real.
This guy is gonna be a killer TE. If Howard gets hurt again, I don't think we'll miss a beat. Keep an eye on him this summer.

YOUR NFL GM VS. AUTODRAFT
Ever wondered what would happen if your favorite team just went into the draft without doing any independent research, without studying hours of tape, or even listening to team scouts? Well, after many years of watching NFL teams making numerous questionable ‘reaches’ in the draft, and totally ignoring the prevailing wisdom - we decided to re-examine all your team’s drafts over the last ten years.
The results are (sometimes) interesting – but what it really does show, is that on the whole - NFL teams would have done better by putting their feet up and just switching on autodraft.
Take a look, we have every team's draft since 2011 rated.Player Rankings - Tight Ends

I couldn't agree more. My 2nd concern would be starting MLB and my 3rd would be expecting Taron Johnson to tackle Henry, Taylor and any other big back. Hopefully, they'll have enough sense to go 4-3 and adjust to individual opponents.
