  1. Indeed. Not in the sense of the Bills possibly getting over the hump this season, mind you, but in terms of identifying viable candidates.
  2. Other teams have issues, yay!
  3. Great. But my post addressed the topic of the thread. And your reply offers no actual point other than the typical dose of wishful thinking.
  4. It’s not about being disrespected. They got their respect, became consensus favorites, and failed. This is about other teams improving around them and the Bills plateauing.
  5. I assume he considers Prescott more mature and composed than Allen. Part of Allen’s appeal is he seems fun-loving, but that may not work for everyone. And we know Allen can get rattled under pressure.
  6. Florio said something about the Bills so immediately his credibility becomes the topic. Got it. I’ll weigh in given I didn’t read the OP. He’s analytical, enjoys the fringe topics about league operations, etc. He does often seem to be politically motivated or partial to the conspiracy stuff.
  7. This isn’t a stretch. Rodgers was literally MVP in 2020 and 2021 (and 2011 and 2014).
  8. The thread asks to compare feelings going into '22 vs. '23. McGovern may prove to be an upgrade over Saffold, but that isn't saying much. I don't consider him a viable starter. Very pleased with the Torrence pick, but he's a rook and so sets expectations. The same tackle group is hard to fathom. If Floyd was signed to replace Epenesa then great. But he was signed to replace Miller at least for the short-term. I don't expect Miller to have an impact until late season - if at all. Hyde and Poyer coming off significant injuries and another year older is obviously a worse scenario than a year ago (Poyer didn't get much interest in FA). Rapp - a backup - was my favorite signing of the off-season.
  9. Agreed. It seems fans are still trying to convince themselves additions like McGovern, Harris, Sherfield, Harty, Ford, etc. are impactful. The roster is deeper at certain positions and hopefully a couple rookies can contribute, but overall it feels much the same as last season. Perhaps they get lucky with health issues to counteract the tougher schedule/competition.
  10. QB - same old rollercoaster ride RB - better WR - shuffling deck chairs TE - better OL - shuffling deck chairs DE - worse DT - better LB - worse CB - same old rollercoaster ride S - worse ST - meh Coaching - meh Overall - worse (mostly due to how much AFC peers are improving around them)
  11. I don’t recall if Doug Collins clapped exorbitantly.
  12. Their TEs are Knox, Kincaid, and Morris. That's it. That's all.
  13. At some point soon this roster must shift. Beane can't keep digging into cap purgatory and relying on 1-year vets to get over the hump. Next year, they can clear over $30M by cutting Dawkins, Morse, Poyer, Hines, and Harty. As you said, a Diggs trade becomes feasible. Can't cut Miller for two more years unfortunately.
  14. "You saw Eichel, right?"
  15. It comes down to competitiveness in the playoffs. Doesn't require a SB berth necessarily, but McDermott needs to right the trajectory and not get out-classed again when it counts. In fact, McDermott's seat gets much hotter if the Bills get blown out again in the playoffs as opposed to missing the wildcard cut at 10-7. He'll be measured by his ability to compete with elite teams in the spotlight and, if he fails again, his limitations as a head coach crystallize.
  16. I think "dumpy" is a good word for it. To me, he's always appeared awkwardly top-heavy. If adding weight is intentional to somehow get this guy back on track then I'm for it.
  17. And here's the "click bait" inevitably resulting from our saga. This guy's tweet casually mutates from "Diggs and Dorsey talking at practice" to "Diggs and Dorsey TALKING THROUGH SOME THINGS at practice." Good stuff.
  18. That’s the takeaway. There’s still some kind of issue. Now they’re just pushing it beneath the surface (for now) and trying to curtail the singular accusations against Diggs.
  19. No doubt The Wolf is cleaning up all this silliness.
  20. Billsy [bills-ee] adjective (of sports or competition) harvesting unique disappointment from strong odds of success. Our drama here doesn’t qualify. This is rather standard fare for pro athletes. It just manifests differently - a personality like Diggs is going to milk it.
  21. Indeed. How about this: define “billsy”………
  22. Is this “billsy”? I honestly don’t think it qualifies. Eichel forcing his way out of Buffalo only to immediately win a Stanley Cup is more “billsy”. Forget it.
