Luis Saurez. Wow! I feel bad for England because they played two decent games and came away with zero points. Rooney worked his ass off and was very good but a little unlucky. I think, in the end, England's defense and goalkeeping let them down. I think Costa Rica will give Italy a good game today. I'm looking forward to this one.

That’s a tough one. For the most part, I find that people typically referred to as “entertainers” are not all that entertaining to me. Kind of like how “humorists” are rarely ever funny. I guess I’m gonna go with Kermit the Frog. By the way, is there any way to block Gugny from posting in this thread?

One thing that bugs me about living in a second rate soccer nation is that the coverage is very poor. It's hard to find quality writing about the USMNT even now. The vast majority of articles available (and there are not a lot out there) just want to talk about Kobe Bryant or Landon Donovan or Jimmy Fallon. There's really not much out there breaking down X's and 0's or talking strategy or evaluating the opponents in a meaningful way.

Wow. If it's possible to feel bad for a guy who has many many millions of dollars, a superhot young wife and the adoration of millions of fans, I do--I feel bad for him.

I don't know the exact number of saves Ochoa had. But a few of them were pretty great. I thought it was a great game.

Man, Portugal is not having any fun so far. It's still possible for them to win two games and advance though.
