  1. Well one thing's for sure...We have no DTs under contract next year and going into next off season that way, I don't expect to happen. That being said, I'm willing to bet Beane has some scenarios where he has hypothetical plans in place and very likely to be talking to other teams about draft day scenarios, for example.... I wouldn't be surprised if Beane has a trade set up for Oliver if the draft falls a certain way. Let's say Kancey and Breese are sitting there and they select one with an agreement that in that situation they trade Ed to Houston for 33/73/201 ( one of their 2 3rds and one of their 2 6ths), while giving them our 2024 2nd.? We get Campbell at 33 and maybe use 91 and 59 to move up in the 2nd again....and maybe get a top IOL or TE. A 1st, 2 2nds and a relatively good spot in the 3rd could give us 4 impact players right off the bat. That may all sound like fantasy, but my point is I'm betting Beane is gonna have several plan B's cooked up and will possibly have deals in place should things go certain ways. In the above scenario maybe instead he sends pick 91 to the Ravens for Patrick Queen then selects Sanders at 33. Not one of us knows what will ultimately happen. However, I just don't see him standing pat with and where our lowly 6 picks are....and although we may get a banner year out of Ed, will he get stupid money from some team next year....and did we not learn anything from hanging on to Edmunds last year?
  2. And didn't the Ravens give Smith 100mil. deal? I'd rather send a 3rd in 2024 for Patrick Queen.
  3. Excellent draft, but 17 spots for that? Do Grady Jarrett come with that?
  4. Why would you just assume that? Who benefits in that?....unless he was told, "That's gonna be our pick no matter what."....Just get him ready. EDIT:.......which would actually be cool. Jack Campbert would be ready to lay some wood Day 1.
  5. Well after Campbell working with Luke, I'm sure McBeane will be able to get a view from someone they know who has all the creds and can give an opinion on the level of a LB coach. I like the fact that the FO is getting this kind of intel and applaud them for that.
  6. One would think this just may be a good idea.
  7. Didn't they sign Phillips and Shaq? Everybody's under contract.
  8. Say we draft an Edge and DT? Can we carry 11... or will our picks get poached from the P.S.? They need to pick the 1st 3 or 4 guys this draft that have a high possibility of helping this year, reaching be ok....IMO I'll start with Campbell.
  9. I think the question will be How many D Limen can we keep? Certainly gonna be a while for that to get figured out.
  10. Bleacher Report ranking: No. 27 Pos. rank LB 1...and training with Luke should certainly give him a huge boost especially in regard to McD's defense. I would take him at 27. I would then use a 2024 1st and 3rd to get a pick as high as possible in the 2nd to get Avila. Then at 59 hopefully Foskey is still there. This team needs to build a young core. Campbell and Avila (who played 2021 at center and 22 at GD.) would be my top 2 picks.
  11. They have no DTs under contract for next year, so we have a need there. Question is...Do we spend our 6 picks across different positions where it's possible to make the 53?....or do we end up just stocking the P.S with poachable players?
  12. Not to mention the Jets have 2 picks before that and their biggest need is Dline and LB....and the goods for A Aron haven;t been delivered yet.
  13. If so, they must be confident on moving Lamar, cause they broke now. Some one's gonna get Patrick Queen before draft night's over.
  14. Absolutely, that's why he ain't getting it here. Maybe the Bears will make him a star, who knows.
  15. Couldn't agree more, we just went through 5 years of that.
  16. Agreed....Even if they sign Klein back, no way do they not get someone they feel will work.
  17. Jack Campbell.....whose instincts and ability to call the defense as a rookie will probably be better than Tremaine in yr. 4.
  18. I'm willing to bet we see a lot more 4-3. We could send a LB from anywhere, anytime on every down. I could see Rapp splitting time with Johnson, especially against bigger backs and TEs as well as when they go dime.
  19. I like Bernard and Spector, but I am praying for Jack Campbell. It's a reach!!!!! Not worth a 1st round pick at 27!!!!!! Well Zerholtz and the Chiefs took him at 31! They must not get it!! There's no way we can pass on him cause he ain't gonna make it past 32.
  20. How far down after 27 do you find a "needy" team? Why wouldn't they stay put and trade up in the 2nd?...and I don't think because of the 5th yr. option is a worthy argument.
  21. We need Campbell. He's gonna be Urlacher 2.0 ...He'll be ready to start day one and just keep getting better...for 5 yrs! I do like the next 2 picks ! He'll look like a savvy vet compared to the last 1st. rd. rookie we threw in there.
  22. okay...1. Campbell 2. Foskey 3. BPA DT
  23. This could also, at least mostly, apply to Dhop as well. Bringing him in praying for Lofton while kicking the can might not be very wise either.
  24. I don't want to lose Campbell, but if they think they can pull off moving a spot or 3 so be it. However, Washington would give us an extra RT in pass pro, a bulldozer for run blocking, a guy who could probably wall off 3 defenders and a chain moving red zone target. Bang for the buck? I would prefer Campbell 1 then Darnell 2.
