Wow, I knew I shouldn't have turned it off halfway through the fourth quarter. I guess things really got crazy in garbage time.

But I didn't create the Pats' dynasty. My sphere of magical influence extends only two weeks (note the Bills had a big win in week two that year as well). After that period, what happens is left to mere chance. If it makes you feel better, I will personally guarantee a Bills victory over the Pats this Sunday. If I'm wrong, you guys can write any sig line for me and I'll keep it for the rest of the football season.

A fair assessment. Yeah, we don't need 7 TD passes from EJ and 400+ yards. I'll be happy with a good solid outing with a few sustained drives and no turnovers.

Today is my 10 year anniversary of joining the board. A couple days after my first post, the Bills beat the Patriots in the home opener 31-0. Just sayin'.

I think the current FIFA top 20 rankings are pretty accurate. USA at #19 sounds about right. If they keep playing as well as they have lately, it's possible to crack the top 15 by World Cup time. Although I'll be a whole hell of a lot more interested in the ranking immediately following the WC.

It's all downhill from here.

Two more WC qualifiers coming up... Fri. 9/6 at Costa Rica, at 10pm ET (BeIN SPORT) Tue. 9/10 vs. Mexico (in Columbus, OH), at 8pm ET (ESPN) The U.S. will have a very solid roster for these games. All the big names are in camp (Tim Howard, Besler, Bradley, Donovan, Dempsey, Altidore...) They've been looking great lately. 12 wins in a row. I'm curious to see how they look with a true A squad in place.

I really don't know. 30 seems a little harsh though. Hard to say how the Jets are placed above us. The good news is that nobody really knows. Every year there are surprises. Maybe it's our turn.

Bravo! Well said! Now somebody needs to put together a montage to take this team from sadsack underdogs to pumped badass winners! I'm thinking fast edits of footage from That 70's Show to the tune of "Get on the Good Foot" will send the right message to these booboo foot whiners.

Key to the game: Belichick knows the Bills D will be bringing pressure from all angles and with exotic looks in order to mask their weakness in the secondary. So the Pats will be concentrating on Brady getting the ball out fast, beating the blitz. This is where the game will be won or lost. Can the bills D-line (their strength) create enough havoc or will Brady slice us up as usual.
