Leslie Frazier expected to be "in the mix" for Broncos HC job
nosejob replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think his best fit would be the Bears. He can rebrand himself and be the Sage in building a new Bears Defense. They can market the heck out of new takes on Monsters of the midway. Sell seats and merch. He could prove he's the guru and not just marching to someone else's philosophy. The Bears will be going all out to build their D this year. I haven't looked at the coaching situation, just think that would be the best scenario and probably the only chance he would have. -
They gonna win....cause I said so....Vicky Valencourt.(sp?)
-
We need this win! Then wrap it up at home. Let WC weekend work itself out. Playoffs thru Buffalo is all that matters.
-
I was not aware of the numbers.... so screw him.
-
All he needs is a contract worth a couple of years and at least 20 mil. guaranteed. He's gotta be smart enough to somehow finish out this year without getting hurt. A lingering concussion issue will kill that. A lot of us have had back breaking jobs and worked through pain to bring home a check only to have that haunt us years later....or surgeries forcing a change of careers. I just don't think he'll have that wisdom until it's too late....and unfortunately, the bosses never care. He can be replaced. Just win baby. Get the job done to save the bosses ass.
-
Whether or not he plays, they are still gonna lose to the Pats. If he clears and plays, that's not a good look for the staff in Miami. All the media I've seen (ESPN) crew say it's irresponsible for his future. I get it, he wants that contract money, but if he goes out with another his worth (and his leverage), is cut in half. Look at it this way, if they get one more win, they're likely in anyway. I would hold him out this week and gamble on the win against NY.

I think priority 1 is finding Morse's future replacement. If he doesn't retire to avoid permanent disability, I would be happy for one more year, but we gotta have a top notch center, hopefully in the draft to back him up when he misses time. The other high pick should be Saffold's replacement. Add one quality FA. I also hope we can find a WR like Chase instead of paying 20 per to a FA. But don't forget where our draft spot will be....in each round. I think this is the year for Beane to trade up to secure high quality picks at least in the 1st 4 rounds and I don't care if he uses some of next year's to do it.

Duly noted, but I think this Miami loss is going to bother Tua and get his head messed up and he'll face a Defense more aggressive than yesterday. The weather shouldn't be a factor, but I got a feelin the hoodie's gonna make it a bad day for the fish.

It will happen. I think

I predicted GB 24-20 yesterday and I'm going 21-17 Pats over the Fins. Also K.C will drop one of the last 2. Nothing really matters if we don't beat Cincy, unless we still hold a tie breaker over K.C..... and if we get the bye nobody knows who will survive the WC round. If the Jets win out and we face them, we should scare White to death with a billboard sign with him on it for ECMC....LOL Either way it will be AFCE WC team against K.C or Cincy. Probably Jax vs. Ravens?.....assuming we get the bye. Then again, it could be Bolts, Ravens and Titans....IDK
-
Man can't GB give that RG some help?
-
I'd rather get the Ravens.
-
I think with the salary cap raise, he'll cook something up. Unfortunately, our biggest need may be at center.
-
I guarantee Beane will build an Oline to handle the Fins and Jets this off season....ok , I'm assuming.
-
Well, there's that.....
-
I feel sorry for Rogers. Year after year they've failed to give him a stable of WRs....like Mcnabb. On another note, if he had a couple more stones, there's plenty of holes in front of him to scramble a bit.
-
He needs a poke in the Adams apple so he'll throw a punch and get ejected. Ok, that might be a little much, maybe a poke in the eye would suffice. I don't like that Mofo. I bet Wilfork is his Idol.
-
I think the GB defense is under rated. They could end up giving Tua trouble. GB 24-20

I stand guilty of No. 49 ilk as well as pumping for a younger, more aggressive D.C., but we're 11-3, so for now I'll shut the Hell up. edit: Until or unless, Fields carries T.J. on his back or Tremaine is cleaning up tackles 10 yds downfield. I hope Josh doesn't have to do this alone, but if so...12-3. edit again: Cause I've been out of power and it's brutal,( now it's back and I've indulged....errr, chilled out), I believe they really have to tune up a 4-3 so they can use it when they need to. Play Klein and rotate blitzing LBs. You not only stop the run, (they don't know where it's coming from), create TFLs, sacks and most importantly, contain the QB. This can't be done with rush fo or drop everyone into coverage. It's the Bears, stomp the line and give Fields the Mike White treatment. Dismissed!

You almost had me at skip right on past. But I agree with moving Dion inside. we need inside help as well, if not more a center. Morse, I don't think is really gonna last much longer. I thought Brown would expand on attitude, but he sure as Hell gave me one several times when he looked like he just woke up from a nap. No bong on game day dude. I posted elsewhere about the top 20 Oline guys in the senior bowl with NFL comparisons on NFL.com by Chad Rueter. Picking late I'm guessing Voorhees or Torrence, but nobody knows what McBeane will do with free agents.....which makes it anyone's guess, so skip right on past.
-
Chad Reuter had a good write up on NFL.com where he took the top 20 Senior Bowl prospects with short Bios and NFL comparisons. Plenty of Oline prospects to ponder. I wouldn't be surprised with Torrence and Voorhees from USC. Maybe we can bring Teller back with a late rounder since Browns need picks, maybe Nelson? I'm sure Beane knows he needs to build this line.

Frazier & McD's defensive strategies a potential postseason liability

Lead the league in sacks IIRC. -

Playing 4-3 allows for more success at....TFLs, stopping the run vs. depending on tackling on the 2nd level against guards and tackles...and depending on T.J. to handle bigger backs with a head of steam, which has hurt us. It also allows a spy on mobile QBs and the ability to disguise rotating LB blitzes. Giving up 200 yds. a game is gonna bite us in the ass, because in the playoffs it's one and done. Klein made the game saving stop in Detroit and like Milano is a good blitzer. On another note I don't understand not even trying to play press and knocking the timing out of receivers within the five yds. it's allowed. Playing 10 yds. deep in zone and expecting to cover a Hill or Waddle etc. is mind boggling since press will help the front four and help generate hurried or errant throws. I get the merits of Nickel and zone, but not being able to do both does not make an elite Defense. All that being said, we need new aggressive blood on D. -
I don't know why Alec Anderson isn't getting a practice look with the ones.
