I believe as of the Browns game, we were no.2 in the league in allowing the longest drives. Refusing to blitz is maddening. Hopefully after McD's convo with Frazier on the sideline during the Browns game things will change in terms of pass rush. Having starters out makes an extra rusher a no brainer.

IMO, the Hoodie's gonna try to find success by either...getting another performance from Jones like Thursday's, or run over Taron Johnson all day if the Bills are gonna commit to nickle. (see also last year). If Edmunds is in they need to run a 4-3 and rotate blitzing a LB on every play....unless it's 3rd and long and they want to send Johnson. The main point being that they need to lay the wood to Alfred E. Jones and get him all red in the face and such right off the bat. A.J. Klein is gonna end up saving our butts at points. I am so glad he's back. They should be able to play man with safety help on Parker.

Well if anyone watched the last couple of games of us making the QBs look like Brady and Manning, I think the answer is obvious. We play teams with one good receiver and they get damn near 200 yds....ummm yeah, I would guess dialing up some pressure would be in order. As a matter of fact, I think this subject may have been covered.

I like Mike Love. I believe he can bring some speed. May not hurt to have Zimmer in the rotate either.

i wouldn't be surprised if at some time they take a look at Alec Anderson at RG. They said during camp and pre season that he doesn't lose his matchups. 6'5 310?

I think...IMO, that when you have rookies and backups in the secondary, you make sure you find a way to lay the wood to the QB. We seem to be stuck on the rush 4 philosophy which is ok if ya got the horses. Thankfully, they did retool the Dline, but it ain't gonna fly every week. Teams are going to adjust and we end up giving pedestrian QBs all day to throw. Yesterday was frustrating even though Brissett has some mobility. They showed on TV McD having what seemed like a P.O.'d convo with Frazier and lo and behold the pass rush kicks up a notch. That exchange was shown plain as day on the telly and my beef with McD is that he is supposed to be D.C guru and it takes him forever to put a foot up someone's ass. He needs to quit worrying about it and take control sooner than later. Any one of us can predict the opponent's M.O. on offense each week, but nothing seems to change. If McD don't put two cents in now, Goff will tear us up on National TV Thurs.

Or have 2 Bosas, a Donald a Mack and a Miller.... I'll take that bet. Until we get a Defensive Co. with a pulse and some game face, we are gonna lose important games.

BTW we are facing the Detroit Lions coming up. What's the plan? To hopefully outscore them? I think McD better take over this Defense now.....or it's his ass that should be on the fire.

Forgive me for not having read all replies, but keeping in mind we played the Browns, and with all the previous games considered....Frazier couldn't get pressure with a warrant. We are a ***** defense when it comes to rush fo. Get lucky once in a while, but a jugs machine could give us a loss......

Knox has been our 6th Lineman in pass pro. I wish people would let up on him a little. It's the way he's being used. I hope the coaches coach smarter. Quit thinking you have to convert 4th and shorts every time....especially in FG range....And with 1:38 and a timeout left in the RZ and OT, take the timeout and think about what the Hell you need to do. We should have never lost let alone went to OT.

I don't know about the Chiefs. I'm inclined to stay away from any point spreads. Loss to the Colts, close win vs. Jags and barely get by Titans. I can see them dropping 2 if not 3...at least I hope so.

Looking at the Fins last 7 games. other than the Texans, they face San Fran, GB, Bolts, Bills, NE and the Jets. They will lose some games....and probably Tua somewhere along the way.

And maybe a little time with the Jugs machine....lol

Last year we had the likes of Harry , Starr, Addison and Butler and our rush four only ain't much better. The absolute pig headed stubbornness to not try to get creative pressure is maddening. If McD doesn't step in and do something about this 1990 Defensive game planning, Brissett will also look like Mahommes and he's sure as Hell a lot more mobile than Cousins.

Well I believe they blitzed once in the first half. Your defending Jefferson, the TE and Cook. You're not getting pressure leaving these young guys out to dry. This is the worst Defensive coaching that there is. You can throw stats all you want, but every team knows how to beat us cause we gonna rush fo and not pose a threat. Von Miller and all the moves on Dline will just be a waste if we can't be creative with mixing in blitzes. Look at what the Vikings sent all day long.

I do have issues with the Offensive play calling, but letting Cousins cut us up shows the first need in a coaching change. What's gonna happen next week ....let Jacoby Brissett throw for 300?...and get embarrassed by the Browns? Maybe we can blame Dorsey and Allen, but Frazier has been here the whole time and you could give him Moses, Peter, Paul and John and he would let a piss poor QB throw for 300 plus. They should have never scored 33. This is the NFL and always changing.....to beat us. Seems like we never get the memo.
