So too perhaps golf and insinuations of issues with workout regimen/film study. It's speculative. Bottom line is his best attributes as a QB - arm strength and athleticism - don't make for sustainable success. Now he has to delve into the nuances that aren't so fun.
They can’t just accept it because they can’t win that way. At least not consistently through a playoff gauntlet. Something has to give… the player, the scheme, the coaches, or personnel. It’s not working.
I did appreciate watching him play every weekend. An elite athlete capable of elite games, he’s always been inconsistent. But the entertainment value was welcomed.
Now, on any given play, I brace for the mistake. Numerous reasons for this that don’t need to be relitigated here. I think ultimately his style of play wasn’t sustainable without maturation or better system around him.
Burrow is on another level with how he processes the game mentally. He also has better weapons and the Bengals invested heavily in their OL in 2022. Bills WRs and OL have been mostly a revolving door of riff raff the past couple years.
