  1. Hot takes! Hot takes! Get your hot takes here! Sir, chill for a second. I merely asked a question and addressed it to someone whose opinion has a chance of having some value. Note that I didn't address the question to you.
  2. Do you really believe it's all due to ineptitude? Do you not grant that the Bannon/Miller/Gorka voice in Trump's ear has some sway in this? Whether it's because they really believe in the bigotry of it or if it's just that they see the political value in harnessing the support of these groups, I don't know for sure, but something ugly is going on.
  3. I don't understand your criticism here. The sarcasm is pointing at the fact that some of the people are not smiling in the photograph? Please tell us how that's significant in any way.
  4. Ok, I think this distinction is a good one. I think it's unlikely that this was his specific motivation (and it would be tough to make that case in court given the context), but I see the point. It's definitely worth considering. I see what you're saying.
  5. I don't know for sure. It's possible that there was a bee in the car and he spilled some coffee in his crotch and had a bad cramp in his right leg. I'm not calling for the guy to be executed. Information will come to light and he will get to defend himself. But, with what we know right now, it sure looks like terrorism to me.
  6. Please tell me how/where I've failed to do this. I was responding to the issue of whether what happened in Charlottesville was terrorism. To me, it's pretty clear that it is. You lost me there. Please help me understand what you mean by this.
  7. Well said. I feel the same way about this. You could make very good arguments on either side.
  8. I have bad news for you. The train you're on is not even going to Chicago.
  9. You know how in third grade they ask those Reading Comprehension questions which are word problems that include some details that are unimportant, to see if you can weed out the essential vs. incidental information? Right now you’re the kid obsessing about how much Carlos paid for his ticket when all we really need to know is what time the train will arrive in Chicago.
  10. Indeed... https://i.pinimg.com/originals/95/10/25/951025af59d3d1314033090e9c180437.jpg
  11. "Can be spun...?" Sure, I agree that in this day & age of nonsense politics dog **** can be spun into gold. But I'm not very interested in that. I'm interested in making sense.
  12. The *agenda* you see here is your own invention. It does not exist in the statement we’re talking about. Obama did not use the opportunity to criticize the current pres or administration. Nothing political was discussed or even implied. Exactly. That’s part of my point. It’s why I do not agree with what Tom said. Does that include someone who lives there and happens to be “ethnic-looking?” Do they have to vacate their home for the weekend? Is it ok if they just hide inside with the curtains drawn?
  13. You've really botched the lyrics to "What a Wonderful World" here.
  14. How do you not see that you are complaining about people painting in broad strokes while you're standing there with a dripping ROLLER in your hand? Nobody here has said all white people are evil or anything even close to that.
  15. You may find some research that indicates babies will tend to gravitate towards people that look more like mommy or bro or sis than someone who looks different. All else equal, that’s not surprising—and I’ve seen some studies showing that. Babies also tend to show favorable attention to images of women who are commonly thought of as attractive as opposed to unattractive ones. But I’m confident you will not find solid science to support the claim that hatred of those with a different skin color is innate. It’s safe to say that the Obama quote (from Mandela) in question, which you were quick to dispute, is reasonable and accurate. "No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion..." It’s really not a controversial statement. And it’s not something intended to be divisive or ax-grinding or partisan. Quite the opposite.
  16. Can you share or point to some of this evidence? I'm not aware of it. My own experience is that babies & children are not inherently hateful of differences.
  17. I like the Trump madman approach. Keeps NK on their toes. I think our next step should be to blow up Guam ourselves. Then be like, who’s crazy now, Kim?
  18. Ok, carry on. Keep saving the world with your "-tard" suffix.
  19. Do you ever listen to yourself? Are you 4 years old?
  20. Ok, screw the cat. But Burn After Reading was a good movie.
  21. I'd burn the hat, save the kitten and use social media pressure to force the owners to make a public apology and a donation to the local no-kill animal shelter. But that's me, the bleeding heart leftist libflake snowtard. I should change my name to Cuck-alabanza.
  22. Dude, first of all, if you want to set kittens of fire, then I don't think I can trust your judgment. Secondly, setting kittens on fire, as a practical matter, is not as easy as you imagine. It is, however, a very good metaphor for your misdirected, impotent rage, which we've all seen way too many times around here. Good day to you, sir.
  23. This is the part where it gets kind of special in terms of full on whacked: "Melanin enables black skin to capture light and hold it in its memory mode which reveals that blackness converts light into knowledge. Melanin directly communicates with cosmic energy..."
  24. Fake news! That movie was great.
  25. This is a disturbing non-answer from Pegs. His compassion as a human being apparently does not extend much further than his personal wealth and ambitions. As we all know, it’s not just about concussions. The repetitive lower impact hits to the head over and over are likely just as dangerous. [***Disclaimer: Yes, yes, yes, I know all the science is not in on this issue and the sample sizes are still quite low. However, any sensible person at this point would have to admit that the anecdotal evidence as well as initial studies do point to something very significant and scary here...at least to the extent that further study is required. To say, "I don't want to talk about it" is crappy at best.] Pegs shows simultaneously his willful ignorance and lack of concern here.
