  1. People shouldn’t worry about the Akers talk. He’s a good back that would cost almost nothing for us at this point and is an insurance back. It seems clear they’re moving away from Moss and I think that’s a smart idea. Akers wouldn’t be a prime pickup for us but he’s a safe and cheap one that buys our backfield some depth and quality. I think Beane may also try to make a bigger splash but I can’t pretend to know what it would be. I like Josh Allen OLB, some of the receivers, any O-line help we can get as well as a TE if we found the right guy. Will be interesting to see what we do here.
  2. If the Bills can figure a way to get this done, they should highly consider. Young, healthy edge rusher/olb. We’d have to give up something, but he’s the goods and I feel like we are going to have to make a tough choice on a contract or so regardless (Epanesa, Boogey, Oliver). Would make our pass rush unstoppable, which is key in this day and age and the hardest and one of the most expensive positions to fill effectively.
  3. Who can we get in the cheap that can really help us this season and maybe beyond?? Kareem Hunt seems like a no-brainer football-wise. We can address the extra back in the room at a later point. Grab a top 5 back right now and make our running game dangerous.
  4. Ok so then Jimmy G throws a marshmallow off his back foot into the end zone. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part.
  5. Looking more and more like a potential Bills vs 9’ers super bowl. They look good. Yes I know it’s early but the denouement of the season is here.
  6. Us Bills fans need a few Lombardi’s too and then we can get that albatross off our backs…
  7. Love it. He’s not a good scrambler. A little strife after all those championships is character-building. I also don’t want to see Brady anywhere near the playoffs. I’m tired of him.
  8. He’s becoming a Reggie White/Stratham-type end, which I think is a good aim. I think he needs to use both bull-rush ability with his size as well as getting around the corner. He will be hard to stop.
  9. What needs to happen is using this bye week to get healthy. We should be letting everybody get ample rest and PT. Prepare for second half of the schedule. I’d rather be a little rusty coming out of it than injured. Rest up!
  10. This would be a smarter trade for us and we have a cornerstone right guard for next few years instead of having to do it all through the draft. Our biggest need is OL rebuilding. It would be smart to start doing it now if we can get a passable deal done.
  11. Yeah I should have added that same thing and agree. First few rounds should likely be OL with a good WR I. 1-3. So many of the great teams, including the ones that beat us in the early 90’s, did so with monstrously good OL’s. We need to improve quite a bit there with top guys.
  12. Well drafting should be easier this coming year because we should be going early rounds primarily to make sure Josh has a beastly offensive line settled.
  13. Waaaay too expensive for my taste. Glad Bills didn’t trade 4 high picks for him. Def not worth it for where we are at. Can legit rebuild an offensive line with all those pics.
  14. I watched Zappe’s highlights from last week though. He throws up a ton of underthrown floaters. Not sure how he completes so many of them.
  15. Nothing but a gut feeling but Knox has been quiet this season. I think Dawson Knox steps it up Sunday…. In addition, Elam is angry about his performance last week. Pick six from him this week? I think he has a big game regardless.
  16. If you’re gonna do that, might as well just save the 3rd or 4th round pick and draft a RB with it. That’s a hella high pick for a 2/3rd running back. I mean, Pacheco was drafted in the 7th. Absolutely no reason to trade for a guy like this with that high of a draft pick.
  17. 60/40 Shakir to get the snaps. Love McKenzie but he can also be slotted more to ST stuff. I love Shakir’s toughness and potential and RAC. I love McKenzie too but I’m feeling Shakir’s vibe.
  18. I trust Beane on this one. He’s a talent for sure. It means we’d be moving somebody as well. We are ready to win now and our future lies with Josh Allen. Give him every tool to succeed.
  19. Totally agree. People saying he “doesn’t have the mentality” seems a bit crazy to me after 13 carries on the season. I think he’s gonna be a beast once he gets going. Get him more involved in passes and plays in the open field.
  20. More reason he can’t be yanked after one mistake. He’s a rookie and is on a big stage now. How can any new player get any confidence that way? I frankly think this is in McDermott. It took both Singletary and Moss years to get going under McDermott as well and I don’t like how Cook is getting yanked forever after a mistake. I think it’s partially the tough early season schedule as well, but we are gonna need him down the stretch. Pittsburgh might be the right game to get him started a bit.
  21. Poyer has been excellent. I still don’t know if we can afford to keep him. It may come down to paying Tremaine or Poyer and I see Tremaine as more important for our future.
  22. I agree Devin is an underrated back. I’d like to see Singletary get more carries and Cook become the clear number 2 back as well with increased load. Cook is clearly in our future but not sure Moss is. Utilizing both Singletary and Cook more in our offense would allow us to play them both in similar down situations and not get gamed as much defensively either. Could literally put out 2-back sets and run motion or have backs move to slot formation because both can catch. Time to flip this script up a bit.
