Alternate uniforms and red helmets for 2025? Bills COO suggests it

This would be over the top grand! Heck, I’ll get a bit misty-eyed just seeing them go out in Rich Stadium in those duds. Lots of memories back in those days-gone-by… -

Interesting Eric Moulds stat
NORWOODS FOOT replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I remember that draft well. I badly wanted Marvin Harrison and hoped like hell he would fall, but he went half a dozen or so picks ahead of us. We took Moulds and I wasn’t very familiar with him. In a preseason game he caught an over the shoulder pass and smashed through two defenders and I was pumped. But then he was quiet for a few years. I was hoping he’d turn into a Sterling Sharpe type but that never really happened. Instead he was very good with some occasional games where he dominated. I remember that Miami game. He was on fire. I still wish we would have got Harrison, but with no QB it wouldn’t have mattered much! -

Damn… okay then. Perhaps most likely to sign back with the Chargers at a bit of a discount… if they’ll even have him. Hmmm…. I just want us to sign someone serviceable for CB2 so we can go BPA in the draft.

Beane and McDermott = really good (neither are great) The combination of missing on top draft picks and coaching errors compound and keep us out of the top tier. Philly - amazing talent on the roster KC - top notch coaching It’s a game of inches and we have just not been good enough (despite having the league’s best QB) to break in. And if we didn’t have Josh both Beane’s and McDermott’s shortcomings would be a lot more obvious.

Harold Landry given permission to seek trade
NORWOODS FOOT replied to BuffaloRebound's topic in The Stadium Wall
I say turn over every stone. Check out Landry. Check out everyone else available as well. But please dear god let Beane actually hit on a DT in the first two rounds to add to the mix -
After watching the video I like it too. NFL pedigree He learned from Bill Belichick Had success on high level teams Humbled and hungry (?) after failure Is a film and football junkie I dig it

So the Buckeyes hired Matt Patricia as DC. Taking a wait and see approach, but I’m hopeful. Here is a great video to get to know him better:

I think I might be happy with Donovan Ezeiruaku in the first. Very talented guy, productive, and will rise with good workout numbers. But first I want to see his 10-yard split, broad jump, vertical, and bench press. That said, if we take him in the first, I’d be looking for a space eating DT the second. Someone like Collins from Texas. (But we are still early in the evaluation process - so I reserve the right to change my mind! Haha)

It’s not even a “conspiracy”. It’s their business. It’s what they are doing. And they don’t include you or me or our feelings in their decisions.

Is McD actually compensating for Beane?
NORWOODS FOOT replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here is the little bit of e v a l I’ve done this year just by watching games: Watched a lot of Ohio State this year. From that team: OL - Donavon Jackson, Ohio State Great guard. Swung out to OT due to injury and crushed it against top competition. If he tests well at the combine I think he is one of the best players in the draft. Period. Doesn’t mean he is going top 10. Means that wherever he goes, in a few years we will look back and see that he could have gone anywhere due to his high level performance in the NFL. WR - EMEKA EGBUKA, Ohio State Very high floor. Plus level athleticism and character traits. High intelligence. Is he a true number 1? I don’t know. Is he a can’t miss prospect? Absolutely. Was always overshadowed by JSN, MHjr, and Jeremiah Smith. Yet he ended his time at OSU as the all time leader in receptions. Would love him in BUF. DE Jack Sawyer / JT Tuimoloau, Ohio State Sawyer is probably going to go higher, but I’d be happy with either at the end of round 1 or especially in round 2. Both have great size, athleticism, character, etc. If Sawyer can continue the growth he showed during the playoffs I think he can be a top 20 DE in the league. Again, these guys may not blow up, but both are high floor, great teammate guys in my opinion. BONUS: DE Michael Green, Marshall DT Alfred Collins, Texas Both of these players flashed in their games against Ohio State, thus against top talent. Let’s see what these guys do at the Senior Bowl / combine and if they have good character and a commitment to improve. If so, I’d be happy with either of them being on the roster. -
Is McD actually compensating for Beane?
NORWOODS FOOT replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hey, I’ll definitely chime in closer to draft day. I haven’t spent as much time on analyzing players this year because I’ve dedicated myself to learning to trade Forex (turns out it’s complicated! Haha). But I probably can’t help but spend some time doing it as the year goes on! Stay tuned! -
Is McD actually compensating for Beane?

Thank you for your thoughtful analysis. I think you’re on to something. Regarding picking talent, we haven’t had anyone close to Polian since he was pushed out. This has been my biggest gripe for nearly 30 years. Every year I scout the top 60 players or so and, when we are on the clock, I make my pick. Too often my picks have turned out better than the Bills… Bills: Donte Whitner Me: Haloti Ngata Bills: Aaron Maybin Me: Clay Matthew’s Jr. Bills: Josh Allen Me: Lamar Jackson (Beane was right) Bills: Elam Me: Tarik Woolen Bills: Groot Me: Owusu-Koramoah (Beane was right) Bills: Trade with Chiefs Me: Xavier Worthy Me: Ladd McConky (after trade down) So obviously my picks don’t always hit, and thank God we have Josh, but damn… Kind of disheartening when, me, a casual fan is arguably making better picks than the team. I have felt for years that the lack of quality drafting, especially in the high rounds, has often been a problem. -
What happened to DeWayne Carter and Solomon?
NORWOODS FOOT replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
I sincerely hope you are right. Kincaid was an Allen pick as well. Now we know he was injured. How do you feel about his performance? -
Grateful for his work here. Disappointed not only in his decision (so be it) but the seeming lack of respect / kindness to players. The times we live in I guess.
