  1. I wouldn't call it a tackle. Tua nose-dived into him.
  2. Either way, I wasn't feeling particularly encouraged by his flubbed 4Q kickoff against AZ.
  3. Agreed. But that's football and injuries are inevitable. Downside is it's hard to get attached to players and fully commit to expectations when fortunes are so fragile play to play. Upside is how roster building is so fun 1-53+.
  4. Hill was briefly detained after disobeying police commands during a legitimate traffic stop. He wasn't injured or arrested. Given the sequence of events, it all seems rather routine.
  5. There is no Bills demise. Reality is they had to reset financially amidst plateauing success. Hopefully they stay competitive this season and make a couple significant upgrades next spring.
  6. Miller hasn't proven anything. However, Sunday was mildly encouraging.
  7. Bills 20 Dolphins 26
  8. Jackson deserves to be placed higher in the silly "rankings" these days, but I'd still take Allen over Jackson for my team right now. That being said, I'd also take Stroud and Love over Allen. It's complicated.
  9. 9 wins, although 8-9 is more likely than 10-7.
  10. "Tier 1" is Mahomes and only Mahomes. "Tier 2" is perhaps 6-8 guys you could debate in any order depending on criteria.
  11. Can't hide from this roster...danger everywhere. I expect 8-10 wins and hope they're mathematically alive through December.
  12. Josh Allen making snap decisions in tight spaces or under pressure typically doesn't bode well.
  13. Allen is a bridesmaid.
  14. Lots of people had the same sentiment about the Bucs last week.
  15. Downplaying that performance from Jackson as a “Tyrod Taylor game” is beast message-boarding. I have to admit.
  16. So this is Jackson’s first AFCCG? I’m kind of surprised by that. But you can’t argue with 2 All Pros and 2(?) MVPs. He’s one win away from flirting with Mahomes tier.
  17. According to this message board a couple weeks ago, the Ravens were going to struggle in the divisional round because they didn’t play all out to beat the Steelers in week 18. It’s all good.
  18. No risk, low upside. But I like the name recognition factor.
  19. The “team game/blame the defense or coach” stuff is perspective. One could also say Allen didn’t do enough in the first half of :13 to help the team win. Keep in mind the standard boasted around here is that Allen is a generational player, best QB in the game, and future HOFer. His team needs to appear on the big stage for any of that to ring true. No one debates he’s a consensus top 5/franchise QB and fantastic fit in Buffalo.
  20. No one is thinking that without a debilitating inferiority complex.
  21. Most of these comparisons and records rely on his rushing. The rushing proves he’s an elite athlete. We know he’s an elite athlete. But I don’t think the rushing distinguishes him as an elite QB…or better than Mahomes.
  22. Your points don’t matter. They’re window dressing to make hometown fans feel good. Two more wins (not necessarily three) and all the stats and fringe records slot into place to bolster a QB who finally ascended.
