I think they played press man well last week and was happily surprised to see it. Tre and Elam can do it and if they can knock Chase and Boyd or Higgins off their routes in the 1st 5 yds, that could have a great effect on Burrow's timing and maybe our front 4 getting home. We cannot afford to play soft zone and just rush 4. We will get picked apart. On the upside, I'm actually less nervous than I was last week. It's a weird sense of calm. I paid zero attention to the point spread. I knew it was foolish.

We need him NOW. Put a brace on him, shoot him up and give him a couple of shots of JD. He started missing time with weeks 3 and 4. Since week 13 he played once with one tackle against the Bears. If his shoulder was such a nagging issue, why didn't they IR him and get it healed? Now Jones is gimpy and while Settle is an ok guy, Eli, is no replacement for J.P. I get so sick of hearing...If you blitz Burrow, he'll kill ya. Well I'll take that bet. We don't have to send T.J. or a corner. We can alternate Edmunds, Milano and A.J on early downs, get them in 3rd and long. They'll never know whose coming.... and send Neal or T.J. or whatever on 3rd if need be. Hell put Boogie or Shaq on the inside and run a 5-2-4. But for Godsake don't run that stale old ass rush four 1990 defense and give Burrow all day. (especially if you're playing Eli). This game screams defensive scheming. Give Burrow the Mike White treatment. Take the 15, IDGAF. Punish! BTW, it was great to see them finally playing some press man. Tre did good at that. I agree. I hope we look like we did against the Titans. My biggest hope is not being afraid to attack on defense. My biggest hat throwing, remote throwing, shot drinking, floor stomping cussing tirades come after successful blitzes only to give a QB all day long to complete a 3rd and long.

I have zero problems with Josh....zero. I just wish they would incorporate hitting those check downs once in a while. As a lay person watching the game on TV, it's not uncommon to see a back wide open on the top of the screen only to see Josh ignore it until it's too late. I would like to see a mix of those quick hits and YAC. He's gotta pull the trigger on those once in a while instead of waiting to get in trouble. ....especially when we're in FG range. Dicking around and taking sacks to back us up will kill us...as well as going for a 4th and short when we could have 3 points in the bag. I love the guy, but sometimes moving the chains is more important than trying to squeeze 5 seconds or more of pass pro out of this Oline.

Tony Romo is getting to be enough for me not to watch. I wish the radio broadcast wasn't a play ahead of the TV. I would much rather listen to Murph( praying for him) or Brownand Eric. Or a good time for me to step out into the garage and cuss my brains out.

I think this is the biggest myth ever or at the very least a cover for a stubborn old D.C. The Bengals will blitz like crazy and we could see another 7 sacks and possibly a fumble /int...or 2 and we will only rush 4 and get picked apart. Letting Skyler Thompson put up 31 doesn't give me much hope facing Burrow. Seems like every time we blitz we have success. Sure would be nice to see it called on 3rd and longs, or a hell of a lot more than it is.

I know this isn't the right thread but Jordan Phillips questionable? We may in fact have to draft that spot high. I mean he's been the most unreliable while being the biggest hope we had at that spot. It's really bumming me out. He won't be here next year....and that sucks, but it just ain't working out.
