Further to the point, Dorsey was the fourth-tier problem behind Beane (1), McDermott (2), and Allen (3). But hopefully, there’s at least a short-term spark of motivation/creativity.
Maybe Allen isn’t as “elite” as Bills fans want him to be. Maybe there’s nothing to unlock or save and he’s been figured out. Maybe the onus is on him to put in the work and improve instead of leaning on these orbiting excuses.
He makes insightful points. Articulate at the very least. But then loses credibility when he dances (flops) around on set with the rest of the clowns gunning for social media snippets.
That’s nearly impossible, thankfully. Half the roster are free agents. They’re $30+ million over the cap forcing Beane to make decisions on some of his absurd contracts like Poyer and Harty. White won’t be back. Morse is fading fast. I’m not saying the roster will look any better, but it should be quite different.
Since when does Allen thrive when there’s urgency? If anything, he needs more structure around him. Calling his own plays sounds like a rather combustible idea.
