Such a great Sunday afternoon cable movie. Bona fide! I got the extended blu ray thing for my girlfriend and I watched it with her. The extra scenes make it better. It flows better and makes the story more enjoyable. Possibly the only case I can think of where adding scenes improved it.

The Guy Ritchie Sherlock Holmes reboots are way overrated. Absurd plotlines with Holmes inexplicably a smirking action hero? They do make old London look cool though.

Yes, Top Gun is worthless crap. Even if you can fight your way through the humorless tough guy mirrored-sunglasses posturing, take a look at the letdown of a leading lady. Kelly McGillis? That's the big prize? No thank you. Piece of crap movie.

I think Scarface is stupid and cheesy. I hate the Lord of the Rings stuff. Those hour long battle scenes are so boring it makes life not worth living. I liked Brown Bunny. If you stick it out [not trying to make a joke here] to the end, it's really touching and sad. I liked Killing Them Softly a lot.

Donovan looked very good last night for the Galaxy. A goal and two assists. I think that puts some pressure on Klinsmann. The roster will be announced today. If Donovan's not on it, I think fans will demand a more meaningful explanation from Klinsy than what he's offered up to now.

Klinsmann seems to be playing out some petty bitterness here. Donovan needs to be out there. On a positive note, Stuart Holden is getting the call. He’s worked extremely hard for about two years to come back from injuries. If he regains his old form, our national team is much improved. Klinsmann has announced that Holden will be on the roster.

That's one (optimistic) way of looking at it. Lots of unprovens in play here. I'm working up to a point where I can allow myself to muster some hope again.
