  1. I think that sounds lovely. It would transition nicely into a pirouette and then into jazz hands as you pronounce, "You're an idiot."
  2. Brave artist! It's about time we get people to think about their "natural choreography.'
  3. Haha! Even Reilly is listed as day to day due to his banged up pyloric valve.
  4. I’ve watched the first three episodes. So far, I’m impressed. Unsurprisingly, the production values are top notch. The show looks outstanding. I think the writing is pretty great too, better than the previews suggested. I think they handle the “Fantasy Island” aspect in a way that is very fun. And the philosophical/techno-psycho-AI/behind-the-scenes stuff is done well too. They avoid over-explaining and they include some very interesting ideas without insulting anyone’s intelligence or giving easy answers. Big thumbs up from me. I really enjoy it. The scope of the whole thing is so huge that I think it will be challenging to keep it compelling for multiple seasons. But for now, I think It’s great.
  5. Perhaps the most conventional weapon of all.
  6. Everybody hates their family, but I think it's best that disputes be restricted to using conventional weapons only. So, I applaud this initiative.
  7. My suggestion: Put the ball back at the 2 for all after-TD tries. But here's the catch: If you kick for 1, then it has to be KICKED BY THE PLAYER WHO SCORED THE TD! That makes the PAT much more interesting than it has been. It eliminates the stupid 15 yard line rule in effect now. Allows for fakes. And it will encourage more 2 point tries. Makes the whole scenario way more interesting and adds drama.
  8. That was a fun time, before MTV went to crap. There was a brief period when it was cool to watch videos on MTV. It was even worthwhile sitting through songs you thought were lame because many of the videos were so well done and original. There still are a lot of cool music videos being made, by really talented directors. Of course, they're scattered all over the place and you have to seek them out.
  9. That's true. You may be the only member of the Methodological Sarcastic Anarchist party.
  10. Lying about blowjobs has a long history of being a legitimate comedic device. It also has a long history as a political philosophy. In fact, I challenge you to come up with a better definition of Democracy than "lying about blowjobs."
  11. Oh, it's just a joke. Actually, it's the first time I've been impressed by anything Madonna did in 30 years.

  13. Yes, they will be burned by their own stubbornness.
  14. I see what you're saying, but I think that Republicans have eroded their credibility a bit as far as their ability to oppose a nomination, even if it's someone very far left. Even though their reasons for opposing the two nominees would be different, it's still somewhat a "crying wolf" situation and the public will have lost some patience with these Senators who already are viewed as untrustworthy. That's why I think the Republicans have dug themselves a deep hole and also why I'm surprised the Democrats have not used this more to their advantage. Maybe you're right, it will show up more in the next couple weeks.
  15. Apart from the question of whether it's the (R-majority) Senate duty to "do its job," I think the Republicans have played their hand badly. They would have done well to take the relatively moderate choice offered to them. If Hillary becomes President and nothing was ever done about Garland and she decides to pick a different nominee, then that's reasonable. How could it be anything other than sour grapes for Republicans to whine about it that point?
  16. Yes, I'm resurrecting an old thread... Is anyone else surprised that Democrats are not playing the Merrick Garland card more aggressively? I would think it could be effective to hit it hard in Senate races. Or is it happening, but only in isolated areas that I'm not seeing? I expected it to get a lot of bandwidth in the pres. race too, but it hasn't.
  17. "...A Journey Through The British Heavy Psych And Hard Rock Underground Scene 1968-1972" http://thequietus.com/articles/20692-im-a-freak-baby-british-heavy-psych-hard-rock-underground-scene-1968-1972 A friend got this 3 cd set for me as a gift. It's surprisingly great. Really fun. Probably my favorite box set since Nuggets. Thank you, that is all. Have a nice day.
  18. Trump has a massive blind spot. He truly does not see that stuff as that big of a deal. As we speak, Trump thinks he can talk himself out of this and that a week from now all this sexual assault stuff will be replaced by very very good things!
  19. It's absolutely what is going on. A vote for Trump is a vote for crazy. I think that's been clear since the beginning. It's like the old Asteroids video game...when you start to get panicky, you press the "Hyperspace" button because [random/unknown] seems better than [this **** right now].
  20. I haven't watched it yet, but I plan to. I thought I'd wait until a few episodes are available. My initial thoughts from seeing a couple previews and from what little I've read is that I won't love it. In the words of Peter Griffin, "it insists upon itself." Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised though, especially if I keep my expectations low. I feel like whenever AI gets a treatment in popular culture, it usually turns out half-baked and boring.
  21. I happen to love the movie Broken Flowers. That's the first time I became aware of Jeffrey Wright and thought he's really good.
