  1. Bills' genius new marketing strategy: Morbid Curiosity
  2. Dilemma. I'm scared that Nate will give a repeat performance and just make a laughable mess of things again. I'm even more scared that he might actually play well because that would mean I have to question everything I think I know about life, reality and the nature of existence.
  3. That doesn't look like any Bills superbowl I've ever seen.
  4. Pats: 40+ Bills: Vontae Davis
  5. Nate starts against the Colts and somehow, inexplicably, does relatively well (145 yards, one TD, only one INT) and the Bills win a squeeker. Nate signs to a big multi-year extension, then immediately reverts to the Nate we all know on MNF against the pats with a spectacular 5 interception total faceplant performance and we all seek psychiatric help for catastrophic PTSD.
  6. Agreed. It’s baffling how a marginal player, who has never shown anything to distinguish himself or been impressive at all in his position, has been handed so many chances! He’s been so memorably bad on multiple occasions. And it’s not like there’s some great promise there, or that he represents a huge investment or that there’s any reason to believe that he “just needs more time” or anything like that. i just can’t fathom why he’s still here. And I feel for the guy. It must be hugely painful to face all the ridicule. Most guys who aren’t good enough for the nfl just sort of quietly fade away as a training camp casualty. It’s unusual to see these terrible performances get repeated. I think it does say something about the state of the Bills organization at this point. It just reeks of Amateur Hour.
  7. So true. It’s actually refreshing to hear him say it out loud. The D performance was Great today. It’s a shame that goal line stand will be forgotten.
  8. This is absolutely a positive performance from the rookie QB. Looked shaky at times, but I’ll take it as it’s against a very good defense and he never lost his head and made big plays at key moments. Needed to drive down the field late in the 4th for a FG to win. Check. Win. Most important to me (admittedly unscientific) is that he just seems like a winner. His teammates are all in. I just hope he stays healthy—he will continue to improve.
  9. Me too. He was an exciting player to watch for a brief period. Can't see why he shouldn't get another chance. Others are in the league who have been guilty of far worse than struggling with drugs.
  10. I just listened to Weezer's cover of "Africa." It's so good, it gave me the chills a little.
  11. Very good that he gets some actual prison time. He is an unrepentant monster. I hope at this moment he is feeling deep and genuine fear and terror, more than he has ever known before.
  12. Wow, rough night for Tyrod! Peterman-like.
  13. Oh my goodness. My daughter is 7. Just heartbreaking. That picture of Sweet Sally!
  14. Yeah, I agree. It's a mess. Also very confusing and inconsistent: the occasional blowing of a whistle when a QB is ruled "in the grasp" or "forward momentum" stopped. This usually is the call when it's an excuse to take away a forced fumble from the Bills defense. Also, to some extent, intentional grounding is all over the place in terms of how it's interpreted.
  15. This part made me laugh out loud
  16. If I may make a suggestion: The Tamp Bay Bucs are very fun to watch at the moment.
  17. Blah blah blah...blow it out your ass, Vontae. Four shout outs to God, but no apology or mention of the teammates and fans that he selfishly left hanging. I don't understand how someone would want to go out like that. I think it's a shameful way to end a career. If you can't play, that's understandable. Announce it later in the week. But the way he handled it, it was a slap in the face to a lot of people. Vontae will be remembered for this stupid gesture probably more than anything else he's done. What a dipschytte.
  18. I've liked Max for a long time, especially on HBO's boxing coverage. But lately, he has become annoying. He talks a little to much and thinks not quite enough, trying to get a reaction. It's the same kind of hasty, hot-take invective that is very much in fashion in not just sports commentary, but society at large.
  19. Maybe the more serious problem is the backup QB situation. Josh is in a precarious position, taking lots of hits, not well protected at all and having to run for first downs more than anyone is comfortable with. And still Peterman is the only alternative. Something needs to be done about that.
