  1. Well, the game hasn't been played yet, so you still have a chance.
  2. Yeah, she's a beauty. And a super-talented striker. I wish the men's team had goal scorers as prolific as Morgan, Waumbach, Leroux and Lloyd.
  3. The women's US soccer team plays Norway tomorrow at 2pm ET. The game will be on Fox Sports 1. It's the beginning of The Algarve Cup in Portugal. They play Switzerland on Friday and Iceland on Monday. Then, hopefully they'll be in the final on 3/11. That would most likely be against Germany, Brazil or Japan. It's always fun to watch the US Women. This will be a good tune-up ahead of the Women's World Cup this summer.
  4. Tells you everything you need to know about the excessive crankiness in PPP.
  5. I don't mean to sound all old fashioned & ****, but I feel that the range of applicability of the word "exceptional" has perhaps been stretched a bit too much to describe the students of today.
  6. I'll give that little stojan something to cry about.
  7. In 1988, my High School (Webster, NY) B-Ball team lost in the section 5 finals in a very good close game to Bishop Kearney. It came out later that Bishop Kearney showed up in the wrong color uniforms. Webster had an alternate uniform available so the game went on as scheduled. The way I heard it, the Webster coach could have protested and asked for a forfeit, but he declined in the interest of sportsmanship. That’s obviously the classy decision.
  8. RIP I used to love his old show In Search Of...
  9. My first thought was Zelda from Pet Sematary... http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-n7kFGx2rP4g/TvyvAH6w49I/AAAAAAAAEUo/nTsC6B15QT8/s1600/pet_sematary-16-thumb-572xauto-248134.jpg
  10. Although I've always viewed the red stripe not a result of being shot, but that it's from the buffalo having justed gored its opponent.
  11. I love the Bills logo. No other logo shows blood or has a penis bump. We got both.
  12. I like Wes Montgomery's "California Dreamin'," Coltrane's "My Favorite Things" I've always liked Devo's "Satisfaction" The Lemonheads version of Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" is better than you could ever expect. The way Gibby Haynes sings "Dancing Queen" can always bring a smile to my pants. I know there are about a hundred others, but my mind isn't working right now.
  13. She is hauntingly attractive. If I were single, younger, better looking, more charming, more successful and had the opportunity of meeting her, it's conceivable that I might express to her my wish of having her join me for a nice meal at a quality restaurant.
  14. I suppose analytics have some value, but crap like that always becomes a crutch. There are dorks in every line of work who can’t understand anything about the world or make a decision unless they can compare column C and D on a !@#$ing spreadsheet. That’s because they lack imagination, insight, vision. Analytics will only get you so far—the true visionaries in any field succeed because they can see the world as it is and don’t need it simplified and color coded for them. Tons of guys like this where I work. They are utterly clueless, but they can always justify their ludicrous position because they have a piece of paper that says A > B. I call it “spreadsheet sophistry.”
  15. Inferior, yes. With regard to this issue, that hits it on the nose.
  16. That’s one way of looking at it. I’ve known quite a few people with Down Syndrome. The idea that they should, as a rule, be abandoned at birth is a little more than I can chalk up to cultural differences.
  17. That’s great except no sane parents would ever let their kids get into organized sports. It would essentially make PED's compulsory and not just in the elite ranks. Also, the NFL would need to install conveyer belts on the playing fields to remove the mangled corpses after each play.
