I think it would be stupid not to throw Poyer 7 mil. for next year....and hopefully have a healthy Hyde. They can find a way to do a 2yr. deal with a bonus and an out after one, Then they can iron things out behind them.

I don't know about anyone else, but this is what I was hoping for this year especially going into the playoffs. Do I think after the last few years that's gonna change? Nope. Our defense is and will always be under Frazier the equivalent to run, run pass and punt. We've been catching teams off guard early the last few years. Those days are over.

I agree with all this, but I still have to wonder.....If we would have beat Cincy and went to play K.C. at a neutral site, what would the narrative have been? Charity for the Bills? I still don't really understand the NFL's position. 5 years ago, the game would have went on....not saying it should have, just don't understand how they reasoned things going forward from that.

I think McD is a better D.C. than Frazier and my gut feeling is that he tried to leave Leslie alone. Either way the coordinator will go first.

I don't think we have to break the bank for Powers. Length of contract and bonus should smooth that out. If we can get Mcglinchey on a 2 or 3 yr. deal, sure it'll cost us ,but again, if they can find a way to sign Von... Also, I'm not paying Edmunds. Nope

Brown and Doyle swing. Draft BPA along the line (at least 2) . Pretty much get rid of everyone else, except maybe Ike. This instantly establishes a quality starting 5. Plus a couple of good picks should do it. Beane can find the money. Edit: IMO, I tend to believe this was Beane's plan. First he got the QB, and did a lot of horsetrading to do it. Then he drafted to bolster the Dline after bringing in a few other pieces, ie. Diggs , Bease etc. He then went a step further with Von. Now it's time to build an Oline. I think he believes in the need to stagger contracts for continued success. We'll see how it goes.

Short answer....No. I do get that they are Hellbent on being able to rush 4, but look what it took for the Niners to build that.....and since we don't have that (many years to suck enough to draft that line)....or a Fred Warner, perhaps we should scheme a little more aggressively. Oh wait, we don't have a D'Meco nevermind.

I can't even think about how many times cook was wide open at the top of the screen(all season)....or Devin /Diggs or Beasley. When it came to hitting a back in the flat, by the time Josh figures he has nothing else the play gets blown up. That absolutely should have been a big part of the game plan. They all knew the weather and footing was gonna be crap. Speaking of which, why wouldn't they play press man and tangle Chase and Boyd up at the line. The week before they talked about how they knew Tre and Elam were good at it. Maybe just maybe that might have helped the rush a bit.
